Person was prompt, talked a lot, but did answer my questions. However, talked negatively about some other local furnace companies (although I don't know their reputations either).

The furnace was installed (03/2012) by two men that immediately gave me concern which was well founded as the furnace had deep scratches on the top. This concerned me as the electronic control board is sensitive to damage. How did these occur, was this a "scratch and dent" model, was it damaged in handling or transport. Somehow this unit was handled in a manner that produced these scratches. These questions Jason (owner) could not answer but assured me the unit had the same warranty. To further my concern, the installers had built an air filter door leaving sharp sheet metal edges exposed. These were later taped as I explained what a safety hazard this was. A sheet metal screw was put directly through the furnace wall and left until I mentioned this. The gas supply line was torqued in such a manner that it immediately caught your attention as something was wrong. A banding strap in back of the furnace had not been removed and was handing down. Could this be removed? No problem, the installer took a pair of pliers and beat it back behind the furnace! The installers came back three times to repair various items. I finally gave up. At the conclusion I called the Carrier District Manager, Bill Medack who cannot be identified by Carrier Corporate to this day (1-800-227-7437). I told him I wanted the unit removed but agreed to a $300 discount which I regret to this day. Jason the owner initially offered a reduced amount as well with a free tune up but my concerns remained. How rough was this furnace handled to receive these scratches? I paid for a new furnace and wanted a new furnace. This seems logical. I so wish I would have had the furnace removed but I knew this would be a financial hardship on Service Now and thought it would be okay. The final straw was when the $300 "settlement check" was thrown on my front porch not in an envelope, exposed to whomever came along. This was deplorable. How Service Now received such high reviews is beyond me.

This has been my company of choice for a few years now. The office person is always friendly, remembers me, and is helpful. The technicians are very knowledgeable and thorough, as well as friendly, respectful, and willing to answer all questions. The reason I called was because I thought I smelled just a whiff of gas odor in the garage (which turned out to be normal to the function of my furnace). The appointment was made for the same day and Jerry arrived within the scheduled work window. He answered my concerns and suggested that while he was there, he perform a full maintenance and cleaning, which sounded good since it hadn't been worked on for over a year. He was very thorough and I was glad I called--the filters were really dirty! Jerry has worked on both my furnace and air conditioning unit in the past and it's great to see the same technician over again. It gives me the feeling that he really knows my equipment and takes personal care.

Inspector who came was on time, professional, and informative.

Technician was on time and very experienced. Showed me why the furnace was not working well and fixed. Also fixed leaking flu pipe at no additional charge. This was beyond the paid for maintenance. Furnace running much better since the service.

Technician arrived late, but preceded by a call from company office announcing that he was now on his way from another job. The furnace innards were carefully disassembled, cleaned, then reassembled. A detailed report was provided on the condition of the furnace. While it was described as fully functional, I was also reminded that the furnace was now 25 years old. There was no attempt to sell me a new furnace, but that information prompted thoughts of future replacement. In the late summer of 2012, I contacted the company and requested bids on replacement.

The technician appeared to be very experienced and professional. He did not perform work that I did not need and clearly explained service he recommended. My impression is that he is very honest.

My old furnace was about 30 years old. It was time. I got what I needed and they did it well. A year later, I'm still very happy with the service and the product.

The appointment was scheduled promptly after the big deal purchase. The service man was polite and professional. Our AC unit was a little hard to access, but he was very nice about the inconvenience and performed the job quickly and cheerfully. Afterward he thoroughly explained his work and observations. He answered our questions about future maintenance and how to protect the unit in the winter.

Very professional and responsive from start to finish. They sent a person out to do an assessment of our house and existing furnace and air conditioner. Then they worked up a quote for a couple options and reviewed each one with me. Once I decided to go with a heat pump, they scheduled the install for just a couple days out, which was great. The installer person was also very thorough and knowledgable and completed the install without rushing.

The technician was on time, thorough, and completely professional. He showed me everything he did and answered questions. He resolved the problem of water leaking in the furnace. He even gave me an easy free solution to the problem of the condensation tube freezing and water pooling on the carpet. It was a completely positive experience. I would definitely recommend this company.

Service performed as expected. Following service furnace started shutting down periodically. A different person came out and identified a couple causes. One being that only three of the six floor vents were open in the house. He explained that closing off vents in attempt to only heat certain portions of your home causes the furnace to work harder and increases the pressure in the ducts (cause the heat has fewer exit points) resulting in overheating of the furnace which ultimately shuts it down as a safety feature. Contrary to belief, closing vents does not save money. Not exactly how he said it, but that was the point I got. Keeping all vents open improves the circulation of airflow and the effectiveness of the furnace. The other item he identified, although I can't recal what it was, had something to do with an item in the furnace that not many techs think to check according to him. He cleaned/repaired whatever it was and there have been no issues since.

The representative was prompt and thorough. He explained things to me in a way that I could easily understand. When the job was done everything was cleaned up. I would highly recommend them.

The technician was prompt and thorough. Arrived on time and was careful in the house. We plan to use these folks again.

Overall experience was good. A little challenging because of initial furnace location. They were exceptionally helpful with acquiring the energy rebates etc. They could have cleaned up a little better, but again because of location of furnace and venting requirements they covered a large area to work.

My furnace stopped working on Sunday evening Dec 2rd. Service Now Inc sent a repairman, Frank, to my home after I called them at 8am Monday Dec 3rd and he arrived within a few hours. Frank looked over my system and went through a step by step analysis of the start up system in my furnace. He quickly determined that the motherboard was bad. He then went to work to determine why it had failed. He used a flexible fiberoptic video camera to look over the heat exchanger and had me look along with him. We quickly found numerous cracks and considerable corrosion. We also discovered it had a welding repair for past cracks. He then bypassed the motherboard and started the furnace running. He put a heat sensor at the motherboard and found that the cracks in the heat exchanger was leaking heat into the control area and this had lead to the Motherboard failure. In addition, he tested for carbon monoxide leakage and found it to be excessive and unsafe. He gave me options for repairing this 22 year old unit or replacing it with 3 different new models with much better efficiency. After discussion with my wife and Frank we decided on the 96.5% efficient Carrier with the single speed fan. An infinite fan unit was also available but we felt we would not make use of this option with our lifestyle and did not warrent the extra cost. Frank called the shop and arranged for installation the next day ( wow were we lucky the had and opening). The installers arrived at 7:15 Tues Dec 4th and Bill dismantled the old furnace and removed it. He started preping the area for the new unit which shortly arrived with the other installer. The both went to work assembling and doing the required sheet metal work to get the new unit in place and wired in. They went out of their way to be sure I made the decisions about where the piping for the exhaust, and outdoor intake were run so they would not be in my way either in my garage or attic storeroom. They also had me make the decision about where to run the condensation removal pump line and where to place the new AC unit. Most installers would not even ask but do it the way that is easiest for them. These guys were very considerate and wanted to be sure I would be happy and choose the option which was best for both my convience and for the function of the HVAC system. During the day both Frank the repairman came by to help and check on my satisfaction, and the company owner did the same. The office personal quickly mailed me the state of Oregon rebate forms, the Northwest Natural rebate, and the Service Now anniversary rebate. In addition, the original service call was credited to my new system cost. I have never worked with any company which was any more focused on customer satisfaction.

Frank, from Service Now, Inc. arrived at the scheduled time and performed the services listed above. This is the fourth or five year I've used Service Now and I have requested Frank each time. He is friendly, thorough and very open to answering questions as well as offering tips for heating the home and saving on gas bills. My furnace has worked flawlessly since I began using Service Now, Inc. for yearly maintenance.
