Description of Work: He installed sturdy fence wiring around the lower periphery of my fence to stop my dog from clawing and chewing her way through the wooded fence slats. He also cleaned my gutters that were clogged with leaf and debris.

Description of Work: Hired Mike again to do several small jobs including installing towel racks, reparing a leaking shower head, installing a new faucet, and install a new hanging light fixture to name a few. All were done well and cost was very affordable. Will always call Mike first. If it's not a job he feels best qualified to do, he will let you know and can possibly refer you to someone else. Great job as always and he's a real nice guy too.

Description of Work: Mike put together a bunkbed set that we ordered online from College Bed Lofts. It's solid wood bed that has a 1,000 lb weight limit per bed. It was not some crappy prefab bed. The bed came in six boxes and had vague (at best) instructions. After watching a brief video on the website, Mike said he could put it together without a problem. I felt relieved because I had previously hired two guys to do the job on the previous Saturday, but after seeing the boxes and instructions, they claimed it would be an all day job and rescheduled for four days after the initial appointment. On the day they were suppose to return, I called to confirm their arrival time, and they said they weren't sure they could do it that day. That's when I got on Angie's List and found Mike. He was on his way to another job and said he'd call me that night. He called as promised and scheduled the appointment for two days later. I was pleased. I also had a six-drawer dresser in a box and a five-shelf bookshelf that I needed put together too. Those other guys also quoted me an additional day for the dresser as they felt it would be extremely difficult to put together as well. Mike showed up promptly at 10am as he promised. He watched the online video and went straight to work. He started by organizing the multitude of parts and lumber. In just a few minutes, he had the base for the bed standing in the room. Given the ordeal with the previous guys claiming it would take the two of them a full day to put it together, I was impressed to see Mike had it looking like a bed in a matter of a few minutes. It ultimately took him a little over two hours to completely assemble. Again, I was impressed. The video said it would take two people approximately 1.5 hours to assemble. Mike did it alone in two. After finishing the bed, he immediately started on the dresser. Again, he laid all the parts out, and then quickly had that put together too. He then put together the bookshelf. He was done at 2:30.

Description of Work: Replaced a ceiling fan, and a dining room light fixture.

Description of Work: Replaced door bell. Repaired ceiling fan (wobbled and clicked).Repaired kitchen faucet.

Description of Work: I used Mikes Household Tune Ups to install some blinds and a ceiling fan.

Description of Work: Mike helped design and implement our new laundry room. We talked about what I wanted. Then he suggested places where I could check out cabinetry/plumbing supplies. He took out a counter top that was no longer needed and helped prepare the room for its make-over. He suggested that the cabinetry supplier may be able to do the installation for less money than he could because they have tools he doesn't have which meant they could do the work faster and therefore, for less money. After the cabinets where installed, Mike installed the counter top for the cabinet that was to hold the sink, as well as the sink/plumbing. He also changed out a cabinet that was the wrong size and re-installed the proper one. Throughout the job he was available for suggestions about how to accomplish what we wanted for the least money.
