Bliss Roofing

We purchased our house in 2012, and our inspector admitted that he was no roofing expert and unsure of some minor aspects of our tile roof. After doing some research I contacted Bliss and they came out and quickly took care of everything in a timely and professional manner. Over the years, I have had numerous tasks completed; replacing a skylight, moss cleaning and treatments, consults about remodeling that would effect my roof, etc. Honestly, I can't think of too many contractors I have retained this long, and that says something since I understand what it takes to have great customer service- timely and clear communication with professionals that know their craft, transparency in all options with decisions while keeping an eye on the best value for the customer, all with a helpful demeanor meaning no hint of sass or patronizing tone, in either vocal or email comms. That's why I appreciate them. If there are any reviews here under five stars, I'd say most likely the customer may be at fault for not giving Bliss a chance to make things right. I failed to mention that I make a point to spend my money where people value diversity, so even if you have an interaction with someone from Bliss that may not speak English the best, trust me when I say they know about roofing, and they do a great job.

We've used their service before and will be using them for our tile roof. I have an annual roof cleaning agreement with them.

Everyone was professional and courteous. The technicians arrived on time and finished the work in a timely manner. They replaced some tiles, properly sealed them, and replaced sheathing that was improperly installed by the previous contractor. I will hire Bliss again for any of my roofing repair needs.

Overall it went really, really well. I had gotten a few other bids and I was most impressed with Bliss Roofing. Jason came out and told me what I did and didn't need. One of the other companies told me I needed new gutters; Jason said the gutters were fine, they just needed cleaning. They came out within just a few weeks of giving me the bid. The crew spoke Spanish but Bliss made sure one of them spoke English. And he was easy to communicate with. The guys did great work, cleaned up afterwards and even cleaned my gutters and the roof over my carport. I did get the wrong color of roofing. Don't know what happened there. While I would have preferred the color I originally chose the one they put on is acceptable and looks nice.

They did a great job. There was some dry rot on the under-lament of the roof. They cut that out, and left the good wood they trimmed up the side. They did real good job on the gutter system too. They are an Portland company. Its an good company. They had to remove the chimney, and they weren't careful with that. They put gravel and dents in my lawn. Other than that, they were a good company. I don't know if they did the gutters at the same time. I think a day after the roof was on. I think they could have been more careful with the chimney removal. They had a good price. Just communication. The owner spoke clear English, but the workers were not as clear. They spoke mostly Hispanic. It was kind of difficult to speak to them when the owner was away. That was tough. I don't speak Es panel.

The scope of job was well laid out and scheduled to our satisfaction. The work was completely done in two days. They craftsmanship of the work was performed in a safe and precise manner.

Roof is beautiful. I am happy with service. Tear off Monday, new roof Tuesday, and clean up finished on Wednesday 24th. No problems. I am satisfied with service and would recommend and use again. I went with Bliss mainly because I was so happy with repair work completed October 2015 when I had a leak at furnace vent. Re-submitted because review date was inaccurate.

We paid about $8,000 for a new roof July 2014, there were issues during their work. I had to call many times to have them finally to complete the job. That winter we had leak in bathroom ceiling skyline area. They sent someone over to fix it. Since then I notice some spots are damp when it rains heavily. Recently (Dec.2016) I noticed there's light yellow water mark on the ceiling around skyline again. It is snowing today (Jan.7,2017), we saw snow coming into the house in bathroom where the skyline is!

Horrible service will not recommend to anyone.

Bliss was a pleasure to deal with throughout.. My solarium roof had been improperly deigned and poorly executed when added by the previous owners, leading to a leak all along the seam with the house. Greg figured out how to solve the problem. The crew was polite, professional, a pleasure to have around. They cleaned up after themselves every step of the way. One example: when their driver picked up the huge dumpster from my driveway on the day they finished, he pulled out, then got out of the cab and walked back to where the dumpster had been. He walked around picking up a few stray nails and bits of debris. That's thorough! They provide a ten year warranty against leakage due to workmanship. I would definitely hire them again.

