Horrible customer services. Rude technician and office staff. Came through AHS to replace a faucet. Warranty covers faucet replacement if not able to fix it. The current faucet is brushed nickel DELTA faucet. When they could not fix it, and their replacement faucet was an incorrect size, they said they will order a DELTA replacement faucet. When the technician showed up to install, he brought a chrome $40 faucet to replace a $300 DELTA faucet. When I complained they are calling it an upgrade in violation of the warranty terms. Also have not submitted their report to AHS even though it has been a week so I am stuck waiting for them to complete the report out before I can get anything done. Unprofessional and slow to get things done. Very disappointed.

Stay away. This company installed a water heater, left a gas leak. Denied at first and said they'd send someone two days later, then when my wife proved through soapy water it was a leak they changed to next day. Did not advise her to shut off pilot light, did not tell her where or how to turn off the gas to the heater. Just left it "sorry nobody here to help, nothing I can do until tomorrow." Advise to stay away from this company, and get your insurance to choose someone else.

Avoid this company! Oh my gosh, I'm stuck in a nightmare situation with them. They have terrible customer service and their techs are disrespectful and make the service issue worse so they can get money from you for things not covered by warrantee. I wonder how much they've stolen from consumers. I call all the time and request the supervisor Haley to return my call, it's been 3 weeks and she still hasn't. I am a senior going through cancer treatments and dealing with this is terrible stressful for me. I had a leaky outdoor faucet and it needed to be replaced. It worked find April and May. The tech came out in July, called ahead for pre-approval from American Home Shield and then busted a hole in my bedroom wall and replaced the bib with an incorrect size pipe. He told me the bib plunger was the fault and he'd order the correct size bib pipe and come back to finish the job. THEN, he submits the details to AHS and tells them it was due to a pipe freeze. (In JULY???) and AHS denied the claim. Now Sundance wants me to pay them $375 to come finish the job. I will continue to seek a fair resolution and will update this review. Next I will file a compliant with the BBB.

Technician was wonderful, company was very 'sneaky'. They are primarily dispatched for Home Warranty companies, but please review the multiple complaints with BBB, which are consistent with this company charging non-covered charges, that were not performed. You can request a different contractor through your HW company. They charged $835 for code/permit. After checking with local code enforcement/permit fees, I was charged over $700 for their own profit. When I asked for breakdown, they said, "we can't, it's a set price" and you will see that consistent throghout the BBB complaints. I hope the technician finds a reputable company to work forl

