G's Concrete Inc

The work was good, the workers courteous and professional. G came out personally to look at the site, asked good questions, offered recommendations (i.e. regarding the drain), and explained the what and how of the job clearly. Here's the REALLY good part: a couple weeks after the job was complete, we were setting up the greenhouse, and discovered that there was a very narrow (~1/4") gap beneath one of the walls. I called G and told him we had a problem. Within 2 hours, he came out to personally address the issue, and within another 2 hours, he and his guys worked in additional concrete to make it perfectly level. He did not leave until the work was done, and he did not charge me additional for the work to fix the problem. HIGHLY recommend G, and would absolutely use them again.

This project went very well!! I would hire G's Concrete again in a heartbeat. Excellent work at an amazing price. Gerardo came out to consult with me about my needs and sent me a bid within the week. It took a little longer to schedule the work only because the city decided to repave the road in front of my house the day work was supposed to start. G's Concrete was flexible with that, and was able to do a last minute reschedule for when it worked for both of us. When it came time to do the work, G's team was here first thing in the morning, hard working, congenial, and you could tell they enjoyed working together and making the hard work fun. In addition to taking out the old walkway and some sod and disposing of all of that, the team suggested rerouting my downspouts under the walkway, putting conduits for future electricity under the walkway, and disposing of some gigantic piles of yard debris! So in addition to a beautiful walkway and patio, I now have a clean yard and better rainwater drainage thanks to their expertise and thoughtfulness. And the walkway and patio - beautiful. The team poured everything and exposed the aggregate all in one day, and picked up the forms and cleaned up a bit more about a week later. Their work is so professional. The curves in the walkway look natural and complement the existing structure of my yard. I can't wait to get lounge chairs for the patio and enjoy my new outdoor living space.

The worker arrived promptly, demolished the old pad, poured the new one and did a beautiful job. I have received lots of compliments on their work and am very satisfied. I will definitely use him again when I replace my driveway.

Our existing concrete driveway was severely damaged by the roots of a fir tree necessitating replacement of the driveway. Portions of the walkway leading away from the driveway had settled over the years and needed to be replaced. I selected G's Concrete for my proposed work after reviewing a number of concrete contractors listed on Angie's List and several personal references. I phoned Gerardo Herrera, the owner of G's Concrete, and asked him if he could come look at my damage driveway. We made an appointment and he arrived on time and surveyed what needed to be done and gave me a written cost estimate on the concrete work. I felt that the cost estimate was very reasonable. We agreed on a time schedule that the work could be done. The crew showed up on time and in two days we had a beautiful new driveway and walkway. Mr. Herrera's employees worked extremely hard, were professional, and were very polite. A nice group of young men. I was extremely pleased with my experience with this contractor and would highly recommend him for anyone that needs concrete work done.

I called G's concrete for an estimate on a concrete patio. Gerardo Herrera came out the next day to see what needed to be done.While he was there he gave me several options and idea's.He set-up a time to do the job afew weeks later.His crew came out on time and worked on the excavating,grade and forms, making sure all the way, that this is what I wanted.They were very polite and hard workers.The following day they poured the concrete.It turned out better then I had expected.I was very pleased.They cleaned up any mess that was left and thanked me for the business. They will be my go to people when ever I need concrete work done.

When I first contacted the company, G was very quick at responding to email and phone calls. He came out to do an estimate and later came out to measure for another concrete section part of the same project. After I received the first estimate, I was not getting responses as quickly, and after the second estimate came in, I never heard back at all I had asked about scheduling and had warranty questions, but those questions were left unanswered. I was very disappointed after all the time we had spent communicating about the project that I was left in the dust. Perhaps they got too busy.

We had a sidewalk that a tree root had raised and needed replacing. We ask to be present when the old walk was removed so we could decide what need to be done. G was great with this, in fact told us to just tell his crew what we wanted done and they would do it. They were great, as we were laying out the walk we decided it would look better with some flare at the ends and when we ask them they just did it. Really nice to work with a company that is customer oriented. I was equally impressed with the attention to detail while prepping and pouring the walk. We had an exposed aggregate finish and it turned out great. Cement work can be messy but they did a really good job of cleaning up leaving the yard as close to they way the found it as possible. We are very pleased with the results. I have already recommended to friends that need work done.

This was the second time we had G's Concrete do work at our house so we know G and the work they do a little bit better. Both times were nearly the same experience - G came out to look at the work and gave us a price within a day, the work was done within a week or so, the workers were professional and respectful of the house and property. I've seen some shady cement crews over the years but these guys are top notch. I explained things very well to G and the workers as that's always a good idea to overcommunicate so they know what you want, but I get the sense that they would have done a fine job even if I hadn't told them more than "I want a 4 inch slab in the basement and crawl space". They've done a lot of this flat cement work and it shows. I only take time to write reviews for companies that are really good or really bad and G's Concrete is definitely a great company to work with.

