Carlos went above and beyond what we were expecting. He was not happy with how the pressure washer alone was doing the stamped concrete, so he rented a special attachment (like a large circular floor scrubber) and used that first and then pressure washed. Was here most of the day. We mainly wanted the dirt and moss/mildew/algae/green stuff removed, no staining of the deck or sealing of the concrete to be done by him. He did an EXCELLENT job. We have hired his company before -- to paint the outside of our house -- and they did a very good job then, also. I highly recommend him and his company.

On 5/1 at about 3pm, I called Distinctive Enterprises and Painting and left a message requesting a call back about an estimate on repainting the exterior of my house. Carlos called me back at about 5:30pm and made an appointment to come out to the house the next day between 3:30 and 4pm. On 5/2 at about 11:30am, Carlos called me and asked if he could come by the house earlier (between noon and 12:15pm.) I agreed. Carlos arrived on time and we did a walk-around the house, discussing the job and possible paint color schemes. He advised me that he would email me an estimate soon - most likely on Friday or Saturday. On Sunday, I received an estimate from Carlos.He was responsive and professional but in the end, I chose to accept a different bid.

He was rot on time. He was very polite and worked very fast. He was very pleasant man to speak with. He did a great job and cleaned up after himself. You would not even know that he came. I would recommend him to everything.

Everything went perfect from start to finish. He even pointed out a problem that we caused and corrected it without issue.

I contacted to Carlos to see about getting a bid. He was very prompt, professional, and friendly. I explained to him that it was a rental house and I wanted to get everything the same color. I told him I did not want to have the ceilings painted but wanted the color to match closely. He said that it would not be a problem. After decideing to hire his company they were very prompt in starting the work, they even finshed a day earlier then planned. The job looked great when they were done. After a couple weeks had passed I noticed a couple of areas that needed some touch up, or had been missed. Carlos was quick to respond and fix any areas that I had concern about. This was after he had already been paid for the job as well. He stated numerous times that he wanted to make sure I was 100% happy with his work. I also appreciated the fact that he rembered our names. Carlos was great to work with and we would definately use him again.

Carlos is punctual and professional. He and his assistant got quickly to work and completed the job in one day. I was not there when they finished. So Carlos came back and did a few minor touch-ups. (The touch-ups only took about 10 minutes, but Carlos cheerfully completed them. He also made sure a had some paint for my own touch-ups.) The job looks great.

It went very well. Carlos and his crew did a very through job of pressure washing, preparing (caulking, plastic sheeting over windows, protecting shrubs, etc.). They put the paint on heavy, but not so heavy that it ran. They do "2 coats" -- spray it on quite heavy and then backroll it into the wood. Previous paint job (NOT by them!) had not been very even, so they had alot of places that needed extra work to get it to look right. They did a beautiful job. Cleaned up very well after the work was done. We have an interior painting project coming up and will definitely use them for that.

Carlos was very professional and paid close attention to detail. The work was done exactly as discussed and the room was left clean and tidy. He didn't rush the job and it shows in the results. I would definitely hire this company again!

The project took ten days. Carlos and his crew masked almost every surface in the house, taking particular care with floors,furniture, doors and cabinets. They removed popcorn texture from the ceilings as well as wallpaper and wood trim throughout the house. Once detailed patching and prep were completed, all ceilings and walls were retextured and painted. We chose 3 colors of paint in addition to white for the ceilings. The work was done to our satisfaction in a highly professional and timely manner. Distinctive Enterprises made sure to do an extremely thorough cleaning of the entire house one the project was complete. We will hire them again for other projects and are confident they will do an excellent job.

I called several companies to get estimates on painting the exterior of my house. Carlos was the first to return my call, and I liked him immediately upon meeting him and felt comfortable with him. I decided to go with him mainly because of that. He and his crew showed up exactly when he said they would, and all the guys were very professional and pleasant to be around. The job was completed in 2 days, which was pretty quick as the house is not that small. Carlos got me the EXACT color I asked for, which was important to me, because it was an unusual color. When the job was finished, the guys cleaned everything up, and left no trace that they were there, except for a beautifully painted purple house with dazzling white trim. I would not hesitate to recommend Carlos and his team, they are top notch! Gracias Carlos!

In May 2010 we chose Carlos Munoz, along with two other painting contractors from Angie's List, to bid our popcorn ceiling removal, brocading and interior painting. Carlos had the best price, plus he covered walls, floors and furniture very well with plastic.We are a bit fussy, but he did whatever was needed to please us. He was always very punctual, showing up when he said he would. Also was very pleasant and professional. We would use him again- in fact, we did! He also did some exterior painting for us in September. We were pleased with that also. Two thumbs up!

Carlos and his brother were well organized, efficient and professional. They asked us to walk around the house when they were finished and when we saw an area that needed more attention, they re-did it to our satisfaction. Our house and shed look great, and they were so careful, that even my flower beds remained intact and look good.

