Tim and his two-member crew were outstanding from start to finish. Project estimates were accurate and reasonable. From the beginning, Tim was professional in working with me and my architect to develop an approach to an unusual and difficult project. The most challenging part of the project -- installing a type of siding that no building contractor in the local area had ever used before -- brought out the best in him and his team. They worked closely with the architect to understand the design and desired outcome, dealt with a supplier (not of their choosing) who constantly missed deadlines and provided poorly prepared materials, and yet they made it work beautifully. He saw every obstacle as merely a challenge to be overcome with a creative solution. Coordinating work with him was easy and uncomplicated. Throughout the project from start to finish, Tim was very responsive to my calls and emails.
Most days, Tim was on the job site personally working alongside his team. All of them worked hard each and every day, showed up on time, didn't play loud music, never used foul language, and were polite, kind, thoughtful and professional craftsmen in every detail of their work. In addition to my own architect, Tim also worked well with the original architect of the house who consulted on the project, and strove to stay true to that architect's vision.
Most importantly, despite the delays caused by my suppliers, Tim and his team moved heaven and earth to meet a hard and fast deadline imposed by the bank. When it looked like I might lose the house because of these supplier delays, Tim and his crew made the phrase "Not on my watch!" their mantra and saved the day!
The quality of work was first-rate. I would definitely use Frontier Builders again and would recommend them to anyone regardless of whether the project was a small-scale renovation or a full-blown home restoration.
