Description of Work: He is very friendly and a pleasure to meet, however, I never knew what time of arrival would be. Kept steering me away from putting the same laminate for a back-splash, even though I kept saying I didn't want to have to stress over finding the tiles for a back-splash it seemed to me the only way he wanted to do the job. He failed to tell me that I would have to put the sink and all the plumbing back together myself. He left a h*** of a mess and did not fully clean up. There was dust and grime in all the cupboards and drawers. I was in a hurry the day that he left to make it to a previously scheduled appointment at 5pm. I ended up being late, because he was still here finishing up, but he should have offered to come back and clean up the mess in the cabinets the next day. I had no idea it would be so bad, but I think he should have known, since he has been doing this kind of work for years

 + 0 moreIt went very smoothly. He told us what needed to be done and gave us a price. Getting a new stovetop and sink took longer than expected, but he was flexible and accommodating. He came when he said he would and completed the job in a day. Because he also does tile, he came back the next day and repaired the grout in the backsplash tile, recaulked, and even fixed my cutting board, charging me his hourly wage for the extra tasks that needed to be done (but hadn't been addressed in the original bid). He did scarf the edge of the laminate in 3 or 4 places. In another laminate, it might show, but in the pattern I selected it is not obvious and will not affect the durability of the countertop. The kitchen looks great. Bret was very low key but direct, friendly, and approachable. I will hire him again.
Description of Work: Bret removed sink, an upper cabinet that rested on the countertop, and old laminate because it ran beneath the backsplash tile. He reshaped the corners of the base because they had been poorly shaped. He installed new laminate and put the upper cabinet and molding back with no damage to cabinet, molding, or ceiling.

 + -1 moreWe had purchased tile but ran out of time to install ourselves. He came out & gave us an estimate. We set up time in the next week. He provided grout and sealer etc. We only provided tile. He showed up on time and did a beautiful job.
Description of Work: Installed marble backsplash in kitchen.