***UPDATE!! **DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!*** ****EVEN if through a warranty Co!!**** So basically after almost 3 months, literally DOZENS of calls back and forth (that is IF you could even get a live person and/or there voice mail box wasn't full!) They finally showed up today with the heat pump (MIKE the installer is a VERY nice man and I do not blame him at all other than for his choice of employers), they were supposed to call Mr Friday go verify no matter what the the part did or didn't show up and if they would still make today's appnt, they did not call... fast forward to today and Mike shows up, they made him demand the balance of a uncovered labor up front (after many calls back and forth before this and them blaming everything on my warranty Co they said they could not give me costs of charges and I had to call my warranty which I DID and they gave me a full breakdown of what was being charged and not, come to find out the extra almost $800 they tried to make me pay was for a "line set modification" that wasn't even needing to be done! Also found out that EVERY other charge they sent to the warranty company had such highly inflated pricing by a average of X5 AND included other "work"/upgrades that they actually wouldnt be/need to do(!!) was what maxed out my warranty and aloud them to charge me the "uncovered portion"... guess they didn't expect my warranty to actually give me the breakdowns of it all!), anyway so I questioned it and asked WHY I had to pay it up front if we didn't even know yet if it needed "modified" (again, really we already verified it WOULDN'T by a 2nd AND 3rd party local HVAC companies!!) And when she rudly kept arguing with me and cutting me off/talking over me while I was just trying to give her the clarification info SHE told me to get from the warranty company in 1st place(!!) I did finally have enough and yelled over her (NO cussing or name calling or anything like that!) Just to get her to stop so I could talk, she of course used it as a excuse and I apologized sincerely and just asked her to PLEASE give me the same respect as she's asking from me and she just got even ruder, told me that even though she wasted her installers time by having him drive all the way down here she was not going to let him install it, refused service and made him leave and (only time EVER in almost 3 months she actually made a call right away) called my warranty and made them transfer it to a different hvac co.... ALL because i actually made the effort to call them out on there FRAUDULENT and unethical EXTREME inflation of the charges and all I was asking it for them to talk out the breakdown of the charges and work and if then it really was all necessary and legit I'd pay no problem (AGAIN I've been trying to get all this worked out for literally months so it's not like they didn't know!)... unless you like to waste your time and money (reminder, the #1 reason this took almost 3 months was because THEY "lost" my paperwork for a month, then promised to make up for it and make me a priority which actually took another month!! Aka, they did ZERO to actually try and get it handled as they should of which also was the cause for me to have to give in and spend almost $1k on portable A/C's just to be able to get my house inside under a 100+ deg in the evening for last few weeks...) I'd NEVER use this company, half because of there time-line and other because of there MISRABLE customer service and bad work ethic... (YES I'm also filing a BBB complaint against them along with posting this everywhere I can within my legal right) It took them almost a month before they could even come diagnose the issue (which it's the season for that so that's not to major of a deal). BUT now for the last 3+ weeks all I get is the run around about why the new heat-pump isn't getting replaced yet, keep being told the supervisor is stepping in and handling it and I'll get a call or email etc etc but never do i...so in total I've been without our a/C or heat for almost 2 months and basically being told by the warranty company that the paperwork they should of sent in on day ONE still hasn't even been sent in!!! I've left multiple messages but most days there voice mail is FULL so it just hangs up on you .... Sundance keeps blaming it on the tech who came out (which HE was great actually) and/or warranty company, the warranty company blames Sundance.... I just want my stuff fixed or at least COMMUNICATION!!!

We waited all day only to get a call that they would be there in 5 to 10 minutes. So unprofessional! Two guys came out, spent ten minutes looking at it only to tell us there was nothing wrong with the water heater and the dampness was due to "condensation" offering no solution whatsoever. Although we were told in advance that there would be a $75 service fee, we did not think that they would have the nerve to charge us for doing absolutely nothing other than driving to our house. We are not convinced that they could ever justify soaking consumers in this way. Reputable "service" companies would not display such desperation and would have waived the fee. Obviously they need the money more than us - buyer beware.
Description of Work: This is the worst company I have dealt with in a long time. We were forced to use them through our home warranty company for what we thought was a problem with our 21 year old water heater after noticing dampness underneath it. They could not schedule an appointment any sooner than a week and a half later. Nobody called to confirm they were coming despite having left an unreturned message asking if they were coming.

I purchased my house last summer and it came with a one year home warranty. Although I had another Heating Service provider do a furnace check up in December and he said the furnace was in good working order, in late March my furnace would not start and stay running. Since I had the Home Warranty, I called those people rather than calling back the previous heating service provider from December. The home warranty company directed me to the Heating and A/C company - NW Sundance Services. The provider set the appointment within a couple of days and arrived on time. He discovered that the vacuum port and flame sensor on the furnace were dirty, so he cleaned them and then the furnace started and stayed running. He noticed that the thermostat wasn't working quite right and I explained that the furnace often seemed to run a long time, even though the temp was reached. He said he thought the thermostat was faulty as well and replaced that. Since the work was covered by the home warranty, I only paid the deductible. I was pleased with the work.

NW Sundance Services was assigned to me by American Home Services. The reason the repair only cost $75 is AHS covered everything else. Grant diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. Craig installed them. Both plumbers were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. If I have other non-warranty plumbing needs I would not hesitate to call them.

