Owner is extremely knowledgeable and professional, always taking the time to answer questions and provide valuable information. The crew was prompt, pleasant and performed the work as quoted. Response via their website scheduling was delayed, but am told they were having issues with it which have since been resolved. Highly recommend Southern Oregon Tree Care!

Description of Work: They removed a spruce tree from the rear of my property, where it loomed over the duplexes on the next property. They cleaned up after themselves. It took them less than 2 hours start to finish. | |Southern Oregon Tree Care first sent a very sharp individual to consult with me about what I wanted done. He taught me some things and made me think about others. I was blown away by his professionalism and decided that if his bid was anywhere in the neighborhood of other bids I would pick SOTC. Luckily it was also the low bid. | |SOTC then scheduled what I wanted done, the time lag was very short. On the scheduled morning, a crew of 3 showed up at 9:00, scoped out the tree, and went to work. It was a very fast, very professional job. Again, I was totally happy with the work.

+ -1 moreThe crew was on time, effcient and careful workers, cleaned up well after themselves. this was out second time using Southern Oregon Tree Care--in the past they removed an unsightly large and damaged fruiless Mulberry and removed several stumps that the previos owner of the house left when they have a couple of trees removed.
Description of Work: We had our 40 year old large oak tree limbed up and dead wood removed from crown, and an ugly over grown bush remove from our back yard.

+ -1 moreWillie was very professional on his initial visit, taking time to understand what I needed, explaining to me what would be done, and also giving me advice on other trees on my property. On the date of service, I was initially disappointed because Willie wasn't there to do the trimming himself, but his crew did an outstanding job. The Japanese maple went from looking like "Cousin It" from the Addams Family to a beautifully shaped tree. And the crew took their time, calling Willie for advice along the way, in pulling piled-up earth away from the base of the Hinoki, revealing the roots, and judiciously pruning roots to encourage the tree to "unriddle" itself. Some months later, the Hinoki looks great.
Description of Work: Pruned a Japanese Maple Tree; helped a failing Hinoki cypress by unriddling the roots; advice on other tree care.

+ -1 morethese guys did an incredible job. there were 3 of them onsite so the job only took 5 hours. The tree went from being heavy and thick and congested with lots of deadwood to now, a beautiful, light airy, healthy tree with end weight trimmed beautifully. heavy limbs growing long into neighbor yards were selectively reduced and trimmed. And to top it off, it was a pretty quiet 5 hours. Much of the pruning was hand sawing, some chainsaw but minimal, and chipping noise went by sporadically and quickly. I would recommend Southern Oregon Tree Service 100%. Also - the estimator came and assessed the trees and promptly got an estimate to me.
Description of Work: pruned for weight reduction and deadwood on large old corkscrew willow and removed deadwood from black oak.

+ -1 moreThey did a good job with the trimming and there is a tree in the front yard which is sick, and they were supposed to take a ground sample, and try to determine what was going on with that tree. I tried to call them several times and they just said that the owner would call when he got a response but they never called me back and I just gave up. I was satisfied with the work that they did. They were fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves and cleaned up all the debris from the trees.
Description of Work: I used Southern Oregon Tree Care LLC. They trimmed the trees in the backyard because there was too much shade and there is little light getting in there now.

+ -1 moreHe came in right at his bid and underbid others. The guy is not an arborist; he is the only master arborist in Southern Oregon. He was prompt and knowledgeable. He was not willing to take advantage. He was very personable and punctual.
Description of Work: Southern Oregon Tree Care LLC cabled a huge redwood tree. We had a lot of arborea taken out in the back and they did some stump stuff as well.

Description of Work: We have 4 large Italian Cypress trees that the Starlings had decided to use as bird condo's. They were coming back every year and nesting in the tops of the trees. They are really nasty, nasty birds and was covering our whole corner with big white bird poop's on EVERYTHING. Willie came out the day after I called him and gave me a quote as to how much it would cost to wrap the trees in bird netting. He told me how much netting I needed and I ordered a special netting that I had found on the Internet that I wanted to use. As soon as the netting arrived, I let Willie know and he was here the next working day and installed it.

Prompt and detailed, they did not try to add more trees to their original estimate but I did (While you're here could you...) and they told me how much the additional work would cost before doing it. They even trimmed a willow tree that was "weeping" over the county irrigation ditch. They are highly professional, reasonable and prompt. There was no, "We'll be there between 10 and 2."
Description of Work: Trimmed trees. Many had not been touched for about 10 years.

His crew arrived promptly, asked questions, also made suggestions and were flexible i.e. "While you're here can you do this..." The willow tree was in a dangerous location so I also consider the crew to be brave! They know what they're doing. The trees were pruned professionally and they cleaned up after themselves. I am impressed!

+ -1 moreI Found Southern Oregon Tree Care in the phone book, gave them a call. We agreed to meet the following morning. He looked at the job and gave me a written quote. Two day later he showed up right on time. The two oak tree he cut down were in between two power lines and right next to a pump house and a well head. They skillfully cut the trees down piece by piece without touching any of the obsticals. Willie was very friendly and knowledgable and I will definitly call him again for tree service.
Description of Work: I had two 60 foot oak trees cut down in my front yard. As requested they just cut them down so I could cut them up for fire wood.
