The arborist said he didn't have time for preparing a written report on the health of my 4 Doug Fir Trees and suggested another arborist. He provided the contact information on that arborist. I called him, he said he would send me an engagement letter early the following week and would come out the week after if we accepted his services. Never heard from this arborist the following week, followed up with an email and phone call to no avail. Here is the kicker though. I contacted Collier's/Bartlett and let the original arborist know of my lack of success with that person he referred business too. Never heard back. An apology or another arborist for me to use, or any sort of response is better than none. Would never use Collier's or Bartlett.

We have used Collier Arbor Care many times over many years and they are professional, knowledgeable, reliable. You can trust them to do a competent and complete job whether it involves pruning or landscape/lawn care services like spraying.

They arrived on time and did a fairy good job on the first day. After they left, I noticed that they forgot to trim one tree. I called them and they came back in two days. Again, they showed up on time and did a good job.

The problem that I had was that I signed a contract for a year, but they increased the price in the middle of that year, despite what the contract said. I cancelled the service at that point. The work that they did was professional; however, the way that they manage their contracts is not.

They were able to come earlier than was originally scheduled due to another project that was delayed. We walked the property and examined what the quote stated by Lyle the master arborist. The crew of 2 started working and within within the promised time period, the work was completed very much to my satisfaction and also had all the branches cleared from the property. They were extremely careful to not injure my Koi fish in my pond which was directly underneath 2-3 of the firs.

The crew did a fantastic job. They were very prompt and we went over everything that was being done. They had a large crew and so the job went quickly. The neighbors were impressed with how quiet the chipping machine is compared to others. They did an awesome job with cleanup and really went above and beyond.

The employee who visited us was very knowledgeable, providing options (as limited as they were).

Great service, prompt courteous. We've been a customer for a decade.

The trees and the hedges are looking great. They always call the day before they come out and I don't even have to be at home when they come out.

In order to save money on the job cost we told Collier we would dispose of the tree logs. We had been told they would be left in "manageable" sizes. When I found there were many large, heavy logs left which would be difficult to move without equipment (my husband has heart and back problems) and would like them to come back and cut the logs down to a smaller size, I got the runaround from the owner. I was told my husband said the job was OK. My husband was in the front yard at the end of the job and did not see the size of the logs. This company is scheduled out months--do not look for quick turnaround on scheduling your job and I will never recommend or use any company who does not sympathize with the customer no matter what the issue. Collier showed no interest in making it right and only offered to come back if we wanted to pay another $100 to have them remove the logs entirely.

Mr. Collier arrived promptly at our house at the appointed time to provide an estimate. As stated above, the work was scheduled and performed exactly as described. The price was as quoted. We are very happy with the work and will use them again.

We have used Collier's previously for treatments on our trees, know them to be professional, honest, competent, and knowledgeable. We knew the approximate cost of removal from bids received over the years, however due to the interactions with Phil and Lyle, we determined that Collier's was the way to go because this job would be complicated. The entire process was positive and great. From the time Phil came out to discuss what needed to be done, to the scheduling, to the arrival of the crew, the process of the removal (real teamwork by the crew) and the cleanup. I can't say enough positive things about this company and the people that work for them. The crew have worked together for a number of years, and it shows. They trust each other immensely. Each person had a job to do, and each did it extremely well. We have a complicated yard, lots of plants and curving walkways. Collier's worked with us and our neighbors to minimize damage (none) and to remove all debris as the trees were cut and removed. Work was completed as planned and stayed on schedule. Crew was prompt in arriving each day, and professional in their interactions with us. We will continue to use Collier's for any tree service that we require. Highly recommend this company to anyone.

Quality of the work was satisfactory. However, 2 trees cut down were supposed to have rot based on their assessment. No evidence of any significant rot was seen in. I feel the trees could have been pruned rather than cut down at that time. They did do the work quickly and efficiently. They did clean the area well afterward. Their price was competitive with the other quote I received. A PVC sprinkler pipe was smashed by falling timber, however, that I had to repair later. Pipeline may not have been seen as it was partially buried.

No one showed up. Lyle was the person scheduled to give us the bid. I called the office and they were unable to contact Lyle via cell phone. It's now 25 minutes past the appt. time, no call, no contact. UPDATE: he just showed up 28 minutes late. The last time we talked to them they gave us a bid that was 3x the other competitors and at this point I don't know why I gave them a second chance. Not recommended.

