The company owner, Jason Johnson, came to my house and gave me a detailed estimate. He was very thorough, professional, and knowledgeable. He also provided great advice on which energy-related home improvements would and would-not be advisable, based on my desire to move to a smaller home when I retire in several years. Jason also took the time to show me how to turn off my water, in case of an earthquake... an especially nice thing for him to do, especially since it was not related to the furnace/air conditioner installation estimate. He arrived exactly when he said he would, and provided a detailed breakdown of the costs and related rebates. I truly had a sense that Jason desired a win-win situation, and that I knew I would be happy with the work provided by his company. The only reason I selected another company (Specialty Heating & Cooling) was because they were also very nice and provided a slight price advantage, based on free duct cleaning and a Carrier, rather than Payne (made by Carrier) air conditioner unit. This man was so nice that I actually felt kind of bad about not choosing his company!

Very well-same day service. We will use them if they can do the job in our timeline.

Technician (Frank) arrived on time and provided exceptional service. He explained everything he was doing and educated me regarding upkeep for this type of system. Great service, friendly and professional staff at a fair price. I will use this company for my AC/Heating needs.

I called the company to get an estimate. They showed up right on time for their appointment. But the estimator only stayed for about 5 or 10 minutes and then left. It is three weeks later and I have never hear back from the company or gotten a bid by email or phone.

My experience with Service Now was terrible. I was given a time window of 1-3pm on Friday to expect a technician, then received a call at 2:45pm telling me the tech was running late and it would be 3-5pm. Around 4pm the tech arrived and was rude from the moment he entered my home. He was not professional or courteous, he kept changing his mind about what the problem might be, he was unwilling to perform any repairs and insisted we make another appointment for Monday (until we convinced him we needed the work done now, then he threatened to charge us overtime and complained the whole time that we wanted the problem fixed), he tracked water and dirt all over the house and did not clean up after himself, he did not secure the door to the furnace when he was finished, he had no parts to complete a repair so we had to run to a supply store to get a part, and his work was rushed and sloppy.

Service Now was recommended by Northwest Natural Gas and Jeff came to the house at my invitation to explain the advantages and disadvantages of replacing our furnace. He also said he could install gas logs in my fireplace which I had been wanting. Service Now installed the new furnace and the thermostat with no problem and on time. The log set was another story; the set turned out to be very different from the photograph of the logs that he had shown me and we had to wait a few weeks before the logs were installed. After we realized that we did not want the logs as they looked cheap and not attractive, we asked for our money back. They "didn't want us to be unhappy" and returned the money very soon afterwards. I subsequently bought logs from a fireplace shop and they were much better.

Looked them up on Angies list, contaced them by phone, they came out the next day and provided an estimate, completed the work within ten days or less. We are completely satisfied.

They gave us thier best estimate and it was $4000 cheaper than the next competitor. Jason the owner was responsive to questions and action requests. When the work started there was a question about the removal of the gas line and Jason came in an made sure it happened. The owner's employees were proffessional and proficient. They made sure we were happy with the job before they left. They were great to work with and I would go to them again. They definitely stand out among their peers

They did a good job of piping for gas, working with Northwest Natural to bring gas to the house, figuring out how to install for venting etc. I liked their approach on placement of tankless heater and work to do better than the other contractor who estimated. I liked that they handled the plumbing contracting with a plumber they deal with all the time. The other contractor wanted me to contract plumbing for the water heater separately. There was some confusion on scheduling inspections and working with Lake Oswego inspectors. Lake Oswego will schedule specific appointment times and coordinate among the three inspectors who have to inspect a job like this (plumbing, electrical, mechanical).

From the first 'sales' call to the finish of the installation, everyone involved was highly professional. When the date for old furnace removal and new furnace installation arrived, the technicians arrived exactly when the job was scheduled to commence. They worked without a break and when they left the house, the area was cleaner than when they arrived.

Service Now representative arrived on time and went right to work. Started the service on the existing and old gas furnace and then asked me to come down stairs so he could explain a few issues. Showed me condensation problem which was causing kerosion. Which would ultimately require replacement of major parts. Kerosion was quite evident to me, a layman in this area. Technician explained my options and outlined rebates currently being offered for high efficiency furnace installations from both state and feds. So I opted for the new furnance. Technician also game me a great price for running duct work up to my 2nd floor, and to run a gas line to my kitchen for a new gas stove, and a gas line to my outside patio for a new BBQ. I approved the estimate on a Friday. Work was scheduled for Monday and completed on Tuesday. Furnace is a high efficiency (95%) system. Works beautifully and "quietly"! Gas line to the kitchen is waiting for my new gas kitchen stove. Gas line to the patio had the wrong connector for my new BBQ which was delivered after Service Now had installed the gas line. So I called them and asked if they could come and swap out the correct fitting for my BBQ. They came the same afternoon and didn't charge me anything extra. WOW am I happy!!!! They were clean, efficient and quick! I can highly recommend them. BTW...they gave me an Angie's List discount, and a further discount from their DEX pages advertising. Value was great! And they even prepared all of the necessary paperwork for the state and federal rebates.

The work was quickly diagnosed and the fix was done in about an hour. no problems.

I called to get a quote on a yearly tune-up for my Carrier heat pump and furnace, which are just over one year old. The service department told me I could wait another year since it was so new. No other company I called told me that. That was a surprise. In addtion they quoted me a price that was 50% less than the other companies on the list that I called, including the one that installed this unit for me. One year from now I will call then to schedule a service call.

