MUDDY RIVER DESIGN

Take your Chances! We signed an agreement with Adam at Muddy River to design a new home for us with the understanding that the basic design would be substantially completed within three months. Progress was unbelievably slow. Excuses were endless. After three months we didn’t even have an acceptable floor plan. In the end, this ineffective and unprofessional process cost us an entire building season. We will move into our new home a full year later than planned and incur significant additional costs as construction prices continue to increase. During the three months we worked with Muddy River Design we received only three revisions of a basic floorpan that didn’t even include dimensions or elevations. Finally, Adam told us that he had accepted several much larger jobs right after accepting our project and that he really didn't have time for our job. Sadly it took him three months to admit he didn’t have the time/energy/determination or professionalism to honor his commitment. We agreed to part ways and he left us with a worthless set of crude and incomplete floor plans. Adam repeatedly told us our expectations were unrealistic. I don’t think so. We have since started work with a new designer. The difference is incredible. Plans are far far more sophisticated and provide a much greater level of detail including multiple elevations and all the dimensions you might want. Comments are incorporated and revised plans returned within a week. That’s right. A week not a month. In only three weeks we have made far greater progress than we achieved in three entire months attempting to work with Muddy River Design.
