The resulting deck area is a huge improvement on the space that previously led to our house. Mark suggested changes to our design idea that improved the result and decreased our cost. He's very responsive to messages and easy to talk with.

Very well. Mark uses top quality materials and does excellent work. He is very professional both in the quality of the work and his scheduling. He told me when he would be doing the work each day which helped me plan the remainder of my day. I am retired, but I still have things to do. Would definitely hire him again.

Mark did a great job. He jumped right in when we needed help finishing our project. We would hire Mark again if we needed a contractor. We were very happy with the finished project.

There was no rush to this extensive job, thus it took 13 months to complete. Granted 4 of those months were taken up by government and bureaucratic hoops that needed to be jumped through. Mark went through all the details with me and attended the various hearings needed for permits to get this work done. The amount of permits and paperwork was large and everything was taken care of by Mark. The work amounted to the following:An illegal addition had to be removed. The garage height was increased by two feet and totally rewired and rebuilt. The master bathroom size was doubled, while adding a laundry room and exterior landing and stairs. The kitchen, hallway, and one bedroom were stripped to the studs and rebuilt and new cabinets added. The stairway to the second floor was transformed from a narrow and extremely steep set of stairs to a modern staircase with a landing. A majority of the existing wiring was replaced. Hardwood floors were installed upstairs and downstairs. All new plumbing fixtures were installed. The house was insulated. The poor soil drainage was corrected by rerouting the drain spouts underground and the majority of the backyard covered with beautiful paving stones. The quality of the cabinet work was exceptional. Solid wood, great slides and hardware. They were so good in fact. that I had more made for the garage. To summarize: The quality of work and materials was simply the best. Mark made every effort to keep all the details 'in period' to match and compliment the historic nature of the house. As the few inevitable problems cropped up they were brought to my attention. Alternatives were suggested and implemented. The whole job was a collaboration, not merely a transaction. Great care was taken and I had total confidence in the whole process.
