Mountain Air Furnace & Duct Cleaning operates a truck-mounted power vac. These have been manufactured by Tim's dad in Walla Walla, WA for over 50 years, Harold's Power-Vac. Tim began work with his dad as a kid in high school until 1999 when we moved to Bend, OR to go into business for ourselves.
We offer an entire furnace & duct cleaning. Tim starts out by running a 10 inch pipe directly from the furnace to the truck, thus sucking the dirt and debris directly into the truck during the cleaning process. Once he has the suction at the furnace he goes around to all the registers, the ones usually in the floor and is cleaning all the corresponding duct-work back to the furnace. The same process is repeated on the cold air intake. Once the duct work is cleaned tim will clean everything inside the furnace, coils, fans and housing. Virtually anything your air is flowing over will be cleaned. That's why we call it an entire system cleaning.
It will take approximately 3-4 hours to clean a 2,000 square foot house. To maintain an abosolute fixed price we charge by the register. That way no matter how long it takes the price will never change. NO hidden costs and no surprises.
We are also throwing in cleaning the dryer vent at no charge. This is an added bonus for our valued customers.
We also offer a sanitizer and deodorizer that can be fogged throughout the entire system. We use Envirocon. This is recommended whenever you experience critter debris. A small fee is charged for this service. See on us FACEBOOK

Residential and commercial cleaning of the entire furnace and duct work. We clean gas, electric and oil furnaces
We had just moved into a house that was 10 years old. The previous owner had cats and dogs and we don't know if the ducts had ever been cleaned. Tim came out and did a wonderful thorough job. He even found that several of our vents had been covered inside by the previous owners or stuffed with paper towels. He was efficient and he does his job well.

They were able to schedule our work on short notice, due to a cancellation, which was really helpful. Jim and Tim were great to work with and were very professional, worked quickly, and had extremely fair pricing that was easy to understand ($25.00 / vent). They did a very thorough job and were easy to work with. I am very happy that we found them and I would not hesitate to hire them again.
Description of Work: They cleaned the duct work and two furnaces in our 2800 square foot home.

Tim was courteous and helpful. He arrived early because he knew I needed to get to work, performed the work for the price he estimated and did a thorough job. He was personable and helpful. The connector hose he used did scuff up a window sill but other than that, everything went very well. I would certainly call him again if I needed help with air ducts or vents.

Mountain Air was recommended by a Bend HVAC company. When I called to get an estimate to clean the ducts in our vacation home I was given a very thorough description of the process and what the work would entail. They charge a fixed rate of $25 per register so I knew immediately what it would cost. The owner and a helper arrived in their custom fabricated truck on time. They first prepped all registers by removing them and vacuuming the register boxes out. They then opened the furnace and attached a 12" diameter hose to the return compartment and connected it to their truck. The truck is basically a huge vacuum cleaner that can draw a tremendous volume of air. I was concerned that the flex-ducting under my house would collapse under such a vacuum but I was assured that had never happened. Before the truck was started, a window was opened in the house to make sure sufficient air flow was provided to satisfy the draw from the truck, and all but one register was sealed by simply putting a piece of newspaper over it. When the truck started running, I immediately began hearing debris moving from inside the furnace into the hose. The house is 9 years old and there was a considerable amount of construction debris throughout the entire system and it immediately started making its way to the truck. The important point about their method is that they always maintained negative pressure in the house. At no time could any dust they were knocking free ever get into the living space. They used compressed air and a variety of gadgets to knock the dust free from the insides of each duct at the register opening. According to the owner, the air flow is sufficient to strip and scour all the dust off the duct walls once the dust and dirt at the top of the duct is knocked loose and makes it way down the duct. They were reaching about 2-3' into the duct with the compressed air nozzles. They also had a long hose outfitted with rotating nozzle and a piece of surgical tubing attached that was fed into the return vent. That hose went 10-12 feet into the return duct. Now for the fun part. I was amazed at how much stuff came out of my system; it was a constant flow of heavy dust and debris for the next 3 hours. It is no wonder my wife and I were constantly congested when we stayed at the house. They spent a long time cleaning the furnace itself, as well as the filters and air conditioning heat exchangers. They were pulling large chunks of construction debris out of the furnace for at least 20 minutes. They also cleaned out my dryer vent and hose for no charge. Before they closed up the furnace, they turned it on to make sure everything was operational. After they left I turned on the heat long enough to get the fan running and was greeted with clean fresh air, no funny smells, and not a hint of dust. Most importantly, after being in the house for the whole weekend my sinuses were not stopped up, which was the first time ever while running the furnace. The crew was professional, eager to communicate about what they were doing, and took considerable pride in a job well done. I highly reccommend Mountain Air.
Description of Work: All furnace duct work was cleaned, and the interior of the furnace was cleaned.
