Square 1 Electric

The tech who performed the installation knew what he was doing. (A friend in construction verified this recently.) He was polite, attentive to the installation, and cleaned up the dust from drilling afterward. He explained that he would need to establish an additional outlet in my wall that would be accessible for plugging in the wall-mounted TV and associated equipment. I gave him my permission to do what was necessary.

Mike was on time and did a great job. He was thorough with his estimate and the job was done well. He even paid particular attention to other wires to an alarm system not related to the job and secured them as well to the new conduit.

I would recommend Square 1 to anyone needing an electrician. They were friendly, punctual, and did great work on a large and difficult job. The inspector only had good things to say and so did my handyman who said it was clear that they took pride in their work. They managed to keep damage to the walls to a minimum, which was a big plus for me, and the price was much less than any other estimate I received. Don't think twice about hiring these guys.

purchased 2 hours of service at great rate, but the repairman was so good he was done in one. he gave me advice on another project and didn't charge me for supplies. wish id been able to use him for the whole time.

It went so well with the 2 hour coupon service that I requested a bid from them for our kitchen remodel which they were awarded. They have done a great job and even agreed to complete the work in phases to allow me to schedule other subcontractors. These guys are great and I will definitely continue to use them.

Excellent service from start to end. Mike was knowledgeable and patient. I had tons of questions and he took the time to explain. I was impressed with his professionalism.

Perfection. Electrician was punctual, friendly, efficient and hard working. The phone receptionist was sociable, funny and made scheduling painless. Electrician was able to complete a rather difficult job in the 2 hours I purchased. I cannot imagine having this process go any smoother. You have a customer for life.

Square One Electric was fantastic to work with from start to finish. From the moment of scheduling, the team was prompt, polite, and professional. The receptionist was able to provide an estimate for the small job over the phone and it was right on target. Scheduling was easy as they were able to provide service within a week. I purchased a Big Deal and stayed relatively within the amount with the exception of permit prices, etc. which they explained upfront. Very happy and would definitely use again. Thanks!

I called Square 1 Electric to schedule an install for a GFCI outlet in my crawl space for a sump pump. The staff was courteous and was able to get me scheduled the next day and pulled the permit. Mark came out and did an excellent job installing the outlet. I happened to be selected at random for a county code inspection, everything passed. I will use Square 1 for any future electrical work I require.

Holly replied immediately and set up an appointment with Kurt for a free estimate. Kurt arrived on time and gave an accurate estimate based on time plus materials which is fair to both customer and provider. I purchased fans, switches, light fixtures, and ceiling light trim kits and did my best to have all spaces cleared and accessible to save on labor costs. On the day scheduled for my work, Mike and James arrived on time and worked well as a team to do all tasks within the estimated time. Mike and James are both efficient and polite. You could not possibly find anyone better. We asked them to remove 3 old fans and install two new fans (bath and laundry rooms) and to replace one light fixture which was centered over the bathroom cabinets with two light fixtures centered over the sinks. Before the bathroom fan was installed, Mike asked me if I wanted it "here" or "there." I chose "here." When the installation was complete, I had to say, "Sorry. I was wrong. Can you please move it 'there.'" Mike and James did what I wanted without batting an eye. We had discovered an uncovered and unused junction box behind a bathroom mirror. Mike moved that and covered it per current code. We also asked Mike and James to replace several ivory switches and outlets with white ones, work we could have done ourselves, but they were so fast at it that it simply didn't make sense for us to bother with it. As part of more remodeling/repairs, others will do related sheet rock patching and will install fan ducting and venting. The only task we planned but could not complete was to replace the trim kits for ceiling lights in the kitchen. When Mike started the job, he discovered the parts we bought would not fit. I have to special order parts. When those parts arrive, we will schedule another appointment with Square1 Electric for installation.

I signed up for a 2 hour special and received a contact message right away. I had some questions about the replacement of my outdoor lights and called to discuss it. I spoke with a company representative who gave me some good tips about saving money by purchasing my own fixtures and having them here for the electrician. On the day of the service there was at first one man who timely and professional. He started working on the projects and soon a 2nd electrician came and also worked on the project. As my house is almost 100 years old, there needed to be some electrical upgrade before the fixtures could be attached which were done. I also had to pay $65 for a permit fee and was told a sticker would arrive (hasn't arrived yet) to be attached to my electric box. All in all, I think they did a very efficient job. The two hours were just about used up so I liked the special deal.

Overall it went well. Mark was on time, but James was 45 min late which made if difficult for Mark to hand the chandelier. The old outdoor outlet box was metal and was replaced by a plastic one, seems cheaper. But overall I am glad I got all this work done and wish I had done it sooner!

The process was very smooth. The man showed up on time, was very polite and informative, and did his best to save me money on materials and time.

Mark arrived on time. He proved to be knowledgeable and efficient. I showed him the two problems: (1) a suddenly dim new LED bulb in the downstairs hall, on the same circuit as the new LED bulbs at the top and the bottom of the stairs, which were bright; and (2) an intermittently noisy bathroom ceiling fan/light. Naturally, just like when you take your car to your mechanic and it won't make that odd noise, neither of these two problems occurred when Mark first looked at them. He examined the wiring for the formerly dim LED bulb and pronounced it OK, so we concluded that the bulb was at fault and replaced it with another new LED bulb, which was bright. Next, he found that the bathroom ceiling fan/light motor was covered with talcum powder, causing poor performance; Mark took it down, cleaned the motor, the trim, and the ceiling enclosure, and put it back all together - it is much quieter now. I appreciate Mark's knowledge and execution and will ask for him should I need electrical assistance again.

he did nothing all he needed to do after he showed up was to call me back or give me an idea 21 days later nothing Is this typical??? The owner KURT? JUST MADE EVERYTHING EVEN MORE DEGRADING- by having one of his secretaries call to apologize saying he was jst so busy REALLY THIS GUY IS APPARENTLY TAKING ON WAY TO MUCH BUSINESS MY OPINION-STAY AWAY-APOLOGIES THAT STAFF HAVE TO GIVE FOR YOU ARE INCREDIBLY LAME!!!!!

The work was done in a day, I think it was about 6 hrs with two people. It's been a few months since the install and everything has functioned well so far.

Working with Square 1 was an excellent experience. Everyone I worked with on the team was incredibly polite, professional and friendly. The project manager / estimator helped walk me through exactly what to expect in terms of scope and cost, and then the crew's leader made sure I was in the loop on how the execution of the plan was going. Taking on such a large project made me nervous as a first time home buyer, especially spending such a large amount of money! But the team made me feel at ease, and I saw that I was getting an excellent value for my money. The quality for the price was more than I expected - and it comes with a ten year warranty and peace of mind that everything is safe and functioning properly.

Service was excellent, prompt and quick. Mitch was able to diagnose the problem switch correctly and fix it and suggest a simple light fixture and switch for a closet that looks as if it was always there. No damage to the walls or paint at all! Very happy with the service. Though not cheap, assurance that it was done correctly was worth the peace of mind.
