Dc Electric

DC Electric came out on a rush basis (without charging an extra fee) as we were under a tight time frame to complete repairs. We have used this company in the past as well and they always provide excellent service, fair prices and stand behind their work. When we had a problem previously this year with a septic pump, they came out and problem solved, determining it was the pump and not the electrical connection and did not charge us as it was considered under warranty. They do the job right the first time and are extremely fair and professional.

There was a miscommunication and I called to have a light wired to a different switch. They named a day when the electrician would be out to do the switch, he never came, no call. I have not received a bill for the service that was done last month. Maybe they're waiting to do the rest, but some kind of communication would be helpful.

We've had them replace GFCIs, install light fixtures, rewire and move outlets and switches. Bruce rocks!

It was a misunderstanding in the way they priced the job beforehand. When I realized how quickly the guy got it done, it seemed like I paid more because the estimator estimated more time than it ended up taking. I thought that an estimate was not the same as a bid. The worker was very quick and efficient. He did a very good job. I thought I paid way more for time involved than I should have.

I thought it was very good. They came out in a timely manner and took care of things. I've had electricians in the past charge me 100 dollars just to come out and look at things, so I was very pleased with this one.

All three outlets were installed correctly and work good. In trying to locate the place to bring the wire through the kitchen ceiling they accidentally drilled the hole in the wrong place and severed the wire for the kitchen ceiling heat. At the time it occurred we did not know that this happened. We became aware of it this in the winter when the heat was not working. We called them and they sent a service man and he stated that they couldn't find the problem and they were not at fault. I revisited the hole and found they had in fact severed wire. I called them and told them and they stated that they didn't know how to fix it. They claimed that the heating system was to old to fix. They stated that I needed to rewire and put wall heaters in. I made repeated attempts to contact this company and they wouldn't respond. I starting calling other companies and they gave me recommendations on service providers that could fix the problem. I called DC Electric back told them about Angie's List and the boss responded quickly. I also told him about the service provider that I knew could fix the problem. DC Electric contacted the man and he showed them how to splice the wire to fix the heating. After they learned how to do it they came and corrected the problem. But, four or five months had gone by and I had to use space heaters to heat the kitchen. If my ceiling heat breaks again I will call DC Electric because they now know how to fix it.
