The house was painted in the fall of 2005. By January of 2006, the front steps leading to the front door were starting to wear to the bare wood. These steps were not worn at the time the house was painted but was painted along with the rest of the house to fit with the rest of the color scheme and to keep them fresh. There was also cracking of the paint by spring, 2006, on the south side. We sanded, primed and painted the front steps. At the time we sold the house in August 2006, the steps were still in good shape. I spoke with Mr. Newman in April 2006 regarding the problems and he said he would call me later that week to arrange a time to come and look at the south side of the house. I never heard from him. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Mr. Newman responded but offered no attempt to resolve the situation. Other contractors who worked on the house; i.e., electrician, stated the house had not been properly primed as the paint was easily marred.
