Description of Work: March 11, 2009 D & T Interior Solutions Corporation 1811 NW Couch Street #405 Portland, OR 97209 RE: Contract# 010209 Dear Mr. Engerman and Mr. Lee: This letter is to notify you that I plan to file a complaint with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board thirty days after I mail this letter. That is unless the monetary resolution detailed below is met. The work that I contracted with D & T Interior Solutions on January 25, 2009 for remodeling the bathroom and other upgrades were not completed as agreed upon. On February 3, 2009 at Mr. Engerman’s request, I, in good faith, paid D & T Interiors Solutions’ final invoice in full. Mr. Engerman assured me that the job would be completed within a couple of days. The work was not accomplished. It is evident that Mr. Engerman and his crew left the job-site on February 3, 2009 and never returned. After attempting to contact Mr. Engerman by telephone without success or a returned call from him for eight straight days, I realized that my efforts were futile. On February 11, 2009, a friend checked on my condo. She found the heat turned up to 70 degrees, several window blinds left open and one broken beyond repair. The contracted work was not completed, and construction gear and garbage left behind. It was necessary for me to hire a contractor to finish the work that D & T was paid to accomplish, and to pay an electrician to repair the electrical circuit that stopped working due to D & T’s attempt to install GFI plugs. D & T Interiors owes me for reimbursement of materials and labor that was completed by these afore mentioned two contractors in the amount of $1,005.00. In addition, D & T’s negligence delayed the rental of the above property by one month and therefore is responsible for $950 of lost revenue. The revenue loss and the additional repair costs total is $1,955.00. Sincerely,
