The entire job was a positive experience. They were respectful of our property and patient with our questions. "G"'s business card states he is "honest, quick & affordable," and we agree. He stuck to his bid price and gave us a 10% Angie's List customer discount. Our experience with him was nothing but positive, and we highly recommend him to anyone needing concrete work. We give him an A+ !

G was very responsive to the initial request for an estimate. Out either the same day or the next day. His bid did come in the lowest, causing a little concern. But after I read all of his other positive Angie's List reviews, I had no problem awarding the bid to him. I also asked for references to look at his previous work. He provided me with addresses to take a look at his work. His crew was friendly, professional, fast and efficient. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for concrete work. I have recommended him to two of my neighbors in the area.

G's crew arrived on the date promised. One worker quickly broke up and removed the old concrete and hauled it away. They put in gravel, re-bar, reinforced the corners and finished it beautifully. They seemed a bit slow to return to take off the forms, but an email to G had them here soon after. We are very happy with the job they did and would recommend them.

G came and gave a very competitive bid for two new seperate concrete sidewalks. He is obviously a very busy contractor (good in my opinion) and was able to contact me when I requested a bid. His crew performed the work in a professional and courteous manner. We are very pleased with the two aggregate walkways his crew installed in very difficult sloping areas that both transitioned into existing patios. He provided a discount for Angies list members which provided a very nice discount. We hired "G's" based on his excellent reports on Angies list and his reponsiveness to our questions. Very nice gentelman. I would highly recommend him.

I sent an Angie's list request and night.. G called me the next day - came out that day, and then emailed me a bid the day after. He had some other work going on so we scheduled the work a few days out. The crew showed up when G said they would and did a great job. The only snag I had is when a sprinker line was broken (which I noticed weeks later when I went to turn on the water). G came out the day I called him about it to fix it. Great customer service and communication!

It was a little hard to arrange to get Gerardo's time to look at the job to give an estimate for such a little job, but he came to my house less than 2 weeks after I called him. He was great at suggesting the best, most cost-effective way to fix the cracked, leaking, slanted driveway by removing only a 2-foot strip and putting in new concrete that would drain rainwater away from the house. It was a pleasure to work with him.

I got bids from two Angie's list providers. One company never called me back after they made the bid. G's Concrete Inc. made a reasonable bid and did our repair work. They pulled permits with the City of Portland for removal of tree roots and repair of our driveway approach. The City inspected the work after the tree roots were removed and forms placed, and again when the job was completed. We are very happy with the job they did and they were easy to work with. I would recommend this company to anyone needing concrete work.

They were polite. They had the most reasonable bid. The work was done exactly as requested and it was a beautiful job.

G gave me a really great estimate (cheaper than many other contractors). He was a little bit difficult to get in touch with at first, but after that our entire experience was great. His team was very professional. G handled filing all of the permits with the city. The sidewalk was installed when the blossoms on our cherry trees hadn't quite fallen. The day the concrete truck arrived, G climbed our trees to try to shake as many petals down as possible so they wouldn't be imbedded in the concrete. They did a fantastic job at the best price!

We had G's team pour a new stamped concrete driveway and walkway in our backyard. The work was very well done and we are very pleased with how everything turned out. The driveway and walkways look great, and we especially liked the fact that they would come up with different ideas even after the job had started. It took a bit longer then we would have liked to get started, however I think the Oregon rains are to blame for that. My only problem now is that the driveway looks so good we think we need to get more done in our front yard. I have already recommended G to other friends and will do here as well.

They were very professional and did a great job. It was a very, very clean job. We were very happy with them. They were knowledgeable and had a very friendly crew. They didn't rush the job and they waited until the rain passed to pour the sidewalk. They weren't our cheapest bid by far but their quality showed through and we were very happy with them.

We received color and pattern samples and were given names, addresses and phone numbers for completed projects - several of which we visited. To cut the cost, we prepared the forms, gravel base, and reinforcing mesh, under Gerado's guidance. His crew ordered the concrete, poured and finished it. Good job of clean-up afterwards. Gerado came back to touch up a couple of spots where color wasn't quite what we wanted.

Gerardo ?G? promptly responded to my request for an estimate on our project. We want to replace and expand our driveway and rear patio, along with adding a connecting sidewalk along the side of the house. We didn?t know if our budget would allow us to get it all done at once, but G?s bid was so reasonable we were able to complete the entire project. G and his crew were fantastic to work with. The crew was on time, hardworking and professional. They were courteous to both us and our neighbors in that they didn?t smoke, play loud music or speak above normal conversation level while at our house. They paid attention to little details and also made an effort to do things the right way from the very beginning. I wound up asking for several changes during the course of project and in each case the answer was no problem, what ever it takes to get the job done the way you want. We are thoroughly satisfied with all aspects of the work provided by G. We really appreciate his attention to detail and effort to getting it right. Not only is the finish work great looking, but the grading, compacting of the sub-base and placement of re-bar will make it a great looking job far into the future. He even includes a coat of sealer in his bid. Since the completion of the project we have received numerous compliments from neighbors on how nice everything looks. I would certainly use G?s Concrete for any future projects I might have and can highly recommend them to you.

