+ -1 moreI appreciate Paul's good communication and resourcefulness in making suggestions and giving me options, including cost savings, to solving issues. For example: he called all over town for a hard to find a part for a malfunctioning unusual window, instead of replacing the window. The quality of work is excellent. It's a pleasure to have someone so personable and even mannered working in your home. He's is clean and tidy. I'm glad our new house does not require major remodeling or repair, but if I it did, I would hire Paul in a heartbeat as he's also a craftsman, and we hardly utilized all of his skills. He's also a specialist on environmentally friendly insulation.
Description of Work: We moved into a new house In Eugene and our Realtor is the one who recommended PK Contracting and Paul Hampshire. Paul repaired dry rot in a garage wall, installed new sheet rock and exterior siding, cut concrete and re-engineered and upgraded the drainage system around the perimeter of the garage that caused the water damage in the first place. We were pleased with this job, so we had him back to replace a basement door, perform window repair, and some miscellaneous minor carpentry fixes and repairs both on the interior and exterior of the house as needed (about $1100 including new door and materials). Several of these needed fixes were ones he pointed out to us with his professional eye and ones that would have been exacerbated to more costly repairs over time. For this, we are grateful.
