I lease a space on the corner of SE 23rd and SE Hawthorne Blvd. Honestly it would take a book to tell you all the awful - really awful - things they did - including threatening me and my employees. They work an average of 4 hours per day with no warning as to when they will and will not be working. They placed an outhouse 4 feet from my restaurant door and take great pleasure on letting my customers and me know when they are taking care of business. They intentionally wait until outdoor diners get their food and then sweep debris on them. Today they tried to get me arrested (and still may) for "disrupting them" after they reversed the airflow so that all my customers got sick from the tar fumes and left. Do not use this company - they are incredibly disrespectful and quite intimidating. Angies list needs to remove them so no other nice people have to experience these thugs. Even legal intervention didn't work. Steer very, very clear!!!

There were various problems with the roof. I liked the connection with the company and the man who managed the job, but when the workers were there, there were some big problems. Once when I had made an arrangement to have Carlson do it, they couldn't get here for about three weeks because the weather got really bad and after they completed the work and the workers returned it rained that night and I guess fairly they hadn't covered it adequately and a lot of water leaked into the house. That was pretty bad. The next day when they were working on it the workers lifted it and they put through the interior ceiling in the house. There were three different places and I guess at two different places the ceiling broke through. It's an old house (1925) and it had to done after the roof was finished and perhaps they didn't handle that well, but I still had some mixed review. The company seemed fine, but I was not happy with the workers. It wasn't an easy job because it was such an old house and the roof had to be put on. There was a lot of damage to the shaping underneath the roof and the company did a good job of identifying that problem and correcting that (that's why the cost was so much) but the performance of the people on the job, I didn't have problems with them. The crew was not a good crew. I was in contact with them the whole time. The guy that was managing was very responsive and very cooperative. He got out there and tried to fix everything that was a problem in a very professional way. I would want people to make sure that or if somebody who are working with them to talk with the project manager about the quality of the crew that they are going to get and also that they do not get a crew that has temporary workers and that they are working with workers that the company has had for a long time.
Description of Work: Bob Carlson Inc did the roof for me in November.
