Not well. They didn't follow through.

This upgrade went really smoothly. SQ1 was punctual and professional. Jim did the estimate and was happy to answer questions about brands and scope of work when I called him back several days later. Work was done by Wayne and his apprentice Nate. They were both courteous and Wayne gave me some tips for getting a discount on home-owner?s insurance because of the safety equipment they updated. The county inspector found no problems with SQ1's work and was impressed with the way they labelled circuits headed into the breaker box so you can see which circuit you are working on when the cover is removed.

Working with the folks at Square 1 Electric was a pleasure from start to finish. The price was reasonable, and both the estimator and installer clearly knew what they were doing. I'd definitely use Square 1 again.

Several bad switches replaced and a loose wire reconnected. Main panel checked and all outlets checked. Service provider was prompt, very knowledgeable and friendly.

The electrician called to see if it was okay if he came a bit early, which it was, then worked steadily through our 4 hrs of projects, making good progress. He was efficient, professional, and competent. I am very happy with the service.

We purchased an Angie's list deal for this work. My first contact with Square1 was by phone with Holly who did an excellent job. She is very knowledgable and very pleasant to deal with. Since there was a question of space in the entry for the A frame ladder required for the job she made an appointment with one of their estimators to evaluate the job. When the estimator, Kurt looked over the space he assured us it would be no problem getting the 17 foot ladder into the entry and positioned correctly. The Two man electrician crew, Mark and Micah, showed up on time on the scheduled day. They covered all flooring surfaces with tarps for protection and brought the 17' A frame ladder in with great care, took down the old fixture and installed the new fixture. During the two hours Mark and Micah were in our home they at all times conducted themselves professionally and treated our home and us with respect. They were friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Mark even asked if we had something he could use to remove cobwebs he saw when he was on top the ladder. Before they left they did an inspection of the electrical panel which is in our garage. We have bikes hanging on the wall that slightly overlap the panel, so my husband took them down for the electricians, but when he retunrned to the garage to put them back, he found that Mark and Micah had already done it. We would definitely hire Square1 again. From the first contact to the last we were completely satisfied with this company. "

Mark and Micah were quick, efficient, friendly, and did beautiful work. Mark even stayed late to finish the big job in one day. I would definitely use Square 1 Electric again should the need arise.

Did a great job, provided several recommendations after assessing the area and finished quickly. Very pleased with the work and paid exactly what we were quoted for. (Even though the actual permit actually costed more than what was expected) Highly recommended! We shopped for several other options and square 1 gave the most reasonable quote and was most responsive. Will use them again.

Courteous single electrician arrived when promised. Project finished in one day as promised by estimator only by bringing additional persons to help in afternoon. We had requested to pay time & materials rather than a bid cost. We provided all the lighting fixtures to connect. Only surprise was that they underestimated the amount of time needed by one electrician to complete the lighting changes, so the cost was significantly higher than anticipated with extra electricians needed. It was more time consuming than the estimator expected to fit conduit & adding the lights on the ceilings in 3 rooms. It seemed fair despite higher cost because we were there all day and the electricians were not wasting time, but working diligently. We were very happy with the results & I would definitely use this company again.

I had scheduled someone to come and install a microwave, based on Angie's list reviews of your company. At the same time, I scheduled an estimator to come out and give me a bid on several things I wanted done in the house. The estimator came out about 10 days ago, and never even contacted me with the estimate. The appt for the microwave installation had already been set, so went ahead with that, not knowing how much it would cost. I could not be there for the work, but my daughter was there. After that was done,the installer talked with my daughter and said he had more time available, so my daughter asked him to install the light switch for the kitchen light. The installer left a mess, did not clean up anything, not even picking up wires or sheetrock pieces he left all over the kitchen and dining room. He scraped the paint in the newly painted dining room and kitchen, which could have been avoided with just a small amount of care. We were charged $50 for parts which in reality probably cost about $10, and the two plastic switch covers he installed did not even come close to matching the paint and will have to be replaced anyway. One light switch cover was crooked when installed (the first thing I noticed when I saw it), so my husband had to take it off and fix it Over all, it was not a good experience, and I will not be using Square 1 Electric again.