This guys were great. The only delays were in starting due to the heavy rains we've been having this Winter/Spring. Once the weather cleared up, they were able to start quickly and completed the tear-off and new roof in just two days. There were a few minor problems afterwards, but they came right over and quickly fixed the issues. They were very careful with the yard and not one plant was damaged in the yard. And they cleaned up the yard completely, and hauled away all the debris. I couldn't ask for anything more, plus the new roof looks fantastic. I'd hire them again and recommend them to anyone. In fact, my neighbor across the street is having them do his roof now based on the work they did for me.

In 1992 I moved into a house with a shake roof circa 1986. Pretty, but by 2010 with all the maintenance that shake roof needed, I was going broke! (I have 3 big pine trees and I had 2 big alder trees close to the house) The money I spent on keeping the pine needles off my roof alone with the pressure washing and staining, ugh! Plus, when I painted my house I found it wasn't so easy to walk on and I discovered that after all that maintenance I still needed a TON of shakes replaced. Enough! The new roof looks great, I got the ridge vent that runs along the peak so I don't have those little domes on my roof plus they replaced my old skylight. Forward to 2016. Its been great, well worth the money and Bliss did a great job. I got a bunch of bids, Bliss was not the lowest or the highest but my neighbors recommended them highly. They cleaned up afterwards and I am happy to say I the only money I've spent since then is this year I got some moss on one side, I gave them a call, they offered to come out and clean it for me and life is good again.

It was an excellent experience. Their estimate was very detailed and accurate. It wasn't the lowest estimate, but it included everything you can think of, and several items that you didn't think of. The final cost of the job was exactly the estimate, even though they did extra work around the ventilation, and other items. The crew was really nice, and did very high quality work. At the end of the job, the roof looks great, keeps me dry, and they cleaned up the area completely. There's nothing left behind. The only negative in the experience was that they couldn't start right away. But after seeing their work and the experience, I understand why they're busy. They are worth it - you won't be sorry going with Bliss. Scott, the account manager, was always in touch with me, and great to work with. Alex, the crew chief, was very friendly. Both did a great job.

Gave great advice that seemed balanced and fair. Yes, we need to replace the roof, but not for another 3-4 years - another company had said we should replace it now. A second other company completely mis-diagnosed the source of the leak. The man that did the work was so helpful that I called the company and let them know how great he was.

I got 3 bids, they were all with in a few hundred dollars of each other. I was impressed by the completeness of the Bliss bid. Bliss also installed the original roof on my house and gave excellent customer service for the life of the old roof. I gave Bliss the job. Bliss completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after them selves. I had issues with some nails showing in the soffits. Don Bliss looked at the problem, and assured me they would make it right. They put 6 man days into fixing the problem caused by a young roofer. They made it good, they stood behind it. I am happy with the outcome. It pays to do business with a family business, I would use Bliss again.

They were extremely thorough and did a great job, far better than others we have used in the past. Not only did they pressure wash the roof but the clean-up after the work was done was excellent. They were very attentive to detail. No doubt we will being using them in the future.

The job was excellent. They also clean and blow off all the ground and landscaping. They are very punctual and professional and guarantee their work. We will have them return every year. We finally found a company that would clean and treat our tile roof. They will also make any necessary repairs if needed. We are so happy with our clean roof!! Thank you Bliss Roofing!!

I have this done about ever two years. They sweep/blow the moss and debris off the roof. If any roof tiles are broken or missing they replace them with a supply I have. They make sure the valleys have all the debris out from under the tiles by removing them if necessary. Then they clean the gutters. They are prompt and courteous.

Contacted Bliss roofing for a roof replacement estimate. The person that returned the call advised they were so busy the best they could do was to try to make it out the following week, but not Monday's or Friday's and after 2:30 in the afternoon. This made me begin already to worry about how timely the job would be completed. The initial call was told they needed an appointment to come out. Two days later, we arrived home to find a Bliss roofing representative on the roof - without an appointment. Obviously they are too busy to be accommodating to potential clients and they don't listen well and follow directions poorly. These things confirmed we would not hire Bliss roofing for any jobs.

Very willing to answer all my questions. They started when promised, took the same amount of time as they estimated and did a really nice job. I would absolutely recommend them to someone else.
