Similar to previous reviews, he came by and gave a quote. Never heard back from him despite email and texts. Stay away, don't waste your time.

Excellent work - experience craftsmen - will hire again

G’s did a great job! I first used G approx 13 years ago and chose them again for a similar but larger project involving concrete demo, excavation, grading and placement of vapor barrier, compacted subgrade gravel fill under the slabs, pouring, finishing and application of curing/sealing compound to the slabs. All of the work was superior. His crews are cooperative, organized, hardworking, detail oriented and keep at it until the job is completed. I am a retired heavy construction contractor, and I know good crews and good concrete work.

G's Concrete was professional and completed the work quickly. Other contractors in the neighborhood were impressed by G's workmanship and it was easy to get city approval for the completed concrete work.

G the owner bid the job and employees did the work. G came out several times and did assist us greatly picking out the colors. It took awhile due to our rainy weather but they did the work quickly and did a very good job. It is beautiful. I highly recommend G and his crew for this type of project. The price was very competitive and they are true professionals. If you want a stamped, colored concrete patio choose G.

G was very prompt in responding to my request for quote. We walked the projects and exchanged good ideas. He told me he would have a quote for me in 3 or so days. It is now 20 days from his visit and I have left multiple messages through Angie's List with no response. Given his ratings, I had expected better service.

No response called left multiple messages and never heard a word.

I never received any responses to my two emails.

G's Concrete removed our decaying driveway, porch and walkway and created a well engineered and constructed thing of beauty. We are delighted with the results of the hard work and skills of Gerardo Herrera's crew. Two members of his family team had been with G's Concrete more than 20 years. Their experience was demonstrated in the finished product which just makes us smile and smile. The job was completed in smoothly and in a timely fashion and the clean-up thoroughly done. We loved the way Gerardo treated his employees with respect and appreciation. We will happily hire this company again if additional concrete work is needed.

G is a legend. He's among the best craftsmen in the city. I had the pleasure or working with him on a large project to reshape the front entry to my home. Despite a shifting scope, G was fair every step of the way. His team went above and beyond my expectations. Driveway and significant hardscape. He's a busy guy because he is one of the best!

Took 3 days to get a call back. Made arrangements to meet early in the morning, took the morning off from work, which cost me half a days wages! NO SHOW! NO CALL! AND STILL NO CALL TO THIS DAY! TOTALLY UNRELIABLE!

I gave an A for punctuality and professionalism. we met for little over an hour , I had many questions and requested explanations to be sure I covered all aspect of the process/steps for this project on Sept.10 2018 @10 am. Per G Herrera's request i sent my email address to his email address on his business card for which I expected to receive his bid at 11:58 am on Sept 10,2018. On Sept 18,2018 I sent him a text requesting to know when I can expect an estimate as it had been 10 days. I again gave him my email address. I neither received a response from this text nor any email with an estimate. To date i have not received any response and there is nothing in spam or junk mail. On that basis i am giving G's concrete a D

The job went extraordinarily well. Most of the work was done while we were on vacation, so the disruption was minimal. The finished job is sturdy, flawless, beautiful - the talk of the neighborhood. Also got a 10% discount because of Angie's List.

Gerardo was very responsive and punctual. After I described my project to him, he had some good suggestions to make. I would have had him do the work but the cost was a bit more than I could afford.

G completed a ~400 sq ft patio under our second level deck and did a fabulous job. He was a great communicator, arrived on time both when giving us the bid as well as for the work and was extremely efficient. Cost was reasonable and the work was exceptional. His crew was courteous and very hard working. I highly recommend this company.

After obtaining estimates and advice from 4 driveway contractors, we felt confident that Gerardo would be the best choice. He listened carefully to our wishes, and he offered many useful suggestions that we incorporated into the final plan. He also took us to a nearby neighborhood to see three driveways completed 1, 3 and 5 years previously. The fact that those homeowners chose to use him based on their neighbors’ experiences over time was a strong endorsement, and subsequent conversation with one of the homeowners reinforced our positive impression. While not the lowest bid, it seemed reasonable from the start and we felt even better about it after watching his crew perform the work. We were impressed by how hard they worked to complete the many steps involved—removing the old concrete, designing and shaping forms for the expanded drive and walkways, improving the grade of the drive to better match the slope of our hill, laying drainage pipes underneath the driveway, preparing the underlying surface, laying the rebar, working quickly and carefully to spread 800 sq ft of concrete as it poured out of the truck, accurately cutting the expansion joints, washing down the exposed aggregate, returning later to rewash the surface before applying the final sealant, etc. Many members of his crew were involved in the different stages of the process. They all worked well together and completed the tasks efficiently. Gerardo and his crew checked with us frequently to be sure the walkway curves and expansion joints were placed where we wanted them, and they answered any of our questions that arose along the way. After our initial deposit, Gerardo would not accept an interim payment when the work was 90% complete. He said he did not want anything more until after the final steps were done and we were completely satisfied with the job. We are pleased to say that we are satisfied, and we would highly recommend G’s Concrete to anyone needing the services of this company.

Contacted through you and follow up will a phone message one month later. Still no bid.

After calling around, G was the only contractor that actually came to our home to check out the project. Once we decided to move forward, his crew came out the next day to begin the project. A week later, they came back out to pour and it was done in a day. Quick, professional and it looks amazing.

I have an exposed aggregate driveway that's 19 years only. This is the type of driveway where cemented pebble rocks are on the surface. Over the years, the pebbles ejected in several areas of the driveway making the driveway look ugly. Other than that, the driveway is in good condition. I called G for a quote on replacing the driveway. When he arrived, he recognized the driveway didn't need replacement. Instead, he instructed me on how to pretty it up by pressure washing with a surface cleaning attachment and applying a sealer. He showed me the sealer to apply and where to buy it. He told me how to apply it and the optimal whether conditions to do it. I like it that he didn't try and sell me a new driveway; what he did demonstrates honesty, integrity and good character. When the driveway does need replacing, I'll know right where to go.

It was simple and quick to arrange an on-site quote with Gerardo, but it did take a few months to get the work done due to his very busy summer schedule. But once a slot opened up G and his team quickly got the work done in a professional manner. The work they did was excellent and the outcome exceeded my expectations. I would totally recommend G's Concrete.

Perfect! G's executed my vision flawlessly! G is very professional and kind. They did all the proper prep work to ensure stable and crack free slabs. They did a beautiful job achieving a sand finish. They stripped the forms without trouble and cleaned up after themselves well. I will refer G's to anyone I meet looking for concrete work. A+++

Gerardo Herrera came out and checked for the work to be done. It was job that needed attention. Gerardo said as it was a small job he could fit it in and that he would give me a estimate. That was the last I heard form him even after leaving a message for him to please contact. I see no excuse for no response. If he did not have the time or did not want the job it would have taken him about one minute to let me know. Too bad that this is the reputation he fostered here as I have heard otherwise that he does reasonable work but I have no use for this type of irresponsibility.

It didn't go as he never got back in touch with me. Ended up finding a non-Angie's List contractor and was very pleased with the work.