They only spray 2 trees because the one was going to do if they didn't do something. They are expensive. We would continue to use them in the future.

WOW! We are so happy with the work that was done by Collier's. Lyle was very thorough when giving us an estimate, and he estimated corectly. We had two huge trees removed and the stumps ground out. I had some anxiety about all this as the work to be done occurred in a very tight space in a small backyard. I had concerns that a fence, deck or roof may get damaged, but everything went very well. I have had Collier's do tree work for me for us for about 4 years now and have always been pleased with their knowledge and professionalism. Great clean up job too!! I would highly recommend them.

They come on a regular basis. They are dependable. I like their service. I have not had any problem with the trees so far. I am satisfied with the quality of their work.

They did a good job but they were prohibitively expensive. They are a long time company in this area and they have a good reputation which is why we hired them. It is a very ornamental tree and that is why we wanted somebody that was good to do it. They told us ahead of the time as to what the cost was going to be and we opted to do it but we thought that it was a ridiculous price. The tree turned out to be good. The quality of their service was very good.

1. First, schedule an appt for Thursday -- took 15 minutes because I had to repeat my address 4 times. I really had a feeling that I had a bad phone connection or the person I was talking to (Kim) was hungover or highly distracted during my conversation with her. Was told I couldn't see the owner, rather Lyle covered my area and that's who I got. 2. They moved my appt. to a day I would be out of town, called to tell me matter-of-factly that they changed the appt. 3. Called them back, told them that time didn't work, changed the appt to Monday. 4. Got several calls from them this afternoon. One was about the Thursday appt being moved to Friday and confirmation that they had got my msg that I would be out of town and to call back to re-schedule, 2nd was the same person (Kim) realizing I had already called and changed to Monday. Third was another person telling me my Monday appt. was now invalid - Lyle wouldn't be around. Why do they continue to make appts for times that they are not available -- this is the 2nd time they've made an appt for me that was invalid. I've now spent a half hour of my time (they don't want to know my hourly rate) trying to make an appt...they've made two invalid appts with me... I'm really surprised by this level of service, given the comments I've heard about the company...this is ridiculous. I don't think anyone should spend :30 trying to make an appt for a bid...and I don't think 2 incorrectly scheduled appts are acceptable -- get the schedules straightened out!

They have always done really good work for us. They are prompt. I feel like they are very professional and knowledgeable. They clean up after themselves. I think their arborists are very knowledgeable.

Fine. They came to give an estimate on a day when I was working, so I didn't get a chance to discuss specifics. Nevertheless they had a good reputation and the estimate was comparable with another one I had received for the same job. They came on the day they said they would and performed the job to my satisfaction. I would have appreciated a call to let me know when they would be arriving so that I could discuss the specifics with them (naturally they showed up in the 2 hour window when I had to leave the house- they were gone by the time I returned). My only gripe was that I sent my payment check with the Angies list coupon and the 10% deducted from the bill. I then received a letter requesting the "outstanding amount". When I called to get this addressed the receptionist was abrupt and unapologetic for the billing error. The communication with the company was a little below what I would expect and the service was a little anonymous, but I would probably use them again. Ultimately I have no complaints about the quality of the work or the cost.

Unfortunately, I was not there when they arrived. The apple tree in the back was pruned to my specifications. The tree in the front yard had a few cuts to it but did not exactly fit with the way I had envisioned it to be. I called them the same day that they had come out and a team arrived a few days later on an agreed upon date to cut the tree to my specifications. They were great. The only downsides to this company- lack of notice. I was not informed the day my fruit tree was to be sprayed and only knew it had happened by finding a notice on my door. For the 2nd time out to my house, I was told they would come in the morning. Ultimately ended up arriving noon-mid afternoon. I would have liked to have known to plan my day. Overall, they do a good job and I would likely consider using them again. For all services to a home, I think it is best to be available so that all parties involved can voice there expectations. So next time, I plan on being around.

We got them from Angies List. They were very professional, honest and ethical. We also wanted some tree limbs to be cut but he said that I did not need it because the trees would split during winter.

They are good. They are very punctual. They use organic products when they can. I have bird feeders and they move them. They cover up the garden area even though they use organic products. They just take extra steps.
