He asked me what my dollar limit was for repairs and we discussed the facts that he'd change the oil, put a new air filter on it and see what else it needed. he said it would be done by next Tuesday and he'd call if it ran over $100. He called me on Monday afternoon, a day early, and said it was ready. I got there to learn that they'd re-built the carb, changed the engine and gear oil, air filter and even got me a new gas cap since the other was broken. It cost a total of $98. When we went to load it in the back of my truck a second fellow magically appeared, I swear I never saw or hear him coming, and the two of them placed it in my truck. This is my new go to place for small engines. I have had a great deal of mediocre service with other providers repairing other engines I have around town and never felt great about the service. Here, I do. Easy as that.

Very fast turnaround.

In order to add a magneto to a previously pointed engine, one needs to re-polarize the flywheel,(older engines, before 1979) these guys put on the magneto and did not re-polarize the flywheel. After a month of a crappy running tractor, I contacted Brigs and Stratton and they informed me of the problem. An error that I think is just a matter of research, not rocket science. I finished the work myself.

Snowblower gears stopped working. Unable to use our snowblower on one of the biggest snow storms of the year. Called Gary's small engine and tool repair and they said bring it on in. Within 24hrs, our snowblower was fixed and ready to go. What a releaf. After calling a few other stores, we were told the snow blower was to old to fix and that they wouldn't be able to get parts and that we should just dump it ant get a new snowblower. Thanks to the crew at Gary's we did not have to spend thousands to get a new one.
