Within three weeks the glass self distrusted, even though I kept the iPad in it's protective case & "treated it with kid gloves", never even took the iPad out of my house. My take on this is that Apple uses a high tech piece of glass on the iPad, & MACTEK, obviously uses an inferior, less expensive glass. When I called MACTEK, they agreed to fix my iPad for an additional $90.00. What they did is put a piece of glass in that was & still is fractured along the lower edge of of the iPad. I took the iPad back three times over a two week period, & each time they never replaced the glass. What they did do is file the glass, polish it & ??????. I finally got sick of dealing with them after spending $265.00 for what I consider a rip off. So I spent another $735.00, & purchased a new iPad Air. March 23.2014 Since posting my original review of my experience with the above vendor, he has contacted me & more then made amends for my initial business dealings with his company. Not only did he offer a written apology, but he also offered me a $100.00 gift certificate on any future repairs. Would I use his services again, yes, by all means. I consider his intent to be sincere, & more then appreciate his willingness to reach out to me and make amends.
