From the first moment I called Mr. Herrera, ( G. ) His response and work were prompt, professional,and a great value. He returned our call promptly, showed up to look at our project, and gave us a bid. We could see his 20 years plus experience showed. We called him the next day and hired him. He gave us a date when he would approximately start our patio and sidewalk. He showed up ahead of schedule, promptly did the work. His men were considerate, great communicators, professional and cleaned up well after the job. We are thrilled with our lovely new patio and sidewalk. And his price was fantastic ! You dont need to look any further for concrete and flatwork. G's concrete is the BEST!

G came to my home and provided a bid on my concrete work. He was on time, was punctual. The job was to saw cut some concrete and install drains. G said he could do the job and provided me a bid. I explained to G at the time, that I wanted to get the job done early so that I would not run late into the season. I had G out in March to ensure the timing would not be a problem. G tentatively scheduled me for April 10th, almost a month out from the bid date. This was not a problem. However, after the bid, I called, texted and left several messages to confirm the start date. A start date was never provided. In almost each call/text, G told me he was "just going to call me." G was stalling on the job. Finally, on April 19th, he didn't call or return my calls. In a text two days later, he told me he did not have experience installing rain drains and wouldn't be able to do the job. This experience was very disappointing. Instead of telling me when he was onsite that he could/would not be able to do the job, I waited for over 5 weeks for him to confirm the start date, wasting a lot of my time and G simply not being forthright. G is a nice guy, but make sure he can do the job. Also, the communication skills are not good. If he does not respond, I'd move on. Really disappointing, I would nor could recommend him.

After contacting several companies for estimates, most of whom never followed through, we contacted Gerardo for a quote. He came out the very next day, right on time, and spent 15-20 minutes explaining the scope of work that needed to be done and how long the work would take. One day for excavation and cutting the curb, plus setting all the forms for a 20+ foot driveway. After that I would have to call the city for an initial inspection, and they could pour as soon as the inspector signed off. He also explained that, because it was late in the year he was very busy and that it would be at least six weeks before he could get started on our driveway. A couple of hours after he left, "G" had emailed me a quote that was significantly less expensive than the competition, and after getting such a good first impression from him, we decided it was worth the wait. At the time it didn't really click that my pregnant wife was due around that same time . Fast forward to the Monday before my appointment; G and I spoke on the phone and discussed the timeline. His crew would excavate on Thursday, I would schedule the inspector for Friday, and they would come back and pour the driveway and curb the following Monday. When I mentioned that my wife's due date was that Monday, he told me he would see if maybe he could get it done before the end of the week. Sure enough, Tuesday morning Gerargdo called and said his guys were on their way. The whole excavation process, including cutting out the curb and sidewalk was done by lunch time, and after a quick inspection that same afternoon, the crew came back on Thursday to pour the driveway, new sidewalk and curb. The quality of the work that was done was excellent and the fact that Gerardo went out of his way to move up the timeline last minute real showed his commitment to customer service. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and will certainly use G's concrete again.

I am so happy with the results. The decorative stamped concrete turned out beautifully and nicer than I anticipated. The regular brushed concrete at backyard shed is also fabulous and I'm impressed at how they lined up the end of the walkway to the slate patio I have. The guys were great. Very professional and kept me informed of the process from jack hammering out the old concrete, pouring the new concrete, applying the color finish, and finally sealing the entire project which brought out the two-tone gold/brown color so beautifully. G even had the guys bring some mulch by on Saturday (project finished Friday) to add around the borders of the new concrete. Full service! G was great to deal with. Very professional and clearly an expert in his field. I would recommend G's Concrete to everyone. Great prices, quality work :)

G and his crew did a great job. G came over for estimate that fit my schedule and provided ideas as I showed him what I wanted done. I had a large deck ripped out and wanted a concrete patio put in. He was able to fit in my job between rain events and the end product looks great. He also repaired two sections of sidewalk that were elevated by tree roots at no charge because he thought they were a safety hazard. G and his crew went above and beyond and I will definitely use them again for any concrete work.