Excellent service - every part of my experience with this company was good from the initial call, to the electrician, to scheduling inspections, to invoicing. We had a power surge run through our house, which blew out our main circuit. We called several electricians, and Square 1 was the only company that went out of their way to make sure someone could get to our house that day (another provider told me I needed to wait two weeks...even after I told him I was without power). I believe our electrician was Mike. He was very professional and helpful. He explained our options thoroughly and did excellent work. Square 1 is definitely my "go to" electrical company.

Determined that PGE had a "surge" problem out on the street pole. We had electricity in only half of the house. PGE came and fixed - all is well. Square 1 switched our breaker so that we had electricity where we needed it until the problem was solved.

From my first phone call to the company, I was impressed with the professionalism of the people at Square 1. Setting up an appointment was easy, and the woman who helped me was very accommodating and friendly. Because our ceiling is over 8 feet tall, she told us that we would need to have two electricians, which made perfect sense. She also went over their fees, so we knew exactly what to expect. On the day of the service, Alvis and Mark got here slightly late, but they did contact us to let us know and told us when to expect them. Once they got here, they completed the work quickly and efficiently. They offered good suggestions and seemed genuinely interested in our satisfaction. We're very happy with the results! We will definitely use Square 1 again!

Was able to squeeze me in earlier than expected. The whole job took less than 15 minutes. Very fast, efficient, and friendly. I would recommend.

Great service- I was scheduled promptly

I recently purchased a full electric vehicle, and wanted to upgrade from the 120vac charger to the Level-2 240volt 32 amp unit. This required a licensed electrician, because there is no way I am messing around in my breaker panel. I had a position where a welder outlet was connected, but it was a 50amp breaker, so I needed to have the EV charger mounted, then connected where the welder was, and the 50amp breaker swapped out for a 40amp. I called around a number of places and either did not get my calls returned, or could not schedule in a reasonable time frame. Then I called Square 1. The office manager was very pleasant and charming to speak with, we scheduled an appointment for about 4 days off. On the appointed day, and at the exact time, Wayne arrived. He was able to locate my home without any additional guidance other than the brief information I gave when booking my appointment. This accomplishment is no small feat. Only my Postman has been able to do that. All others tend to call, completely lost. This set the stage for what observing a master craftsman can do. Wayne had every tool he needed, and all the parts. He quickly evaluated how to mount my unit, and did so in minutes. The install of the unit would have taken me much longer, and not nearly as well done. Wayne then completed the wiring and energizing of the charger, and was all wrapped up in one hour. I would completely recommend Square 1 Electric, and I plan on using them in the future for another electrical improvement project I have in mind. I especially would like Wayne to perform my work.

We were very impressed with all aspects of our service from start to finish. Every person from the office staff to the salesperson/estimator to the electricians were very professional and responsive. The crew that came to perform the work did such a great job and were really respectful of our home. We barely had any damage to the walls or ceilings, pretty much just a little chipping in the plaster around outlets and fixtures, and they did a good job of cleaning up everyday. Our home feels much safer now that the knob and tube has been replaced, as well as our ceilings fans which weren't properly braced. As with any project in an old house there were some unexpected issues but I feel like they addressed them quickly and fairly. They also honored an Angieslist deal that was expiring to do all 3 floors of our home which I really appreciated. We'll barely have anything to do in the future, but if we do, they will be our go to electricians!