Last week, I had in some guys from another company to check my home efficiency. While they were at it, they said I needed to service my furnace ? and in particular, that there was a tiny gas leak in the flex pipe leading into the furnace. So after calling the first people who came to mind and learning they didn't handle such things, I checked Angie's List. Service Now had a perfect record, and offers a ten percent discount, so I figured I couldn't go wrong. When I called, they said they'd be out in a few hours, and that they would call fifteen minutes before arriving. They asked how I'd heard of them, I named the List, and they offered to take 10% off my price ? I didn't even have to ask for it. Knowing that I'd get the heads-up call, I felt free to dive into a few projects that might take me that long to wrap up. Oops! The call never came, but the technician did ??for which reason I gave lower marks on punctuality, despite the entire appointment falling within the two-hour block during which they said they'd be here. The tech serviced the furnace ??I have no basis for judging his performance in that regard ??and then told me about what he'd found. All checked out okay, except that he couldn't find a leak, it was just a little tiny bit of gas sneaking out the combustion air intake pipe... and, he exclaimed, no-one had turned off the gas! "Well, no," I said, "the previous contractor had told me it was so small ?" and he interrupted, telling me that it was an explosion hazard, and you have to turn off the gas if you find a leak. I never got to tell him what I'd been told, for which reason I gave marks off on professionalism. I was otherwise entirely satisfied with the service. The job was completed exactly at the end of the two-hour window I'd been quoted. The company had offered to include the repair of the leak in the cost of the service, charging only for parts. The price of the work was entirely reasonable, and I got a discount. As far as I can tell, the quality of the work was good (though really, I hadn't noticed anything wrong with the furnace, so it's hard to know).

They performed their work in a timely manner. They were reasonable and it went well.

We had some strange issue where the condensate pump was making lots of noise but the heater would not come on and it was really cold. Turns out the exterior line was frozen so the pump couldn't clear the water. The service person who came to our house gave us advice as to how to avoid the problem in the future. He could have done the work and gotten the money but he told us what to do and charged us minimally instead. Very helpful and we learned a lot.

Came out to help us locate our furnace filter. When replacing it wasn't the issue that was causing our furnace to kick off right after kicking on, he suggested a tune up. He said he would only charge me for the tune up and not the initial cost of coming to locate my filter. He did the tune up and the problem with the furnace has been resolved. Still works great a couple weeks later. He was also very informative about our furnace.

It went great. They were very punctual and helpful during the estimate process. They were easy to work with regarding billing even though we had a complicated situation--we were in the inspection process on a new house we had made an offer on, and had come to agreement with the seller that the furnace needed to be replaced. The payment had to be made through escrow since the transaction hadn't closed, and the paperwork was complicated because we needed to have the sale done in our names so that we would qualify for rebates and incentives. They handled all of that seamlessly and filled out *ALL* of the paperwork to qualify us for probably about $500 in incentives, credits and rebates without us having to lift a finger. The house didn't have a gas hookup, so they had to work with the gas company to organize all of that; again, we didn't have to lift a finger. And, most importantly, the furnace is quiet as a mouse and performs fantastically. My one minor complaint is that the electrical subcontractor that they hired to wire the furnace could have been better. He wasn't horrible--I'd give him a B-minus, and the wiring work that he did is perfectly functional--but I wasn't elated with him. This was definitely not something serious enough to give me pause in hiring Service Now again in the future, though.

Furnace was nonoperational Friday night. Had option to have technician come out Friday night for about $140 or so-opted to have them come out Saturday instead for service fee of $85(not including parts/labor). Technician gave me an estimated arrival time the night before and arrived within an hour of that time. Fixed furnace no problem. Good service provided, including answering some random questions about furnaces in general and explaining how to install thermostats, even though I declined having him install a new thermostat for me.

Everything went well-quick appointment, punctual arrival, seemed quite knowledgeable and was friendly.

Paul came to our door, noticed right away that we don't wear shoes in our house and removed his. I told Paul that we had two heaters for him to look at. He was a little surprised since his company had not informed him of the two heaters, which I know I specifically mentioned to them when I called. So this is the only reason I gave Service Now a B on professionalism. It had NOTHING to do with Paul. Paul looked at the lower level heater and noted that the mother board was fried. He said he would have to order the part and come back and install the new board. He recommended that until then, we turn the fan to on and the system to heat. That way we would still have heat. We really appreciated that small, but important additional detail. He then looked at our upstairs heater and noted that it sounded a little off. He worked on it for quite some time and determined that the blower wheel was slightly off balance, but not critically so. Paul said that in his estimation, there was no particular danger. There was no metal-on-metal contact. He said we could replace the blower wheel if we wanted to, but that we didn't have to. We appreciated his stating the facts as he saw them. We decided to leave it alone, and monitor it. When Paul came back to install the new mother board in the lower heater, he made a point of showing me the fried mother board so that I could see it for myself. Another small, but important detail that made me appreciate Paul's approach to his job. Paul also mentioned getting a whole house surge protector to help avoid the potential for additional power outage related problems with the mother boards in our heaters. That was a great additional tip and we are going to install one asap. Thanks Paul!

My furnace was 15 yrs old and died about a week before I called this company. The initial representative who came to my house and gave me the estimate was professional. For the installation, they showed up on time on a very snowy day with terrible road conditions. It took them about 3 hours to remove the old furnace and install the new one. They cleaned their work area. The installers were courteous and professional.

They gave me a price, and I compared them with several others, and I figured they would do the best job in the appropriate time. Their price was favorable. They cleaned up well after themselves. They offered a 7 year warranty for labor and parts.

They were great! They were on time and professional. I would hire them again.