I contacted G's through their website portal at this web address (http://www.gsconcretework.com/contact/) about removing a section of my backyard patio on 4/4/14. I needed the patio (about a 23' x 13' section) cut up and hauled away. I took photos and made a detailed drawing to send the the contractor so he could made a good estimate without having to come out o my location. No response back from this provider. Obviously too busy for a small job of this nature. Also, just about all the concrete at my home needs to be replaced, which I plan to do over time one section at a time. G's Concrete missed out on an opportunity for future business. Instead, my husband rented a jack hammer and busted up the concrete patio himself. Now comes the chore of hauling the concrete to the disposal facility.

Right up front, let me say that these guys are TOP NOTCH contractors, professional in all respects. They take pride in their work, and the results look great. Their price was outstanding compared to the competition. I would highly recommend G Concrete for your concrete work. We needed a driveway expansion (33'x7') to facilitate parking at our house. The manager came out on day of call, worked out details with me, then made a great offer on the spot that blew the competition out of the water! They're good COMMUNICATORS. Next day, they were here at 8am, and completed the excavation, gravel, rebar, and framing in less than 4 hours. On the next rainless day, they poured the concrete. They finessed the concrete surface to make it look very attractive. Cleanup was good. They were punctual, very efficient, and down to business with their work, producing a quick, professional result. Payment is flexible, within 30 days of job finish, UNLIKE others that require a down payment just to get started. You have concrete work to be done? Consider these guys. It's a joy watching them work their magic!

His bid was right in the area of a couple of other bids but I just felt more confident in him. Gerardo is a very nice man and he came out even when we had snow so I could show him the area I needed worked on. His crew was always very nice and helpful with all my questions and concerns. They always maintained a professional work process. They came early in the morning, sometimes as early as 7:15 and worked hard all day. It took a little longer due to the rain but they kept at it. They kept to the strict city code that was required and followed all directions. I would highly recommend them for any concrete work.

Bid preparation: They arrived exactly on time and provided an estimate within one business day. Very prompt. The work: They started right on schedule and completed the work within three days. The crew was extremely efficient, both in the removal of the old concrete and with the finishing touches of the new concrete. We have a stone wall next to the walkway. They carefully removed the stones and did an excellent job of replacing the stones in their original positions. The metal railing was also carefully re-placed. The completed walkway looks fabulous. The quality of work is far better than my expectations, including their attention to the details. I highly recommend this company.

I called and left a message on Gerardo's phone and he called back the same day to discuss the job after which we set a time to meet a few days later. Gerardo arrived exactly on time and we discussed and reviewed the work to be done. Gerardo had great ideas and we decided on a solution that was both the most reliable and cost effective. The next day I received his bid in an e-mail which called out all that was to be done and a very attractive cost considering other less dependable alternatives proposed by other contractors. After reconsidering the situation, I decided to expand the job. I called Gerardo with the proposed job expansion and he sent me back a new bid which include the additional work. Even with the expanded work he still had the best cost and best solution to deliver a good solid replacement for my front porch entry. We scheduled the work for a few days later. His team arrived as scheduled and removed the old concrete and set the forms for the new step and walkway. Geraldo kept me informed of the schedules for the concrete truck and it arrived as planned. The concrete pouring went well and after finishing the pour and shaping the concrete surface, a couple of the crew stayed with it all day as it was curing. Two days later the forms and all waste material was removed. The new step and walkway look great and I am a happy camper.

When we decided that this was the year we were finally going to fix our sidewalk and install a much-dream-of patio, I did tons of research on Angie's List. And then I called the top concrete contractors, leaving messages for them all. And... you know what? G was the only person who called back! He even apologized for the delay (which was a mere hour or two). We booked a bid appointment for two days out. Due to a change in our plans, I ended up canceling our bid appointment with him, but he was extremely polite about it. So, I can't speak to his work, but I can speak to his professionalism and punctuality. Thanks, G!

