He did this for locks in a century old building with all the lock issues older buildings have. He completed with a timely manner, accepted credit card with a Square, emailed and papered a receit. Great Job!

+ -1 moreThere was a lot of confusion on my part about date and time. Also because the required service address was different than my home address he went to the wrong location. That meant we had to reschedule which he was willing to do, but it was lost time for him and me. Also I believe he charged the $60 service call plus additional for the repairs rather than deducting the initial fee. It just was not a satisfying encounter. In addition the lock broke a little bit after he fixed it and I needed to get a new one put in. He could have recommended that at the time.
Description of Work: Came out and rekeyed locks and put in a new lock in mail box.

+ -1 moreBrian was punctual, efficient, and professional, and was able to come at a time convenient for me. He had me text him a picture of the existing locks so he could best match the replacment deadbots - which I certainly appreciated. In the process I learned that Schlage locks are more expensive to install and service than Quickset locks, but better. (Schlage are commercial/residential grade while Quickset is residential only - I, of course had Schlage locks....) I will use them again.
Description of Work: Brian installed two deadbolts, reyed 6 locks, replaced a malfunctioning doorknob, (he offered me a new set or a used set that he had in his truck - I choose the used) and cut 4 keys for me for my new rental.

+ -1 moreGreat. \The locksmith, Chris, was very polite and reassuring. He arrived within half an hour, got the job done in minutes without destroying the lock, so it didn't have to be replaced. He told me about a potential problem, and advise me to test it out carefully, in case I need to replace it. He told me about a different kind of lock that might meet my needs, and that if I had installed my current lock, I should be able to install the new one. He didn't try to sell me more services! But if I decide to have the work done, he is the person I will call.
Description of Work: Awesome is right! I called for help opening a door that had a battery-operated lock with a dead battery.

+ -1 moreI called this company at 9:30 AM to set an appointment for this afternoon...shortly after I made the appointment, I received a return call that the time we had would not work due that he was under contract with a firm that needed him at the 1 PM time slot. He offered to have a partner/friend of his who is also a locksmith come and do the job so it would be done today or he could do it tomorrow. We told him that an earlier time would work and he was here within the hour. Great job, all keys work well and very reasonable. I would use them again

+ -1 moreWe had a lot of trouble installing a supposedly easy front door lock, but it turned into a saga of failure. We called the locksmith, and he explained that the kit was missing hardware. He quickly installed it for us using his own hardware, and it looks fabulous. We were so pleasantly surprised by the reasonableness of the cost that we are going to have his team back in the future to install door fixtures around the house. Thanks!!! It was a great experience.

When he was done and I realized I needed keys for the mail box he took the time to walk to 2 different community mail boxes and try every key slot to figure out which one was mine so it could be re-keyed. He really went above and beyond to help me out. He also honored the Angies list coupon. Great Job.

Description of Work: I've used this company before for changing out my locks. This time I needed to install a keyless entry, remove the old locks. Things got tricky when after installing things, the screen door wouldn't shut properly. I had purchased the keyless entry from Chown Hardware who would not take it back without a 25% restocking fee, and Chris, the owner, was kind of enough to 1) drive out to Home Depot to get another system that would work, and 2) credit my bill with the one from Chown that he would try and sell himself! This went above and beyond what he needed to do. He's an honest guy who doesn't get thrown by little things like our locking outselves out of my house when we closed the door before we had a code to get back in. No problem, he's a locksmith! Got us into my side door.
