Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning

We had a new HVAC system installed about a year ago. After a few months I started noticing our natural gas bill was higher than it'd ever been and also started smelling something coming up through the vents into the house. My husbands nose isn't very good so when I'd mention smelling something off he said he couldn't smell anything. In the last couple of months the smell got so bad in the guest bathroom I was keeping the door shut with the fan on but a few days ago I woke up to the smell in our bedroom and I went and shut down the vents in the house. Thankfully we had previously scheduled our yearly maintenance with Alpine and my husband asked the tech to check for leaks when he showed up. My husband said the gas detector was going crazy and he realized the heater has been leaking all this time. My husband called the Manager and there was no apology, no offer for the filter replacement, nothing. We're thankful the Tech figured out the problem and is fixing it. Side note, we're actually being charged for the filter replacement after finding out their shoddy installation could have killed us in our sleep. I'd recommend this knowledgable employee but not the company.

Fine, quick professional and on time

The install when went superbly. Since I was in the middle of remodeling and new sheetrock Alpine made an extra trip to install the lines inside the wall before I added the sheetrock. This allowed me to avoid lines running down the outside wall of home. I had one issue with the unit and their technician Brandon Franks came to diagnose and repair. He had a very sociable and enjoying personality and was very knowledgeable in resolving the issue. I highly recommend this company.

I've had excellent service from Alpine on two occasions, and I highly recommend them. About six months ago they installed a ductless mini-split system for one room in our house not served by our main system. Their price was great, installation was smooth, and the mini-split has been working well. This weekend our main system heat pump broke. Brandon came out on Saturday, diagnosed the problem, and said they would see about getting a replacement part on Monday when their suppliers opened. On Monday, he returned with the necessary part and now everything is working great. Brandon is extremely friendly, very informative, and confidence-inspiring. I enjoyed chatting with him, and I came away from our two interactions knowing a lot more about how my system works. He seems to have a genuine joy in working with customers and addressing their concerns, including answering a ton of questions in my case. Drew (the owner) has also been great.

Tech James Barrett was punctual, knowledgeable, competent and friendly. Diagnosed the problem quickly, suggested solutions and gave us estimates. I'd recommend him (and Alpine) to anyone with heating/cooling problems. I'll definitely call again next time I need service.

Alpine and specifically Brian were amazing. I had three separate bids to do the work. Their initial bid was very close to one other, and well below two others (like 60% of the others). Brian told me that his bid was likely the max it would be, and depending on time etc. would likely be lower. Brian was right on time, called head of time, and truly HUSTLED the entire time - literally running up and down our steep driveway to his truck, coming in and checking with me on items, etc. He was dripping sweat from moving so quickly (in a good way). Not only did he move the condenser himself (said it would likely require a second Alpine worker thereby increasing cost) but he completed the work in much less time than initially estimated and was super friendly about it the whole time. Obviously this will not happen every time with every one of their jobs, BUT the final invoice came in at almost 50% of their initial estimate, saving us hundreds of dollars - which we can certainly use with the overall bedroom addition. I had a question about the work afterwards (over email) and they got back to me same day to address my question. I cannot recommend them enough, and will certainly use them again and spread the word of their awesomeness as much as I can.

It went well. However the communication between the girls that work in the office to the customer isn't as well as one would hope. It shouldn't be the customer calling them for what's going on, etc. it should be the other way around.

They did a great job. They found out the parts were still under warranty which saved me a bunch of money. Very satisfied with their work.

Drew was immed. responsive to our request and was on site the very next day even though it was a Saturday. he determined the cause of the problems and was great at explaining what was needed. We will use Alpine exclusively. They are terrific.

I called and talked with Drew in the main office, he was very helpful and knowledgeable. He helped by working with the warranty on our unit to get us the part we needed. Took a little while to get the right numbers and the right part through Carrier, but that was because of they kept asking us for a number that didn't exist, Drew finally got ahold of a person at Carrier who knew what they were talking about and we were able to get the part. The technician promptly came the next day and made the repairs and had another part in his van that we needed as well. Drew was very upfront about the cost and was the only HVAC unit company in town the itemized the cost for me upfront. He was also one of the few that would provide a loose estimate without a diagnostic. I highly recommend this company and have suggested them to several of my coworkers already.

Ultimately I went with another contractor because of the very strong recommendation from a friend about the other contractor. However Drew from Alpine was very responsive, offered good options, explained the options and his price was the best. It was a difficult decision.

They were here on time both for the estimate and the install. Completed in one day. Cleaned up and left everything clean. Easy to work with. Price was reasonable and below other estimates.

They did the diagnostic for the heating and cooling for which they charged me $100. They were excellent. They were on time, they knew what they talking about, they were very professional, and very knowledgeable. They are much less expensive.

Our heat pump died in the midst of a heat wave and we were desperate for air conditioning. I called a number of companies to get bids. Drew from Alpine came out after hours since he was so busy during the day. He was the only company to check out the entire system including climbing into the crawl space to make sure our present duct work was in good shape. He did NOT just assume anything! The service was outstanding. On time, efficient, friendly and very informative throughout the process. I knew what they were doing at all times without having to ask - refreshing! I can't say enough about Drew and the entire crew at Alpine Heating. My new system is everything I was promised and more. The price was right as well. I didn't pay for anything that was not needed and I received the best equipment and service. I highly recommend them and will go nowhere else for my needs.

We had ceiling heat that was about 33 years old and worked when it felt like it...so we were tired of the ceiling heat working part-time. It went out in a couple rooms... So we decided to look into purchasing a heat pump. Working with Alpine was a wonderful experience. We had several estimates and we liked Alpine's estimate along with visiting with Drew on what we needed. Drew (and his staff) is very knowledgeable, personable, professional and very easy to talk with. He answered our questions and took his time with us while we decided. We also looked in review on Alpine (and the other companies) ion-line and at SUB. When we decided to go with Alpine, we worked together to schedule installation of the heat pump and they showed up promptly every day for the four day it took to install the heat pump. They did their work as estimated and they were very thorough. They cleaned up great when they finished. Their prices for services were resonable and I feel they did a wonderful job. My family is very pleased. We went through SUB's energy audit program for the $500 rebate. Drew and his company did the paperwork for us. The inspectors who came out were impressed with Alpine's installation and operation of the unit. It passed with flying colors. Drew and his co-workers are wonderful to work with- Apline is highly recommended.

I would highly recommend Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning. We had several estimates and they came in quite a bit cheaper than the big companies. Drew, one of the owners, was very responsive to our questions and concerns. He came to the house and took measurements, looked at our old system and then sent a bid via email. Their prices were extremely reasonable. They showed up on time, completed the project in one day and left the work area clean. I am really glad that I found them, they saved us thousands and the warranty on the Amana units are better than the warranty offered by the bigger companies. I enjoyed working with them and would highly recommend them to anybody.

One of the owners came to the house to look at the old system and take measurements. Then he e-mailed a work proposal with two different options to choose from. We made our chose and called and made an appointment. They showed up on time had the old system out and the new system installed in one day. The work and clean up were both outstanding and all questions answered.We started with three different estimates before choosing the Amana; one for a Trane, one for a Bryant and one for the Amana. The Amana and Bryant were within fifty dollars of each other and the Trane was over twice as much; one of the reasons we chose the Amana. The other reason we went with the Amana was for the personal service given to us by Alpine.
