G's Concrete Inc

Purchasing a new walkway and driveway is an expensive undertaking, my husband and I spent many months reviewing and researching concrete companies. We are very picky people. We had 4 different bids. We went with G's because of his Angie list reviews, his professionalism, good price and we really liked how his driveways looked. He gave us some references and we looked at his work. He also gave us a 10% discount, we appreciated that! When G came out to look at our house, he was helpful and informative regarding options and design. He is very busy, and it took a while to get on his schedule. I did not mind this, and have found that this is typical for some of the popular companies on Angie's list. When the time finally came to do the job, it was done very quickly, over several days. G's crew worked extremely hard, and the finished driveway and walkway are just beautiful!! I do suggest that plants or any other items next to the work be covered with plastic before the job, as concrete dust and debris is a bit hard to get off of leaves and decorative rock we had next to the driveway. G offered to have his workers do this, and pay for new rock, but I decided to take care of that myself. I never thought I would be so thrilled about a driveway and walkway, but I must admit, I do love it!! Every time I drive home, park on my new driveway and walk up my new walkway, I feel happy. Friends and neighbors are always commenting on the driveway, and often use the word "beautiful" to describe it. The driveway and walkway has really improved the look of the home, and I know will help in resale. W I highly recommend G's Concrete. G and his crew (some of whom are his family) are professional, respectful, and take their work seriously. G is a delight to work with. He expects the best out of his employees and his customers get the best!!

The quote process was prompt and friendly. I felt that the project was well understood. The price was more than competitive so G's got the job. The crew arrived when they said they would and they went right to work. The workers are competent and careful. The forms were soon ready for inspection. I was disapointed that the contractor did not check to see if the forms were approved. I had to call two days later to ask why no work was happening. "Has the inspector approved the forms?" was the reply. I told him that the forms were approved. The next day the concrete was poured but then I again had to call G's to tell them that the work had been inspected and approved. Then they came and finalized the work. I am very pleased with the quality of the work. I am only concerned that I had to push the project more than I should have.

I took time off off work to meet G and he never showed up. Not cool G.

He was amazing. We recommended him to several of our other friends. He did a great job. He's very reasonably priced. We're very very pleased with the work he did.

The project start date was delayed about two weeks due to bad weather and the company finishing other jobs. Work then advanced quickly over the first few days, followed by a long delay. We assumed the delay was due to the need for allowing the new concrete to dry in some cold weather. Work resumed intermittently over several weeks until all steps were completed last week. We liked G, the crew, and the work that was done. That said, we think G might be overextended in handling all customer contacts himself and coordinating multiple projects to keep the work flowing to his employees. Once our project was started, we didn't hear from G unless we initiated the contact. Some days we'd see workers, then have several days of silence. It would have been helpful to have a little more notice of when workers would be on site, the length and reason for delays, G or the crew "checking in" with us for questions or concerns. But again, we are satisfied overall with the job.

They removed a thousand bricks, and a 16' x 18' patio that was existing. They hauled it all away. His phenomenal workers were here for 5 full days, to complete the entire project. They were very professional. "G" was wonderful to work with. He was very helpful and informative. He didn't require anything from us, up front. He's a very family oriented man, you can tell in words and his actions.

He apparently does good work, as shown by his scores in Angie's list. However, there are a significant number of cases here where he does not follow up with potential customers and it seems to me that if he doesn't want the work he won't say so, he just stops communicating. I've tried to hire this company, but now I have to move on and see if I can find a contractor who is willing to repour a new driveway in the winter. At least I was able to meet with him, so I gave him a D instead of an F...

Although a little difficult to contact, G is great. I had such a small project yet he fit us in his busy schedule. He even accommodated getting the work done before I had to have minor surgery. If you are patient with the contact part, G is great and highly recommended.

