Great job, hard working crew. Wonderful customer service too: after thorough cleaning on the first day they came back for free to give the place a last "sparkly" touch after all the workers had finished going in an out. Amazing! Highly recommend this provider.
Description of Work: Move out cleaning in a very, very dirty house. Great job, before and after was like night and day!

The job was not actually done...just promised.
Description of Work: Promised to do the job (cleaning a rental) and to call me back with time and day. No call back...I called her and she said she couldn't do it I lost a day and had to find someone else. She cleans for a property manager I use....usually the cleaner replaces burned out light bulbs. I found one long after she was through. Would have appreciated a simple no or too busy on the first call.

WHAT A MISTAKE! I wish I had had Angie's List as a resource before hiring Joy. Now I see that I am not the only one who has struggled with her lack of professionalism. She did fine on the house we had just bought and were moving into, granted, it was fairly clean so there was little to be done. The house were were leaving was 1200 sq. ft. and completely free of our furniture and belongings. It needed a deep clean before being handed back over to our landlords. In particular, it needed to be vacuumed/mopped, kitchen cleaned, and two bathrooms cleaned. Pretty typical job. She was late, could not find the house, and ended up needing to reschedule, which meant I had to ask our landlord to give us another few days with the house. On the day she did make it over to clean, she and a partner worked on the house for awhile, and then gave me the line about needing to charge a $40 "residual fee," because the job was taking longer than expected. The only example she could give was that there was dog hair on the baseboards. Well, yes, I had a dog, and we had been in the process of moving, so I suppose there WAS dog hair on the baseboards, but that's why I hired a housecleaner. Like the previous reviewer, she made me feel embarrassed about the "state" of the house. I caved and paid her the extra $40. It made me angry, though, since we had been living in the house and showing it to prospective tenants; so it really was in pretty good shape, and certainly not out of the ordinary for a healthy, lived-in home.
Description of Work: I hired Joy/Sparkle Cleaning for a move in/move out clean - she cleaned our new house before we moved in, and our old house after we moved out.

They misrepresented the price. Their professionalism was poor. I will not use them again in the future.

I wanted to have my house cleaned in preparation for the having family in town for the holidays. I contacted a few cleaning services on Craigslist and went with one that advertised a $99 "Deep Clean Special." The two women from Sparkle Cleaning showed up 15 minutes late, and my house is quite simple to find, on a main road. While they were professional at first, when I took them around the house, one of them started grumbling under her breath about the condition of the tub. The tub has not been in the best of shape since I bought the house last year, but it had been scrubbed thoroughly less than a month prior, so it was not unusually dirty. I immediately started to feel embarrassed about the state of my house, as they both continued to make inappropriate comments under their breath. Nonetheless, they got started and once I was sure they didn't have any questions, I left to run errands. When I returned a little more than one hour later, the woman who seemed to be the owner (Joy) said she had some bad news. She said they "only have to do this in 10% of cases" but that my house was so bad they would have to charge me a $40 "residual fee." This was the first I had heard of any such fee, and I had already written them a check for their services (plus a decent tip) in case I wasn't home before they left. She even went so far as to say that the dirt in my utility sink (which ends up there after every load of laundry because of the way my washer drains) was a danger to her personal health. I stood my ground (although really I was fighting back tears) and said that while I thought they had done a good job so far, they should disclose the potential for a fee before they start a job. She then consulted with her partner, who said she was "almost done" and said that while they wouldn't charge me the fee, they would not be able to offer me service again. They then rushed through the front area of my house without dusting or completing the services that were supposed to be included in the "Deep Clean Special" such as cleaning the baseboards. Once they heard I wasn't going to pay the fee, they were out of there in less than 15 minutes. Overall, this was a humiliating experience, and I found the conduct of the two women to be completely unprofessional and rude. Unless you enjoy being lectured about the state of your house when you hire people to clean it, I would not recommend you hire Sparkle Cleaning. UPDATE: I have checked back on craigslist and discovered this notice regarding Sparkle Cleaning: BE AWARE-THIS COMPANY IS NOT LICENSED OR INSURED. THEY ARE CRIMINALS FROM LAS VEGAS. PLEASE BE ADVISED THEY SHOULD NOT BE CONTACTED FOR SERVICES.
