Description of Work: I had 6 estimates and reviewed Angie's List as well as the better business bureau before hiring Bliss. Their crew was wonderful, they worked long hours and finished the job on schedule. Mark, the salesman/estimator came out to check the job sight and make sure I was happy with the work. I would recommend Bliss Roofing to anyone looking for roofing needs in the Portland area.

Description of Work: They were hired to redo the area where the tile meets the facia. They installed flashing and also replaced the tar paper in the valleys, which had deteriorated due to water damming. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after. This was done in the cold and sometimes rainy weather. Their work was completed on time. I would definitely recommend Bliss to anyone for roofing repairs.

Was a bit disappointed that only one roofing/cost option was provided (other companies gave me 3-5 options/costs for different roofing materials). Decided to hire a lower bidder that a friend has previously used for roofing.

+ -1 moreTHIS CO. PUT ROOF ON MY NEW HOME IN 1996, and DID GOOD WORK. I CALLED BECAUSE OF 2 LEAKS. THEY CAME OUT FAST, FIXED PROBLEM, and SO FAR (IT'S BEEN 6 WEEKS) HAVEN'T BILLED ME. I TAKE IT TO MEAN THIS IS A WARRANTY REPAIR, EVEN THOUGH THAT WASN'T A MATTER WE DISCUSSED. WE'VE HAD SIGNIFICANT RAIN, and SO FAR, SO GOOD. EVEN IF I GET A BILL, I'M HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS.

+ -1 moreTHE GUY WHO GAVE THE "ESTIMATE" WAS VERY NICE, POLITE, AND ACTUALLY EARLY FOR THE APPOINTMENT. HE SHOWED ME EXACTLY WHERE THE GUTTER WAS LEAKING. THE GUY I LATER SPOKE WITH ABOUT THE UNREASONABLE CHARGES WAS A LITTLE "SALTY" WITH ME, BUT DID REMOVE THE $50 CHARGE FOR SERVICE THEY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO DO. I BELIEVE THE PERSON COMING TO PERFORM WORK WHEN HE WASN'T SUPPOSED TO WAS DUE TO A LACK OF COMMUNICATION WITHIN THEIR COMPANY. REMOVING THE $50 CHARGE FOR THIS WORK WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. ALTHOUGH, I FEEL A COMPANY SHOULD BE UP FRONT ABOUT CHARGING $150 FOR AN ESTIMATE AT THE TIME THE APPOINTMENT IS MADE. IT IS UNPROFESSIONAL, AND A BAD WAY TO DO BUSINESS, IN MY OPINION.
Description of Work: I HAD A DRIPPING GUTTER, AND DIDN'T KNOW IF IT WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ROOF OR THE GUTTER. I ASKED FOR AN ESTIMATE TO FIX. THE GUY CAME OUT, REMOVED SOME OF THE TILE, AND FOUND THE ROOF WASN'T THE PROBLEM. THE GUTTER NEEDED TO BE SEALED IN TWO PLACES. IT WAS A WET DAY, SO IT COULDN'T BE SEALED UNTIL CONDITIONS WERE DRY. I TOLD THE GUY I HAD PREVIOUSLY ATTEMPTED TO SEAL THE GUTTER MYSELF, HAD GUTTER SEAL, AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN MYSELF AS SOON AS IT WAS DRY. THREE WEEKS LATER I RECEIVED A BILL FOR $200. I CALLED AND QUESTIONED THE CHARGES. THEY APPARENTLY SENT SOMEONE OUT TO SEAL THE GUTTER WITHOUT ME REQUESTING THE SERVICE, UNANNOUNCED, AND WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT, WHICH COST $50, PLUS CHARGED $150 JUST FOR THE ESTIMATE.

THE CREW ARRIVED ON FRIDAY AND FINISHED ON SUNDAY, EXCEPT FOR SKYLIGHTS. IT TOOK A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO GET BACK TO FINISH, BUT I'M VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK AND THE RESPONSE FROM THE BLISS REPRESENTATIVE (CHAD).
Description of Work: RE-ROOF JOB WITH COMPLETE TEAR-OFF AND SKYLIGHT REPLACEMENT.
