Jared (owner) is excellent communicator and provided bid, design and build complete services. Very conscientious, honest and quality experience for us. Jared's crew are very skilled carpenters and were respectful of our home and family space during demo and all phases of the two remodels. We are extremely satisfied customers and will hire Thayer Construction again for our next project that eclipses my limited DIY skills.

There were several aspects of the experience that were remarkably positive. Both Jared and his partner/wife were very responsive to phone, email, text and my many questions. I was really impressed with Jared’s flexibility. Due to some circumstances outside my control, the project had to be started, stopped and then started again. Jared handled the changes with much grace and good humor. One of the most delightful aspects of working with Jared was the creativity and artistry he contributed to the design of the project. What I proposed was a fairly standard (read: bland) basement project. Jared suggested some design changes that really made the space not only functional, but special and unique as well. Jared also has a wealth of contacts to draw on to contribute expertise to any project. The team who came to my house were all talented professionals who, as a added bonus, left a clean, orderly work area at the end of the day. I would recommend Thayer Construction without reservation and should any remodeling or construction needs arise, would happily work with them again.

All we wanted was to have the help of a professional who could ease the stress and make us feel cared for, calmed, and in control to the extent needed without the burden of micro management. Jared was perfect. The communication was top notch- he took the time to educate us as he went and listened to all of our needs and concerns. The suggestions he made were intelligent, in budget, and made the finished product so much better. All construction has setbacks, it's part of the process, but Jared and Joe were so on top of every detail that the small things that did come up were dealt with easily, succinctly, and quickly. We never fell behind nor did we see huge change orders rolling in. We are so impressed with Jared's craftsmanship and professionalism and recommend him for any size project. He is worth every penny.

Jared has a range of excellent construction skills, and will consult with other experts on tricky repairs to make sure it's done right the first time. His charges are also reasonable and he is definitely reliable.
