Description of Work: iNSPECTED FOR AND REMOVED WATER DAMAGE DUE TO LEAKING REFRIGERATOR COMPRESSOR.

Description of Work: We had some water damage. It was regarding a restoration of the house after a pipe broke and flooded the house. They oversaw the restoration.

Description of Work: Mold remediation, reconstruction of water damage in residence including subfloor, framing, drywall, painting, tile, plumbing, electrical, carpet, finish carpentry.

Description of Work: We had a water leak in our upstairs bathroom that rained down on the kitchen below. We called Specturm and they were there within an hour and began cleaning up the mess. They completed the extensive repair and kept us appraised all along the way.

Description of Work: This past winter, our second home in Sunriver Oregon sprung a leak in a pipe caused by freezing. That evening and the following day, the Sunriver fire department pumped out 300 gallons of water (their estimate). Carpeting, vinyl floors, subflooring, drywall and baseboards throughout the 900 sq. ft. house were soaked. They all needed to be removed because of direct water damage or because of the risk of mold. Our insurance company gave us a list of three possible restoration companies to select from. We chose Spectrum after researching all three at the Oregon Construction Contractors Board website and on Angie’s list. We were glad we chose Spectrum. Matt Kraus, Production Manager at Spectrum, immediately had his crew remove furniture from the affected areas of the house. We were initially confused by this but later realized that this effort saved all of our furniture. Not a single piece of furniture was lost to water damage. The Spectrum team also removed the soaked flooring and took moisture measurements throughout the house to assess damage. We soon realized an advantage in working with local Spectrum people is that they know the insurance adjusters. Matt Kraus met the adjuster from our insurance company. They both agreed on the extent of damage and necessary repairs, so that our insurance claim was practically pre-approved by the insurance company. When time came for repairs, Spectrum asked if we wanted to upgrade any of the materials covered by our insurance. While our insurance policy covered replacement, that replacement was just for similar quality to the materials damaged. Matt informed us that we could upgrade the materials covered by insurance if we paid the incremental cost (above the amount covered by the policy). We selected better flooring at Home Depot and Spectrum was fine with procuring from there. During the repair process, Matt Kraus managed the relationships with Spectrum employees and contractors. We were spared the time of selecting and monitoring the contractors. By my estimate there were at least 7 tradesmen involved (plumber, electrician, drywall, painter, carpet installer, flooring installer and a tile installer). It would have taken significant time if we had to select and manage the efforts of these 7 people. Furthermore, our Sunriver home is a 3 hour drive from our home in Portland. Needless to say, we were grateful that Spectrum managed this for us. Once we selected the materials and the insurance company approved everything, the entire repairs occurred over a 1 month timeframe.