The project went exceptionally well. He showed up on time , did the job in two days, and cleaned up afterwards. I have other projects that need to be done.

Amazing work!!! These guys are so professional it is hard to believe. The concrete slab had intricate cuts for the shed including a rise for the door entrance, a sloping access, etc. etc. etc. They make it look so easy, and their work is so amazing. I can't say enough about how wonderful there work is.

Installed a new concrete pathway and landing to the frontdoor of our house. Exactly what we hoped for. Very conscientious to our concerns. Was the lowest estimate of 3 contractors. Did what he said he would and on time.

G's estimate was fair and accurate. There were no surprises once the work started though I would have liked more clarity as to the start date. With weather dependent work the fuzzy start schedule was acceptable and there was adequate communication. His crew was fast, efficient, and clean. The quality of the materials was top notch and the workmanship excellent. It was a very low stress construction experience.

After having another contractor come out to have a look, I waited about 3 weeks for an estimate that never came. G came out fairly promptly and gave us an estimate. Because of the late-summer timeframe, we waited about 2 months for the work to be completed, but the crew arrived to do the work right on schedule. They did an excellent job and left the worksite clean. The new section of driveway is a great match to the rest of the driveway.

Arrived on time. Assessed work needed and gave estimate which turned out to be accurate. Got the City permit. Completed work after a delay which he told me about because of prior commitments. He was the third concrete contractor I contacted for this job. The first did everything including getting a City permit, but didn't show up to do the work, then disappeared and wouldn't even answer phone calls. The second inspected the job but never got the permit from the city and wouldn't answer calls.

All of the initial prep work, including breaking up the old concrete, hauling it away and installing all of the forms for the pour, and installing re-inforcing re-bar for the entire pour, was done on the first day. The second day they got a later start because of availability issues withe the cement trucks. They had already informed me about this on the first day. However, in spite of the later start, all of the concrete was poured complete on the second day, plastic covering was put down over it and they finally stopped work around 6 PM. On the 3rd day, they did the wash for the exposed aggregate,scrubbed all of the surfaces several times until they were satisfied with how it looked, laid down and spread another truckload of gravel in order to level the driveway up to the new concrete, compacted it, cleaned up and were gone by noon. My wife and I could not be more pleased with how this project has turned out. I was kept informed of what was going on throughout the entire project, the crew was professional,highly skilled and fast. They always arrived on time and the job site was kept clean. When the job was completed, my place was left immaculate. I cannot imagine how this job could have been done any better. The company exceeded my expectations in all areas of the project.

The price was too high for me. He seemed to be very thorough. He was very polite and nice and he contacted me back after he sent me the estimate. I was very pleased with him, he showed me pictures of work he had done and they looked very, very nice.

Gerardo's consultation and estimate was very thorough. He spent 30 minutes with me to understand exactly what I wanted currently and what I thought about the property for in the future. The estimate included step by step detail on what the job would entail. I appreciated this as it helped me feel confident that the cost would remain close to the original bid (which it did). Four men arrived on the prearranged day and broke up the concrete by hand (took only 2 hours. They were very hard workers and the day was 89 degrees). A small bobcat removed the large slabs. The men carefully removed the concrete from the slider door base and foundation. The next day, the ground was smoothed out and a rebar grid installed. The third day, the concrete was poured. The workers were quick, professional, and very polite. They asked permission for any use of my property and kept me apprised as to what was happening. My neighbors commented on how quiet the project was. We are very pleased with the outcome. it was a simple, straightforward job--certainly not a high-end profit opportunity, but we were treated with respect and interest. We will definitely hire Gerardo again.

G,s was right on target for returning phone calls and start date. it was a good design and done in one day.the clean up was average. the clean up of their cement equipment on premises was B grade. the color put in the cement was not very even, but I was aware of the difficulty to have even.
