We built a new vacation home on the Oregon coast. West Coast Empire Homes was hired to paint the interior and exterior. All surfaces were straight paint, no faux or other more costly finishes. The work was of extremely poor quality. The exterior hose bibs were painted over, the exterior trim had heavy brush marks and looked very amateurish. We feel the hours were greatly overbilled and the $54,700.00 was charged for labor only. We paid additionally for the paint and materials. We were out of state and could not supervise and feel we were ripped off. The exterior doors were not painted or primed on the top or bottom and we live in an extreme climate for blowing rain. Some doors and windows were not primed or painted. The hinges of the primed doors and windows were covered with paint. We are presently hiring a painter to remove all doors and windows that were not painted or primed and to complete the job and remove paint on hinges. The interior walls had visible roller marks and had to be redone last spring. We would not recommend West Coast Empire Homes to anyone. For the money Tom Serna, owner, charged, we should have an excellent paint job. Instead, we got a very substandard, incomplete job.
Description of Work: We met with Tom Serna, owner. He was hired to paint the interior and exterior of our new construction home.
