Eric came to me at the Post Office to offer landscaping services. He submitted a bid. I got approval for the work. He asked for the price of materials up front. Since he was local and starting out, I went out on a limb and paid him for materials. He didn't show up for a few weeks, so I called him. He said he would be out that week. I came to work in late September to see trenches dug for irrigation. Two weeks went by and he didn't show. I called him and he said he'd be out Wednesday. Wednesday never came, evidently. Since the trenches were a liability in a place of business, I attempted several more times to contact him. In December, I had to hire another contractor to finish the job. I am out the cost of materials and will probably have to pay for them personally.
Description of Work: Growing Pains Landscaping was paid up front for materials. The only work performed was digging trenches for irrigation. The trenches were left uncovered at a business from September to December. The contractor never brought materials and did not return phone calls. I had to hire another contractor to cover the trenches and do the project.
