 + -1 moreCalled Land Effects to replace a sprinkler controller, a pretty simple task. I was a previous customer. Did not ask for a quote but I did check with local plumbing supplier ($150) and an internet search ($122) for replacement costs for controller which would have cost no more than $150 full retail. Got a huge surprise when bill received. Was charged $414.06 for replacement controller plus 2 hours labor at $150, a reasonable hourly rate, but should not have taken them 2 hours to connect 7 wires in exact same order as the unit they were replacing. A 2.75 times markup on supplies is unreasonable. Unfortunately, they also took with them a yard irrigation map used by my yard maintenance workers that was clearly present in the old controller. workers.

 + -1 moreWe stopped in at Land Effects and explained to them what was happening with our system. From our description they figured out a likely cause, and had someone out to fix it that same day. This is our first year with an irrigation system so we are still learning. Brian and his crew have been very helpful and professional in all of our dealings with them. This problem was covered under warranty as we had purchased the system from them eleven months prior.

Description of Work: Was on a waiting list with another provider since February for yard spring clean up to be done by mid April. But by end of April they never called, when I called them they were not able to do our yard at all. Bailed on us. | |We needed spring clean up badly because we have our house on the market and a dormate Lawn can look "dead" to a out of town buyer. We did lose a serious buyer because our yard looked "dead". | |I was calling all over trying to get our yard done, but everyone was booked up. |Then I saw the Land Effects truck parked across the street mowing our neighbor's yard (who uses them for regular weekly service), got a card from workers and called their office. The manager came out the same day, quoted me (within reason of other yard clean up we have done before). They were prompt and very professional. | |It was the height of their busy season with everyone needing "spring yard cleanup", they were backed up like all the other lawn service companies. |But he understood we had our house for sale and yard needed to look nice, so he rearranged the schedule, and got a crew to me in less than 5 business days! | |They showed up when promised, did a wonderful job and the work was as agreed upon. They got a life long customer out of me because they really went out of their way to help us. If our next house has a big enough yard, we will be hiring them for regular lawn service in a heartbeat! I would recommend them to anyone.

Once work schedule was established, work was completed in a timely manner even though staff were called away on several occasions to undertake emergency repairs elsewhere. All work was completed as requested and agreed upon.

He worked with the deck builder and coordinated his crew to take advantage of available time to get the project completed for us to enjoy. We were very satisfied with our service and would not hesitate to recommend this company for any landscaping work from the initial plan to full implementation. A+ from our perspective.

 + -1 moreThey were great. I didn't have any dislikes about them. The things that I like about them was they have very creative designs. They were very responsive and communicative. They were very clear on what our budget was and came in very close to that. I think the most outstanding was during the work, they kept the job site very clean and it's really nice to have the job done with them so professionally.

 + -1 moreMatt is very accommodating, and I thought his pricing was reasonable compared to other services I have used in the past. He double checked on his crew, then he check with me to see if they needed to came back for anything. I will be using Land Effects in the future.
Description of Work: I use Land Effects for lawn care services. They were here last April, and they did the annual Spring clean up. They thatched and aerated the lawn, in addition to the usual mowing, and edging.