As far as the walls it looks fine. When it comes to the trim-not good at all. I have expensive trim and mouldings around fireplace. This was brought to Carlos's attention when he came to give bid. I stress that this was expensive and I didn't want any paint on it, that is why I hired a professional. His attention to detail was not good. Where he dripped or got paint on trim he just washed off with dry rag causing smudged paint on trim. Other places he did not clean up. Will be happy to show to anyone. Now I have to have trim all re-done. Other areas that were taped with masking tape took the top coat off-I discussed this with him and he said he would put clear back on, he did not. Why would you use masking tape on natural clear coat trim, anyway. I had to have him go back and repaint areas he missed. He said the light color was from the previous painter- I said the wall was painted and the trim put on after so there was not one drop of paint on the trim-couldn't have happened. He ask me if I was unhappy- I said I hired a professional and I should not have to tell you how to do your job because it upsets me with confrontation. The doors were done free-handed and knobs not taken off-I discussed this with him too and didn't like his answer-we discussed during the bid process-they were to be taken off. I am a novice painter and know that I could have done this job myself. Anyone who wants to contact me from Angie's list may do so or they can come over to my house and I will be glad to show them. I am at this point very sick over the trim issues. As far as the paint on the wall it is fine-however I do not believe there was two coats put on as stated in contract. I brought this up too and he said there was. Two coats means to me = first coat put on and allowed to dry, then second coat goes on after dried. I had too much paint left over and asked four painters how much paint would it need and they all came up with same answer-so why the leftover paint? How can you resolve the damage that has been done? I cannot, so now I have got to live with it and accept my stupitity for not picking the right painter to do detail and careful work on my trim. Please, be very careful who you pick for painting-even if they have glowing remarks on Angie's List as this doesn't mean they are bad painters but not good at detail work.

Carlos was prompt in getting back to me, coming to give me an estimate, and coming to work with his brother. They showed up at 7:30 sharp and got right to work. They did a good job of masking and protecting the furniture and cabinets in the rooms and laying tarps on the floor. They were quiet and courteous while they worked. They got finished about 2:30 after removing all the tape and covers and making sure everything was clean. They left the areas where they worked clean as they found them. I was very pleased with their work, which would have taken me days to do, and I don?t think I could do the high area above the stairs.

Carlos and his crew did a great job! We originally contacted him in the spring, but due to the weather the job was delayed until June. However, Carlos was very good at following up with us and trying to schedule the work in between the rainy days. Once the weather cleared, he was here immediately and got the job done in one day. The work was done professionally, it looks good, and the cleanup was thorough. They were very courteous and worked quickly. I would recommend Carlos!

Found out about service provider on Angie's list. He came to the house next day and provided an on-line quote in 1 day. We approved the quote and within a few days he came and did the pressure washing and painting of the house. Carlos was a very nice man, very professional and courteous. My husband and I both liked him very much. He did an extremely professional job, very promptly and I plan on using him again for some interior painting later on in the year. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

On time, professional. My general contactrator had chosen and painted the kitchen ceiling and I had done the rest of the ceilings using the same paint. Totally wrong paint, hated it. Carlos came out and gave me an estimate, paint chips and several suggestions for an appropriate color. On painting day I left for work and came home to a great job, complete and clean. I was a little nervous as I had all new molding and baseboards but no paint splatters and the lines were so clean you would have thought I painted before installing. Happy dance.

The owner was not unpleasant. Generally professional, but I do prefer a painter who asks questions and seems positive about making the project work, instead of acting like it is a chore to show up, a chore to quote, and a chore to paint.

Carlos and his co-worker did a fabulous job from start to finish. Because they were spray painting, they took alot of time enclosing and taping the areas they were working on to minimize any overspray. We had alot of cracks in our cabinets and they meticulously puttied and sanded prior to painting. Carlos made we were satisifed with their work and would re-do anything we had concerns with. Very high work ethic. We would definitely hire them again.

Our rooms were a mess due to another painter who claimed more than he could deliver. Carlos had to overcome the horrible mess the previous "painter" created. And, he did it excellently. He told me he would be here at 7:30 and he was here on the minute and had his gear all packed up our front stairs. Carlos works hard and is an excellent painter. He repaired all the damage the other painter did along with damage cause by our dog's claws. By 4:30 the job was complete and the switch plates all screwed back on--nice and neat. Carlos did an excellent job and I would use him again anytime. He told me he loves painting and it shows in his work. Walt Vogt

My bathroom walls were a mess. The top half of the walls are the original plaster and lathe and the bottom are dry wall. A previous owner had covered the seam with some ugly molding and shelves. I pulled those off and tried to level the two halves of the walls with drywall mud. I applied layer after layer of mud but couldn't get the walls level. Originally, I called Carlos to apply texture to the walls in order to mask the patching. He advised that texture wouldn't look good on top of all the patching and recommended leveling the walls with a layer of plaster. He refined some of my patching, leveled with plaster and then painted. The walls look great. One would never know how lumpy and uneven they were just a few weeks ago.

I was extremely pleased with the quality and speed of his work. He showed up on time and went right to work. I will use Carlos again as soon as I need any type of painting and would recommend him with no hesitation.

Quick response, on time and good clean up. They worked very quietly.

He was punctual, clean, and careful. The work product was extremely well done. He not only painted the complete interior of both 1400sqft units, but he re-applied lacquer to several of the cabinets. His pricing was very reasonable, and again the work itself was outstanding!

I wrote to Distinctive Enterprises through angieslist.com and Carlos contacted me within a week. We met at my house on a Tuesday afternoon and he sent me an estimate that night. Thursday the company was at my house by 8 a.m. to pressure wash and Saturday they came to paint.