Holly in the office was friendly during booking discussions, and we were psyched when they had a cancellation and she called us to see if we'd like to move the service up. In order to ensure an accurate estimate and that the tech could be prepared, I submitted a report to the office with pictures and a clear description of the current state of each item and what needed to be done (as per the inspection report), and a couple of things that I did not want done (because we didn't need them or I could do them myself for cheaper). My boyfriend Patrick was home for the service. The tech arrived promptly but without the instruction on services needed that I had provided. All my boyfriend could do was take the time to look up and find his old copy of the report which did not reflect the edits I'd specifically sent to the office. It seems as if the tech did a good job but the invoice did not site individual things he did, only generalizations. I'm way too pregnant to try to get up in the attic or down in the crawlspace to check. He left the door open (honest mistake, boyfriend told him we have indoor cats) but then he left the crawlspace open and they got out--boyfriend spent hours trying to lure them back in. He left at some point to go to Home Depot and charged $145 for materials but did not provide a receipt. When I asked the office for a copy of the receipt the next day they broke down the type of materials he had purchased but still didn't provide one. The tech ended up doing the things on the list I told the office I didn't want done including purchasing and installing a new motion sensor when we didn't need it at all because we had purchased a solar powered replacement. I msg'd Holly my qualms and asked that she verify the items done with the tech, provide a receipt, and address that things I'd ask not be done were done. She did apologize for the office not having provided the tech with my instructions but basically said that the cost was still within the estimate (the highest possible amount within), without addressing that maybe the hourly labor and materials cost may have been higher than necessary (citing that even with the pictures and descriptions they needed to see if first and dismissing the cost of the labor and materials for things I had requested not be done as "nominal"), did not provide the receipt, and with no mention of the cat-situation bummer. Basically "sorry we didn't prepare the tech but everything is what it is" kind of vibe. So the work is done and seems decent but I'm left feeling kind of lukewarm about the services overall and the price we ended up paying for them.

Came up to our house twice on the same coupon. Did an outstanding job on all the work.

We moved into our home about a month ago, and the previous owners had programmed the front porch lights to go on at 4:30pm. We had never seen the particular switch used, and didn't know how to program it. In addition, our home inspectors had overlooked a non-functioning GFCI outlet in our dining room that caused four additional electric outlets to be nonfunctional. We also had a patio light that did not work, even with a new lightbulb. So, I called another Super Service provider, Mike'e Electric, and learned we lived outside of their service area. They referred us to Square 1. I called Square 1 on a Thursday, hoping to set up an appointment the following week. Turns out they were booked solid two weeks out, but I went ahead and booked an appointment then. A week later, the company calls me and tells me they have a cancellation and the technician can come over immediately. I was at work, didn't know if my wife would be home, so I asked to call them back. The receptionist sounded put off by that request, but told me to call back quickly. Once I knew my wife would be home, I called them back and they arrived within 30 minutes. Wayne was very professional, identified the nonfunctioning GFCI outlet, then told my wife he didn't have any replacements with him. Rather than go two blocks up the road to an Ace Hardware in our neighborhood, he drove 5 miles each way to Lowe's Home Improvement Store, charging us for every minute he was gone. He returned about 30 minutes later, replaced the GFCI outlet, checked the associated outlets to make sure they were working, and opened up the patio light to identify a loose wire within which he quickly tightened. Finally, he showed my wife how to open the front porch switch and reprogram it. He did a very professional job, but I strongly disagree with the company policy to charge us for 30 minutes of looking for a new outlet he should have brought with him in the first place. When I called the company to complain, they told me that was company policy and they were not going to change. We ended up being charged $22 for materials and $210 for labor.

Our problem appeared to be a breaker box issue. There was some initial confusion over the level of service we required. Once that was straightened out, a technician arrived within a few hours. Wayne was very professional and courteous. He diagnosed the problem quickly and restored power to our entire house, including some outlets that had been dead for several months.

There was a long delay in getting the estimate and I had to call multiple times. Once the work was scheduled however, the work went perfectly. The electricians were very nice, helpful, prompt and courteous. They gave me useful advice and followed up. Their service was stellar and their work passed inspections without a hitch. Mike and Mark both provided expert and exceptional service. I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.
