Advanced Tree Service and Landscaping

The crew was wonderful - far superior than working with the actual company. They were thorough and cleaned everything up. Two of the trees "Steve" the "arborist said "the core of the trunk is dead". After removal, I checked the trunks and they looked very healthy. These were 20 foot maple trees and I was sick when I realized I'd been "misinformed". Found out later this company has a reputation for taking down perfectly good trees. I would not recommend dealing with this company because of the non-existant follow through

Showed up at 9 AM with large crew. Some of crew were being trained which was not discussed with me prior to contract. Crew in general worked well for the first 3 hours and then productivity tapered off significantly. Owner Danielson showed up at start of job, left after 2 hours and showed again at about 3 PM. I noted that some stumps still left but was told that I had gotten my money's worth. Crew did not fill holes where stumps were ground, did not clean up some of the stumps that were cut with chain saw and left my driveway a mess. So the first part of the job went well (the first 5 or 6 innings, so to speak, but the last part of the job was sloppy and incomplete per my inspection. I estimate about 3 hours of cleanup on my part as a 75 year old veteran will need to be done.

Did a good job. Cleaned up the area of limbs and brush and left the street clean. Was very professional.

The following morning the owner, Mr. Danielson, did not come himself, but sent two crew members who had no written instructions, had never been to my home, and did not appear to know what they were supposed to do. When job was explained to them by myself, they appeared un-trained in just how to go about their job. The crew of two did a very non-professional job, taking off branches of trees and bushes in a manner that led to permanent disfiguration and demise. Also they did not perform job as described by owner, Will Danielson. When owner was contacted the first evening regarding his crew's disappointing job, he did come out himself the next morning and spent a very short time explaining to crew what needed to be done and showing them how to do some trimming on a particular tree, and then he left. Later that day after job was completed according to the crew, I surveyed my yard, and was astounded as to what was done, not done, and the mess that was left. Unfortunately they did get the motor home and I did pay the difference in cash as promised. I also had another professional tree service come to give me their personal opinion on what was done. They took some pictures, and told me that I should sue him for his crews inadequate trimming. Mr. Danielson was then recontacted by myself by telephone, and then by certified mail. He ignored complaints, certified mail was returned to me unclaimed, and to this day 9-5-13, despite another re-contact within the past two months, has not responded appropriately or made any personal attempt to correct the job. He did answer my most recent phone call this summer, referred me to another crew member who was to come to my home and survey last years job, but this person too has never shown up. Very sad indeed.

They said they would be out later that same day. It was 5p when I called and then it was around 5:30p when I spoke to them again. Around 6p they came over with some family members. They seemed very rushed and did not clean up like they should of. They did not clean up everything because they were rushed. He said at the end of the service it would actually be a little more, but I told them I already had the check written out. He said that was okay and gave me some business cards to refer them.

They will do hazardous removal, pruning, shaping, spraying, stump grinding, forest management, fire fuel reduction, and mistletoe removal. They were very reasonable and efficient. They were very professional and reasonable with me.

I would not use or recommend this company ever. They do not stand by their written quotes and did not even try to finish the job. See above for the reasons.
