 + -1 moreAll was done just the way kyle said, he and crew worked together completing maple tree first & tree fire tree. Chipped limbs & lift yard neat & tidy. I was pleased with their service.
Description of Work: I maple tree removed from lawn all limbs chipped & hauled away I fix tree removed next to back fence stump on maple ground neat & tidy when completed.

 + -1 moreThe first time I used Tree Pro was nearly 25 years ago, to try to save a front yard big tree. He took out the dead wood & the tree is still standing & looks great. Through the years, he has done numerous jobs for us, from pruning up Palm trees to advice on Japanese Maples. He has cleared a tree out & pruned it up when it was too close to the house. He has always been respectful, helpful, efficient, & pleasant, and he explains what he needs to do to keep the trees healthy.
Description of Work: The most recent project was removing several trees from our creek. It was a dangerous job. Several trees involved - all at different stages, from leaning to uprooted. He completely cleared it out and took care of clean-up too.

 + -1 moreHe came over, and not only was he on time, he was also very respectful and professional. They worked very quickly and efficiently without damaging any other trees or my property. I also had him analyze a couple of other trees while he was there, and he was very knowledgeable the whole time.
Description of Work: I hired him as we had a tree that was precariously leaning and looked like it was about to take out a roof and 2 out buildings.

 + -1 moreHow'd it go -- terrible -- Kyle's son came to my home to give me a quote. There are four limbs that need to be removed plus some dead undergrowth. I asked how much and almost fainted when he said, "$600"! "Are you joking - Kyle has taken out entire trees for half that amount" I told him. He looked at the tree again and said he could come down to $400. I said that was ridiculous! As I was walking back into the house he was telling me about the increase in costs and gas -- gas is lower than it's been in years! I'm extremely disappointed in Kyle's son -- and Kyle as well, that he has not passed on his integrity to his offspring!
Description of Work: I wanted my oak tree limbed -- it was a fairly simple job but one that a 70 yo should not be doing. I had previous experience with Kyle removing and limbing several of my trees in the past at a very reasonable cost.

 + -1 moreI contacted Tree Pros in Spring 2013 to request an estimate to top/trim the very tall Birch tree in front of my mobile home. April 20th a representative, name Kyle, came by to a**** requirements while I was not at home and left a note suggesting that I wait until Fall to trim. In the Fall of 2013 I called again asking to schedule the work and received a V/M that it would done in December. Remembering that the cost for the work hadn't been discussed, I called again and left a V/M asking for the price (as a senior on Social Security, I wanted to be sure I had funds for the amount that would be charged; I also wondered if a senior discount would be offered), but I never received a callback from this company. Today is February 8, 2014, and there have been two heavy snowfalls within two days and within the past 24 hours freezing rain has been falling. A few minutes ago, I heard a loud bang in front of my home. A long, large Birch tree limb broke and fell against the house. As a result of the heavy ice on the long branches, they are breaking. To say the least, I'm disappointed and disgusted with this company; one return phone call would have prevented this damage.

Description of Work: Tree Pro trimmed 4 large trees. Per my request they left the larger branches cut up in firewood sized pieces and chipped the rest. I also had a bunch of branches around the yard from my own trimming that I asked to have chipped up.

 + -1 moreHe began taking the tree down at 1035, saying it would be a two or three hour job. I had also requested that he cut the trunk and limbs into 'firewood' length -- about 17" -- he said there would be no charge for this service. I also reminded him of a spike I had hammered into trunk years ago to keep it from splitting. At 1215 Kyle is raking up leaves. He has about 8 feet of the trunk still standing. Kyle is a true expert at what he does. He brought every limb down safely; without harm to nearby trees or structures -- by himself -- it was amazing to watch. 1pm he left to unload his trailer and grab some lunch and maybe a little 'down-time'. He deserved it -- there was no wasted motion -- he worked all during the time he was here. He was back about an hour later. He began grinding the stump out. Besides the brush removal, this is what took the most time. Kyle's bid was $250.00 -- I gave him $275.00 and if I'd had the funds available I would have given him $350 because he deserved it.
Description of Work: I called five different companies to get bids on a tree removal job in my back yard. It was extremely important in this instance that whoever I decided on to do the work, must be able to bring the tree down without damaging any of the surrounding foliage or my home; all of which was in very close proximity. Kyle from "Tree Pro" called within a few hours to set up an appointment to come out and look at the job. I was very impressed with his response time and his professionalism. A few days later Kyle showed up to give me a bid. Kyle spent almost an hour at my home thoroughly looking over my tree from "top to bottom!" At the end of his visit I had a bid for $250.00. The bid included the following hand-written statement, "Tree in back yard to be removed. All work done safely without any damage. All brush and debris hauled away. Stump ground out. Area left neat and clean when complete." I received bids from four of five companies that I contacted. Kyle's bid was $100-200 less than the other bids, and although I've heard warnings about choosing the lowest bid -- in this case my instincts about this gentleman were right on! He was true to his word, albeit a bit late to begin with, but I can forgive him this minor discretion, he did such a great job. He is also a Certified Botanist. I felt this was an important distinction that I forgot to include in my original review. 08/07/11 jr
