The worst customer service experience in my 61 years on this planet. I've been a customer more than 30 years. About a month ago I made 3 purchases from the company (traeger grill, dishwasher, and fridge) combined total about $4,000. All was fine until the delivery of the fridge. They delivery team made significant scratches in the home door frame. I reported the damage to Jackie in the delivery dept. She checked into but never got back to me. When I called 3 weeks later she said the driver/delivery said I told him not to worry about the scratches. That Home Depot had caused the scratches on a previous delivery. This was completely false. Home Depot has never delivered anything through that door in the 1 and 1/2 years I've owned the place in Sunriver. Jackie acted like I was a liar and a scumbag and never tried to understand. I was shocked and deeply offended. I gave them several chances and over a month to do the right thing. No effort or acknowledgement on their part.
Description of Work: Delivery and installation of a fridge and a dishwasher. What I need now is an apology from the owner Jeff Jarvis and some effort to make this right. In the mean time I will continue to retell the experience over and over again. Its completely unacceptable for a long standing customer, or any customer, to be treated this way. Not to mention saying a complete falsehood about a competitor (aka defamation). The few hundred $s to fix the scratches and do what is right, compared to losing a long term, mostly happy customer, is crazy. I was ready to buy a Jenn Air cook top as soon as I figured out the venting but now I have to find another company.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. No customer support. I spoke with another dealer in Bend and was told that if Standard TV really wanted to, they could replace the range and deal with Whirlpool/Jenn Air. However, they've just left me hanging with an unusable $2,000.00 range.
Description of Work: I bought a brand new Jenn Air slide-in electric range from Standard TV & Appliance ($1,999.00). I paid for the range on February 11th, 2013 and it was delivered on February 15th 2013. I don't do a ton of cooking so I hadn't used this range all that much (the oven twice and the cooktop itself twice). The evening of February 25th I was making pasta and sauce using two of the surface elements. As I was heating the sauce and boiling the water, suddenly a bright flash streaked under the cooktop - similar to that which would be created by an electric arc. A few seconds later, a number of similar flashes appeared under the cooktop and the range went dark. Since it was later in the evening, I wasn't able to contact Standard TV until the next day - Tuesday. I called and told them what had happened and they asked me if I wanted to speak with the service department. I told them no, I wanted to speak with the salesman and I didn't want the unit "repaired" I wanted it replaced. The woman I spoke with was nice enough, but she said they would not be able to replace this unit - it would have to be serviced. The salesman was not available so I left a voice mail message and sent him an e-mail. In the meantime, I called Jenn Air Customer Care1-800-JENN-AIR (536-6247) and spoke with a representative. I told her what had happened and she said Jenn Air would not replace the unit, but would have the dealer send someone out to examine the range and identify a repair option. I told the Jenn Air rep I didn't want the unit, which had been in my house a total of 9 days when it went dead repaired, I wanted it replaced. I spent two thousand dollars on this range and I shouldn't have to be stuck with a "repaired" Jenn Air product. The rep told me that was Jenn Air's policy. Later Tuesday, the dealer called and arranged for a serviceman to come out to examine the range. He came Friday (March 1st). I explained what had happened and he examined the unit. I told him I wanted a NEW range to replace this defective unit and he agreed that if it were him, he would not want the range repaired, he would want it replaced. However, he said the dealer really had no say in how the problem was resolved and Jenn Air policy was to only "REPAIR" defective units,. The range now has to have the user interface, control board, cooktop and electrical wiring harness all replaced as the repairman said there was in fact electrical arcing under the ceran surface|. In the meantime, I'm without a range and have no idea when the situation is going to be resolved|. I've contacted my credit card company to dispute the two thousand dollar charge and they agreed I should not have to be stuck with a defective NEW range.. They have filed a dispute with the dealer and issued a temporary credit to my account|. It is now March 12, and still no word from Standard TV as to when they are going to be back out. So a word of caution to anyone considering the purchase of any Jenn Air appliance, particularly from Standard TV & Appliance - DON'T! If anything major goes wrong with your NEW Jenn Air product you're going to be stuck with a repaired unit.

We have purchased things from them in the past and we have had good luck with them. Our experience was fabulous. We would absolutely recommend them to others. We would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

This company does not stand behind the products they sell.
Description of Work: i purchase a Whirpool dishwasher less than 2years ago.yesterday i had a service tech come out because it stopped working. After five minutes the tech informed me I had better buy a new dishwasher because this one would cost too much to fix.Shocked because it was such a new appliance,I asked him if this was unusual.he said most appliances last 3-5 years and this one expired a bit early.Should have bought the extended warranty he advised. Then he charged me $75.00 for this. I immediately called Justin at the store and had the worst customer experience ever. basically, he would do nothing for me except sell me another dishwasher.told me to contact whirlpool but I would have to do it on my own. Basically not his problem and could not have cared less. Very rude on top of it all. I will never buy anything from this store again.
