Franco Painting

The stain was sprayed on to our home and some areas did not get complete coverage. We agreed to pay $150 extra to have another coat applied on one side and to correct some other areas. The painting around the windows looked messy on the caulk lines and I asked them to come back and tidy up. After about one month we started getting major bubbling around some windows and on part of the house wood trim. A crew came out and sanded, applied primer and repainted. The bubbling came back immediately and the owner Todd Franco had a paint rep come from Denfield Paints. Franco Painting said they had done everything correctly, even though our home looked awful, and would only continue to work to correct the problem if we paid them more per hour (at a discounted rate). We felt they should complete the project (we had paid them in full). Todd blamed the painter who had originally painted our home and said he had painted over contaminated wood. Our home was built in 2006 and had not been painted since. I am not a painting expert, but common sense tells me the original paint job was done correctly. Denfield Paints have given us a gallon of slow drying oil primer and another coat of paint. We will work to correct the problem ourselves. It's unfortunate that Franco Painting was not willing to go the extra step to keep a satisfied customer and I'm sure they will lose jobs because of this negative review. They were recommended by Crystal Lakes Management Company as one of their preferred painters, but have now been removed from that list. In addition they had given us a quote to do our other home in Lava Ridges next year, but we will never use them again.
