Bend Lock & Safe Inc

I went to Bend Lock & Safe just yesterday to get a hopefully secure chain and lock for my fat-tire Ebike, after they were recommended by Nextdoor Neighbor as being honest and helpful. A young man, Jimmy, helped me and was very nice. I was all set to give a good review until my husband found the EXACT same ABUS lock (83CS/50) online today for under $25. I wanted to support local vs ordering online but not at the ridiculous mark-up that BL&S charges. I paid $77.45 just for the lock-not including the chain. Also, the box my lock came in has a sticker of $65.30, which I didn't realize until today🤔. So I was overcharged $12.15 on the ABUS lock ... aside from the crazy mark-up. I also thought the display price BL&S has of the chain samples included the cloth protective sleeve, as I saw no mention o it not being a "unit" price, but that's an extra charge I wasn't expecting. I realize that BL&S is a business, and businesses have a mark-up,but that's a ridiculous percentage and I feel ripped off and scammed and feel like returning the whole set-up. Now I don't even feel sure that I was guided correctly to a good secure chain and lock set up.😥

Fixed problem

Fantastic. In 20 minutes I had a new lock and 6 keys. The fellow was friendly and fun to talk to. I've always gone to their store to get keys made. This was the first time I've had to have them out to the house. Would easily use them again.

Wow! This is a service provider that goes the extra mile! They looked at the door, and figured out that the reason the lock was working poorly was because the door was sagging a little. They fixed the door by putting new screws in the hinge plates designed to resist movement even when jiggled. Even with the alignment fix the knob had just taken too much and was worn out. However, instead of replacing the whole thing, and charging me more they just replaced the mechanism that had worn out, saving me money. While they were at it, they rekeyed the door to match my front door, and made me a new original key for the front door. (I'd been working off a copy of a copy for several years). They charged a little extra for that. Of course the dead bolt works perfectly too. The whole thing only cost $121. Even if they cost more than the competition, I'd go back to Bend Lock and Key because they do it right.

Everything was good about the last experience. I give him all A's and will use him again in the future.

Contractor reviewed existing hardware and proposed lockset solutions. Arrived timely. Staff professional and competent. No surprises. Costs reasonable with high quality work. Recommend without reservation.

They were on time, friendly and helped me move heavy furniture. I would highly recommend them.

Bend Lock and Safe were very helpful. They did some extra stuff without being asked that I didn't know needed to be done and didn't charge us for it.