The actual work was done quickly and well. They prepped the area, put down gravel, and did the concrete work. It has a simple broom finish. They cleaned up when they were finished and came back to remove some items that had to be left until the concrete was hard. It looks good, and it seems to be correctly slanted so the rain water will drain away from the house. The company seemed to be extremely busy this summer, so it did take a long wait to have the work done, and some emails took awhile to be returned. We were not in a hurry, so it didn't matter o us. I assume they would be much quicker in the off-season. They were all polite.

Show up on time, completed in 2 days, left markers and tape to prevent access. I have had similar work done in past these guys came in and completed!

G was very responsive to my request and came to the house for a bid the following day of my call. I found him very friendly and eager to be of assistance in anyway he could. He listened to what I wanted and told me my wishes were no problem. His calendar was pretty full so I had to wait about a month for him to get started but once they arrived his crew really worked hard. From start to finish, it took about a week to do the entire job and he followed up with me a couple of times during the week to make sure everything met my expectations. Outstanding customer service and the work product was very nice. His price was reasonable for the amount of work done. When everything was complete he followed up with a phone call to make sure there wasn't anything else I needed and to make sure I was happy.

It went very well. The contractor and his team arrived promptly each day and worked very hard for the entire time. I would be pleased to recommend G's Concrete to other potential customers.

It went very well. The work is incredibly beautiful. Workmanship incredible. All workers are courteous and friendly. I'd like to think my walkway is somewhat artistic and I was able to jump right in and have forms shaped just like I wanted. I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. Also the price was the lowest of four bids submitted to me and I was given an Angie's List discount.

It all went as well as I could have expected. His crew removed the old driveway and poured the new one all in one day. His crew was efficient and professional in their work.

Geraldo came to do the work as scheduled.It was a huge job but they quickly broke up the concrete, took it away and disposed of it and built us a new concrete porch.Beautifully done and sloped so the water runs off.Definitely improved the look of our home. It was a huge job and felt that his price was very reasonable.

This is the second job that I had G's Concrete do for me. Both times that I used G's the work was excellent and was completed in a timely manner. All work was done according to the city of Portland specs. I read an article in the June addition of Angie's List about G's Concrete and the stamping of concrete for walk-ways and sidewalks. I am having them work up a bid for me to replace 22' of sidewalk going up to my front porch. I am very excited about this project, it will enhance the beauty and value of my property. I have a fourth project in my back yard that is a 12' x 12' slab which I am going to have them add color. I am going to build a patio cover over the slab to protect my patio furniture and bbq from the Portland weather. I am not sure of my design yet, but that is in the future. Just a last comment about G's Concrete, if you are planning a project don't put it off. They are very good in what they do and are very busy. Very professional and helpful when defining the project. The work team was very good at what they do from demo to forms and finishing. They clean up after themselves and let us know when they arrive and when leaving.we were particularly impressed with how each member of the team seemed to know their job and did it professionally and efficiently.

Gerardo and his crew did an excellent job preparing and pouring concrete for our driveway. Affordable price, excellent service, professionally done. And now our driveway looks great! Thanks, Gerardo!

Never received an estimate or indication that job was not wanted. Left a message for Mr. Herrera to follow up on 5-12-14. He had both phone number and email address. Still have not received response.

Very nice Guy. Friendly and came up with excellent ideas of how to resolve the problem. He saved me hundreds of dollars by his approach which worked very well. A little difficult to get hold of him when I called to schedule an appointment. However he came out when he said he would. He had one of his workers perform the work.. I was extremely impressed with how hard he worked and the quality of the work. The workman was very professional and also a really nice person. I would definitely use his services again. Excellent job. I would strongly recommend him to others. Excellent price but even better... Outstanding Work.. Thanks to Angie's list for helping me find this type of outstanding company.

Mr.Herrera (the owner) was very patient and good natured when we had to decide on the above changes. He knew an efficient operation and has well-trained and responsive employees.

He has a great communication and he did what he said he would do. I was very pleased with him and he actually did a very good job of following up and making contact back. He was quick with his estimate and he was even quicker to get the work done.
