Pat was very efficient! Not only did he replace the broken spring, he tightened all nuts and bolts, oiled everything, checked sensors, etc. I would definitely use them again - but hope I do not need to ;)

Installaer looked at door, said he would call back with estimate. Company neveer called back, so I purchased the materials and did the work mysekf.

Someone from Simmons came out, made some adjustments, cleaned it up a bit and my 40 year old door/opener works like a charm. He was on time, cheerful and professional.

They also gave me credible information about electric opener security. When I'm ready for one of those, I'll call them.

After initial call, an appointment was made, a second call was received and was told of another appointment opening (due to a cancellation), so the work was done on the same day as I called. Worker was polite and friendly and very helpful in choosing the best way to fix my garage door opener.

I called A-Simmons when our garage door opener failed. They returned my call within 15 minutes and had a service rep. to our house within one hour. The technician quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. He also gave the garage door a general tune-up.

The installer was prepared with all the proper tools. He knew what he was doing. Before he placed the braces on the top end of the door he show me what it was going to look like and asked if I was OK with the braces. Most people would not have asked but they seem to want to please the homeowner. I did not realize the amount of cardboard and other materials that was left over after the job was complete. This material was placed carefully in his truck for removal. He did not ask for my garbage can so he could leave the material. I did notice a cross brace piece which was not exactly plumb. I mentioned it and told him it was OK to leave it that way. But, he took it down and did it right. I was very pleased with the workmanship.

The estimator arrived the day after I called. It took a couple weeks before they could do the work. The did a high-quality job at exactly the price originally quoted even though the job apparently took longer than they anticipated. They worked until 6:30PM in order to finish the job, and carefully explained all aspects of the garage door opener before leaving. Both the estimator and person who did the work were very nice and informative.

I called this morning at 8:30 to have the spring replaced on my garage door. They said they could be out this afternoon sometime. Pat arrived promptly at 2:15 and very competently repaired my door. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. I would definitely use this company again!

Gary was quick to look at my opener and let me know my options. Once a decision was made to get a new opener put in, it was done within 24 hours. I was pleased by the whole experience, there was no pressure to buy a new opener and no hassle whatsoever. Courteous and timely, it was a good experience.

This company came to give me a free estimate with no hassle coupons game. A-Simmons' rep was very up-front on what he was going to charge and why. He did not give me an iffy estimate and charge me whatever. I was on the phone for almost over 2 hours. I called just about every company in the yellow pages and some from Angie's List. One company (Precision) wanted to charge me $59 for coming out and then they will kindly offer me a coupon for $15. This was how I tested the companies: I gave all the companies the same question on a part I knew about. Most really over-priced it. A-Simmons was the best bargain and least expensive. They did not play games and were very informative in answering my questions. Furthermore, they care enough to be proactive and help me prolong the life of my garage door at a very reasonable price. Bottom line, great service can be a bargain if you know where to look. Call and ask as many questions (same) to different companies to know who is giving you the deal.

OWNER SEEMED CARING ABOUT DETAILS. THE MATERIALS TO COMPLETE THE JOB WERE OUT OF STOCK SO WE HAD TO WAIT. THEY STILL HADN'T CASHED THE CHECK AFTER 1 MONTH. HE KNEW WHAT HE WAS DOING.