G and his team were fantastic to work with. G gave us a quote back in July and when we decided to move forward in August he gave us a week in October when they would be able to come out and do the job. He was spot on with his timing estimate which was the first pleasant surprise. His team took 1 day for the tear down of the old driveway and preparing it for the pour. We had tons of roots and such under our old driveway and our existing planting (including a whole row of boxwoods) was almost directly touching it. They did a fantastic job of getting all the old stuff out and our plants nor anything else in the circumference of the driveway suffered the least little bit (like the garage floor or sideway). They paid a lot of attention to detail and took great care. All of his employees were very polite, worked hard and seemed to be quite knowledgable. When I had any questions throughout the process they were all able to answer and explain to me. They came back a second day for the pour and again: they worked hard, took great care, very polite and nice and again paid attention to every little detail. They even stayed that day until after 6PM in order to make sure everything is cleaned up nicely (we wanted exposed aggregate). The finished product turned out very well and everything throughout this process exceeded our expectation: G was spot on with his timing, was available for us when we had questions, his team started working early in the morning and stayed until late, they did an fantastic job and again, i am just really impressed how much care they took and nothing in my garden surrounding the driveway nor in the garage was accidentally broken or destroyed throughout the process. If you need a new driveway -G's your guy.

We chose G's Concrete after reading all the positive review's here on Angie's List. We are extremely please with the overall results. The work was done in a timely manner by very pleasant workers. We were modifying the design of the courtyard and they worked with us to get it just right. We highly recommend them. Be aware, they are in high demand because of their excellence, but the wait is well worth it.

On all 3 jobs since 2012 Gerardo provided specific bid and told me when crew would show up. Crew showed up as expected and completed work professionally. On the last job completed this week, there was a small problem--the day after notifying Gerardo of the problem, a crew was at site to fix and refinish to my satisfaction. Previously I've dealt with other concrete contractors and G's is the best I've worked with. He was also brought in by a general I was using to consult on some problem work done by another contractor. Gerardo identified problems with the work and identified problems that subsequently occurred. He understands concrete and does things right.

He told me he would look at the driveway and give me an estimate to repair. He never responded back and never provided an estimate. Inquired about estimate status and he never responded. We had a timing issue do to a real estate sale, which was stated to him and he never provided an indication that he could not accommodate a quick turn around.

Geraldo did a wonderful job and he exceeded our expectations! Geraldo was a very delightful person to work with he was very considerate and listened to what it was we wanted and did exactly that. In areas we weren't sure about he helped to guide us in ways that were very practical and reasonable and always keep in mind what our budget was and did not go over the bid. He is a very fair minded and honest man. His total cost was actually lower than the original quote which was a pleasant surprised for us. The work he did was excellent, we have nothing but praise for this man and his crew. You will not be disappointed with G's Concrete for your patio and other concrete projects. I talked to the owner on 7/30. He told me he would be out to the house mid-day on 7/31 and call before he came. My wife stayed home that day so someone would be there to discuss the job. This is 8/3 and we have not had any contact.

It went very well. Crew came and finished the job in two days. Gerardo was very good to work with. He came, we explained the job. It was little tight space due to flower beds and walkway between. He gave the estimate and perform the job as agreed and on the budget.

Made a house-call to review work and provide a bid for service, but then disappeared - with no response. Totally fine if he didn't want the job, but he did not have the professionalism to let me know.

"G" was Simply Outstanding ! From the first contact, design, bid process, demolition & framing, concrete details, to the final clean up, his company was there every step of the way and the answer was always, "Yes, No problem we can do that". Once the framing was completed to our specifications, we noticed that the entry stairs and walkway did not look and feel like we thought it would. Made a call to "G" and told him how we felt. He said, "No problem it's only 2x4's and better to make a change now, before pouring concrete." His team was back the next morning, made the changes, no issues, very efficient. After communicating for a week, I had set a day for Gerardo to stop by. He said that he would call after lunch but never called or sent any emails as to why he never showed up. I took off from work to meet with him.

Once they were able to start they knocked out the job in three to four days. They did a real good job looks fantastic.

G's work crews did a great job and were pleasant to work with. He and his crew were prompt and efficient, cleaned up the site before and after and responded quickly to calls. The cement pouring and smoothing meticulous and they sealed it afterward per my request. This neighborhood was built up in the mid-50's and much of the original cement work needs replacing. I was happy to recommend this company to neighbors without reservation!

It wasn't very professional of him to promise to send a bid but not deliver.
