He is very good. As a matter of fact, he is coming back to do another project for us. This was the end of last summer. I got on Angie's List and contacted David. He had one man come out. He got here at 7:30 and sometimes he was here until 6. He took a short lunch break. He got it done for us. That was a load off. He saved us. He is coming back at the end of this month to do another wall for us. David was a breath of fresh air. I appreciated him so much. He was very professional. He did what he said he would do. He came when he said he would. He is just a really good guy. I was quite shocked with the price of any of it. I think he's right in the ballpark with the rest of them.

Superb. Extremely happy with the results. I initially contacted a total of 6 stone masons to get an estimate on the work that I needed done. David was suggested by one of the mason’s from Angie’s list. I called David and he stopped by on Sunday morning in order to accommodate my schedule. We discussed what I wanted to accomplish. He offered suggestions then we discussed our budget and our choice of stone. He said that he will look into options to see if he can come close. Couple of days later, he asked me to meet him at the stone yard to look at stone types. The stone combination he found looks very close to what we wanted and would be within my budget; in the discussion he took pictures and gave me samples to show my wife and discuss. He suggested that we could pick the darker color stones ourselves which was a plus. We decided to hire him. A second visit to the stone yard where we picked the darker colored stones resulted in a multi tone combination stone that we were hoping for (and final results is better than the catalog pictures of our original stone choice). The work started on time. David is very punctual, and very clean. What I was amazed at is that when he started, he took the time to show us detailed options on many aspects of the wall and the hearthstone. That took considerable amount of time. His attention to details is outstanding. As a result, the initial layout changed a bit that resulted in David cutting each individual stone and chipping the edges by hand. Now the stones are new but they have the charming rustic country look that is very hard to achieve with new stones. My father (retired long ago) was a stone mason and he was surprised that someone still pays attention to such details nowadays. Well, the fireplace is done and my woodstove insert is installed, even the stove installer was impressed by what David had done. The result is a work of art that exceeded our expectation and got us tons of compliments from our neighbors. Even the price we paid is extremely fair given the work that was done. Initially, I though the cost is still on the expensive side (but it fit our budget), but after doing some research on David’s work, we decided to hire him anyway. It was worth every penny and the fireplace looks like we paid many times more than it actually cost us J I plan to hire him again to reface the front of the house in the future.