Sundance still received a work order for the work, and called to schedule the work. I called back and by the time I got through to someone I told them they didn't get the job. They said I had to call the insurance company to cancel it, but I told them I refused to work with them. They were awful on the phone and their customer service was poor.
Description of Work: Had a really frustrating conversation. I had a problem with an appliance. I called American Home Shield and wanted a local plumber sent out, and they came up with Northwest Sundance Services. After reading the reviews, I told AHS I did not want to do work with this company. They ended up dispatching a different plumber.

I would rate them pretty highly. It was under home warranty and I essentially had a copay and I think the cost was in the neighborhood of $70 or $75. They have been assigned for previously for other issues associated with the furnace. It was a pretty good deal having somebody send hours on your furnace for $75 is pretty good deal. They are responsive like they called within 24 hours of my reporting issue. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Northwest Sundance Services Big Deal purchase in April for HVAC. I was having heating limit switch kind of overheating and kicking off and he replaced a fan and he replaced sensor and switch and some other things and he actually spent quite a bit of time on it. It was a repair not maintenance.

THEY'RE ON OUR AHS DO NOT USE LIST. Unfortunately I'd already written this review in full and Angies list didn't save it. So now it'll be the watered down version, maybe that's more useful. -They work for the AHS insurance and they are terrible, everything you don't want: -Did not show up on time. -Huge wait windows 4hrs, then late. -Didn't show up at all one day - called past the window - I'd already waited. -Sent someone without sufficient knowledgeable leading to multiple call outs - wasting our time, having to take time off work, leaving us without appliances. -Took six hours to complete a simple job. We'd been told it would take about two. Aimlessly going back and forth to the van - just bring out the tool box? - talking on the phone, etc. -Charged 250 to remove/replace dishwasher, which insurance does not cover - PLEASE WATCH A YOUTUBE VIDEO FIRST - afterwards this took us 15min to do ourselves, no special tools, no knowledge. We had to do this, as they left without reconnecting the garbage disposal (wire located behind dishwasher) which they disconnected. They refused to fix their mistake. Manager didn't call back. We had to call out someone else to correct it. From start to end because of Northwest Sundance Services (combined with having to do everything via insurance) it took three weeks before my dishwasher and garbage disposal were back in working order. From this experience I learnt about American Home Shields 'do not use list' you can tell them to add servicers to it. I also learnt, you can call their servicer to diagnose the problem, but not do the repair, the servicer calls in the diagnosis to check what is covered, then you choose either go ahead with the repair with them, or decide later. If you want to choose, ask AHS to send the amount they're willing to cover towards the recommended repair and use someone you choose - totally worth the extra step if its a bigger job, that you feel not just anybody can do. To accept some responsibility for our unsatisfactory experience, AHS sent us some prepaid cards to pay for a couple of future co-pays, and added NW Sundance Services to our do not use list. Hopefully the other servicers they use will be better, and if we hear they are not, we can use our insurance money and choose for ourselves.
Description of Work: Wasted my time. Fixed one thing, but created a problem and left us to resolve it ourselves.

They were terrible. They attempted to try to fix our air conditioner for over a year and failed to do so. They had no technical ability to actually fix anything and/or resolved our issues. They kept saying that the system is over or undercharged, that there's a leak or there's no problem. Eventually, the unit had to be replaced. They came out, gave us some run around and they didn't fix or diagnose anything. We ended up without air conditioning for a very long time. They were sent out on a service call for a hot water heater and he told me that the unit needed to be flushed. That's the best they could do. We still probably had rusty water for a couple of weeks which I thought was unacceptable. I called Homeshield and they sent out a different company and they just replaced the hot water heater and we didn't have a problem. So they failed in both the hot water heater and the air conditioner
Description of Work: Northwest Sundance Services attempted to fix an air conditioner for me. It was through American Homeshield and so I paid a service fee of $60. They also serviced my hot water heater before.

