Description of Work: We hired Crown to put a new roof on our house. We had a 30+ year old shank roof that needed to come off and they replaced it with top of the line composite shingles with a 50 year warranty ($1000 to $2000 below any other bids we received). The work they did was great and the crew and staff I interacted with were friendly, courteous, an pleasant to deal with. They started the job well before they estimated they would get to it and finished it up in 3 days. They cleaned up well after the job, mostly (after the first day we did find a single nail in the yard next to the driveway.) There were only two issues that we had at all. The first was getting a call back after the first time I called to get an estimate. I had to call numerous times to get call backs and follow-ups. I even gave up on them initially and only called back again because they were strongly recommended by some of our friends and neighbors. This seems to be the standard however, as we had this problem with the other 2 companies we had bid on the roof as well. The other issue we had is that one day when we came back home while they were still here, they were on break and at least one of them was smoking. My wife has asthma and cigarette smoke is one of her worse triggers, so she had to pretty much hold her breath while she crossed the street, walked up the driveway and sidewalk and into the house. They weren't near the door, but I believe they should be more aware of situations like that. Granted, these are minor issues and didn't effect the quality of work they did. Overall we are pleased with the work they did and they manor they dealt with us on a personal level and would recommend them.

Description of Work: Nothing. Too busy to provide an estimate for roof repairs. Said it would take 2 to 3 months to get to my place for an estimate. Did not seem interested in my business.

+ -1 moreThe roof was replaced 16 years ago with a composition roof. We had a water leak in the bathroom. The roof above has a valley 18 feet long with two roof peaks on each side. The water leakage could have been anywhere along the 18 foot valley. The decision was made to build a roof cover over this area and leak was sealed. We have had 14 inches since with no leaks.
Description of Work: they built a cover roof over the valley with two peaks. Crown Roofing removed the existing roofing, clean up and haul away all debris. They extended a velux skylight tube as needed. Roof the new low slope section using one layer of 1/2" EPS underlayment & one layer of VERSICO reinforced 60 mil TPO roofing membrane. INCLUDES pre-painted facia drip edge, rake edge, step flashing.

+ -1 moreWork was squeezed in during very busy, seasonal time of year. Other roofers in the area were all over the map in terms of what was needed to fix the problems and cost ----and appeared to be much less professional than Crown in their bidding, etc. My contact at Crown was a true professional and is great to work with. I plan to use Crown again in the future and they come highly recommended by many people I spoke with about roofers because I was new to the area.

+ -1 moreWe contacted Crown to replace the metal roof on our house with a composition shingle roof. They provided a detailed estimate. We elected to remove the old roof ourselves, saving over $800. They did extensive dry rot repairs on a time and materials basis, then installed 1/2-inch plywood sheathing, tar paper, and shingles. It looks great, and their workers really knew their job. Wes, the owner, was on site much of the time and was concerned that the job was done to our complete satisfaction.