After the June rains abated for a while, G's came, and I set them up with AC for their equipment and watched them dig out the lawn area that was to be covered. Then I went off to work. When I got home, the job was done and they informed me that it was dry already! I had thought drying would take a couple of days. Rain was still intermittent but it didn't affect the finished product. It looks attractive and is exactly what I had asked for. Now that the nice weather is here I have been enjoying it every day.

As far as the plan for the patio, they understood exactly what we wanted when we described it to them. Since this was our first major project it was very important that there should be no communication gap, and the patio turned out exactly the way we wanted. As the project went along, they also made modifications (where feasible) upon our request. Sometimes they made their own suggestions which were more practical, and explained in detail why they made a particular suggestion. They answered all our questions very thoroughly. The supervisor(owner) was always available either on-site or by phone. The workers were very courteous and polite. When they had to come into the house for part of their work, they used protective sheets for the carpets, and left everything clean when finished. At the end of every day, they completely cleaned up the work area as much as possible. The end result of the project is now a beautiful well-made stunning patio. Overall we are very happy with their work, and would recommend them to everybody.

Gerardo was the lowest of 3 bids for replacing the driveway. I was a bit leery of that but his Angie's List writeups were so good and in meeting him, I felt very reassured. He started the project when he said he would and finished on time. While they were here I asked about getting a 10' section of sidewalk replaced as well. He gave me a very reasonable price on that and did it as well as the driveway. Also, at no extra cost, he ground down a portruding sidewalk edge. Everything turned out just great. The grading, tamping of the sub-base, rebar and cement finishing are first rate. He also applied a sealer at no extra cost. He has the equipment and crew to handle projects much bigger than mine. So they made short order of it all. His crew was professional, hardworking and well mannered. Cleanup was also well done. I'm very happy with all aspects of the project, especially the end result. The driveway is beautiful. I would certainly use G Concrete for any future projects.

Very forthcoming with his estimate. Explained process thoroughly. Answered questions completely. Very concientious. We have received numerous compliments from neighbors on the completed work.

G is wonderful to do business with. He is very friendly, punctual and professional. I very much enjoyed doing business with him, his prices are very good and the end product is very, very nice. His helpers are very quick and conscientious and I only wish I had another driveway to pour as I would love to give him more business.

G is very on the ball and runs a good crew. Throughout the process he and his crew were professional and courteous. The constant wet weather we had this spring created a long lag between the quote and when work started, but once G had a window to get the project done, it happened very quickly. The trenches were dug on one day and the concrete poured a couple days later. Amazingly, they didn't damage any plants during the trenching - we had expected to have some plant casualties but everything was perfect. G matched the aggregate wonderfully and the walkway is much more inviting, attractive, and safe.

Great experience from start to finish.

We were very pleased with his work. We battled with the weather a little, so he kept us informed as to when he was able to do it and when he wasn't. His workers kept everything tidy, cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. They did a great job.

The names of two concrete contractors were obtained from Angie's List. Both submitted bids. G's Concrete won the bid not only on price but also for his great customer service and attitude. He was able to complete the project within a week of being notified that he won the bid. His crew was there when they said they would be and completed the job in a very satisfactory manner. There were a few coordination issues with Verizon but they were also resolved satisfactorily. The crew removed the old junction box and installed the new one left by Verizon. It now sits at grade level within the sidewalk. The also made a couple minor repairs to the existing sidewalk. We are very satisfied with the project results.

G. responded immediately to my request for a quote. He was out the next day. He obtained all necessary permits and the work was completed within a week. His bid was considerably lower than I expected and he included the Angie's List discount without my needing to ask. He was extremely professional and courteous and all his dealings with us and his crew did a great job of cleaning up. Highly recommended.

As we anticipated, the City of Portland sent notice that our sidewalk needed repair. We received an unsolicited number of offers to do the work but decided to invite only those who worked relatively close by and recommended by Angie's List. Mr. Herrera of G's Concrete was one we invited to bid on the work. He was prompt, courteous, and much more. He answered all our questions, listened carefully to our concerns & responded straightforwardly. He assured us that he would be in charge of all the City permits and required tree inspection. These were integrated seamlessly. The sidewalk repair is beautiful. Furthermore, in the midst of working on the project, he was amenable, even gracious about our asking if he could add another, smaller job not connected to City requirements. The work exceeded expectations. Final comment: both he and his crew had a kind of sweetness about them that made talking with them a pleasure. Trust is the word that best encapsulates the experience. Recommended without reservation!