We called our home warranty company who submitted a work order to NW Sundance Services. A guy named Randy came out and did a really good job. He was very professional and courteous. He pointed out some other plumbing flaws with our drain pipes in the basement and he gave us a decent quote to replace the drain pipes. I actually had the warranty work done awhile ago. I can't remember the exact date, but I think the work was done in November or December 2012. What I do remember is I was very satisfied with the service. Well, it's about time to upgrade our waterlines from galvanized to most likely Pex, and replace the drain pipes downstairs. Since this is a big job, I went to Angie's list and I was surprised this company didn't have any reviews. Nonetheless, I've made an appointment a few weeks from now for a quote to replace the drain pipes and waterlines.
Description of Work: I bought a house in Oct. 2012. We had a leak in our bathtub faucet upstairs that exited in the basement downstairs, and we had some of our water valves wouldn't shut off due to corrosion.

They charged outrageous amounts of money and didn't even fix our problem! Then when we disputed the charges, they turned us over to a collection agency, forcing us to pay. They charged three times to not fix it as it did to actually have it fixed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are working with insurance companies to get their foot in your door and then rip you off, charing high prices for inadequate service.
Description of Work: On 3/31/2013 the main drain at our residence, become completely blocked. I called our home protection insurance company who dispatched NW Sundance Services to fix the problem. After a short while the technician said they had to go get a longer auger. Then after they returned, they ran the auger and then they said the insurance would not pay because the problem was caused by roots. They said it would cost an extra $350 to fix it. I said "well it needs to be fixed", so I approved the work to fix the blockage. A little while later they said that they ran their auger all the way to the street, but the problem must be out into the street and they were unable to clear the blockage. After they were done, the block seemed to be worse than it was when they started. Reluctantly, I paid the bill, $410 with a check, feeling completely ripped off. When I agreed to pay the extra cost, I thought they were actually going to fix the problem, and they did not. The next day we called Action Drain and Rooter Service to fix the problem. They came out, and within only a few hours, had the problem completely resolved, and only charged $125.00 for actually fixing our problem. It became apparent to us then that NW Sundance Service is running a scam, in conjunction with the insurance company. How can they in good conscious charge three times the cost charged by the capable rooter company who actually fixed our problem, to not fix our problem? Action Drain and Rooter Service was able to restore our sewer service for $125 using a jetter, and we were so thankful because we had already gone 2 days with no facilities, thanks to NW Sundance. They also told us that the issue would surface again, if not redone. So a few weeks later we had the pipe dug up which revealed that NW Sundance didn't do what they claimed. They said they rooted to the street with an auger, we have photos of our line that shows the clog was in our driveway and still present, well before the street, so they didn't even do what they said they did. They did not rooter all the way to the street. If they had, this clog would not be in this pipe! Charging 3 times the price without fixing the problem is a total rip off.

I had a leaky water heater FOR WEEKS while I waited for American Home Shield and their appointed plumber, Northwest Sundance Services, to fix it. TWICE they tried to fix it--two different plumbers--and the water heater still leaked. The first plumber turned the Apollo water heater temperature way down because he said it was dangerously hot--he was clearly unfamiliar with Apollo systems--so we had cold showers and no hot water the next day, until I turned the temperature back up. The second one replaced the same part the first plumber replaced because he told me: "That first part may have been defective from the factory. This is the only thing it could be." Still the water heater leaked. Next they put another part on order and I never heard from NW Sundance Services again, nor would they return my phone calls. In frustration, I called M. T. Dunn Plumbing. Mike Dunn came out to my house the next morning, diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes, drove off to get the expansion tank that was needed, was back shortly & installed it in another 10 minutes. Problem solved.

After buying my home I experienced some plumbing issues, cold water in shower, leaking pipes in laundry, tub would not hold water. Called Sundance to have them fix it. They came out when they said they would. Took their shoes off when in the house. Looked at he problems, then fixed them. One outstanding thing that I love is they spent the time to explain what was wrong, how he fixed it, and how I could fix the problems myself. I concider myself a bit handy. He answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. I felt I got a mini lesson in plumbing. Very thankful he did that. Job well done, no problems.
