Alpine Pest Management

I was extremely pleased with Alpine Pest Management. They came out to our house, identified the access point for the termites, and proposed a very affordable, focused solution directed to that area. Work went exactly as described. they drilled holes into my slab where there was evidence of termite activity, poured chemical down those holes so that the termites would pass through it and carry the poison back to the colony, and then filled the holes when done. the work was neat and tidy, and at least thus far no further signs of termite activity. They could have treated around the whole perimeter of the house, but the guy who came out, Mike, noted that it would cost considerably more and he didn't think it was really necessary. As he said, they could always come back and treat more of the house if I found problems elsewhere. He also reassured me that these subterranean termites work very slowly and my house wasn't going to suffer major damage in the week it took to get someone out there to do the work. By contrast, we talked to another company that wanted to charge me anywhere from $7000 - $13,000 to treat every wall in the house and protect me not just from termites, but from every other possible pest that might someday become an issue for me. They would then guarantee the house forever, so long of course as I paid their annual maintenance fee. And they left the not so subtle message that my house could be about to crumble to the ground if I didn't act right away. The contrast with Alpine Pest Management was staggering. I would gladly use their services again and highly recommend them to others.

Service was explained and promptly arranged. Coty sealed entrances to our crawl space, set traps, and inspected. No more mice after the first visit!

Perfectly done in both cases. He also sealed a hole in our second story wall that was a construction flaw and made a metal mesh lid for an underground pipe that comes up underneath our house. This was an extra step on a separate visit to keep mice and rats out of the house. He really went above and beyond for all that he did at our house for a reasonable price.

Sean was excellent in addressing my spider problems inside and outside my house, including in the attic and crawl space as well as assessing and fixing mice access points and setting traps in my house and garage. Highly recommend them. Very fairly priced, professional and knowledgeable.

They came out and were very open and honest about what might be beneficial and what we didn't need to worry about or spend money on. They checked the entire perimeter of the house and filled any spots that rodents might be able to get through. They then went in the crawl space under the house to check, and indeed found more evidence. Then they did a perimeter spray for spiders and ants. They were very helpful in getting us acclimated to our new place and sharing information. We appreciate their philosophy about using as few chemicals as possible and instead looking for how to keep pests away in the first place. We felt so good about their service we set up a twice yearly inspection.

They came in and not only checked for pests, but plugged holes where pests might come in and pointed out some other things I should have checked around the house. We are new to the area and the service person also gave us some valuable tips for weatherizing.

Mike, the exterminator, was punctual, through, informative and friendly. Two trips were involved. One to seal pest entry ways and one to check traps. Very pleasant transaction from beginning to end.

Alpine provided professional service from start to finish. Not only did they deal with the primary issue of termites but provided information to help us prevent other pests from possibly invading the home.

Glenn came and baited our land around our house. He spent a lot of time examining the area to do his best. The next day, we had a huge BBQ and we didn't even see a Bee. With many children and grandchildren running around, I was concerned about bees but we had absolutely no problem. If your having an outside event at all, take the precaution to call Glenn, He'll take care of you and your home

We had observed squirrels carrying nest material onto our roof and were concerned that they might be entering the house thru the roof area. Mike inspected the roofand found no evidence of intrusion. He did not charge us for the inspection. We'll certainly call him the next time we have pest problems.

They were incredibly polite and very professional. I hired them 'after' I hired another company that was only out to rip me off so I was nervous about hiring another company but Alpine put my concerns at ease. I highly recommend them.

We have used Alpine for years. They are outstanding and trustworthy. They are versed in all forms of pests from bugs to critters.

I just moved into what I thought was my dream home in beautiful Powell Butte, Oregon. To my horror I found the kitchen infested with c*** roaches. The home appeared so clean, I did not do a pest inspection. BIG MISTAKE. I asked everyone I meet about cockroaches in Central Oregon. No one had heard of them locally. My neighbor recommended Alpine. I looked them up on Angie's list and saw they had an A rating, so called them. They could not believe I had roaches in a private home. They were a little slow in responding until I sent them pictures to prove it. Mike came out. He was very nice and professional. He answered my questions about other pest signs around my home. He told me the droppings on my porch were from bats and frogs, not rats; but rats would start to appear as the weather grows colder. The bad news was roaches are not easily convinced to leave. We had to vaccate our house for 6 days so the pesticides he put out would not harm the dogs or us. When I returned, the majority of the cockroaches were gone. Glenn, the owner, came out about 2 weeks later to put out more deterents. He explained roaches have 4 life cycles and it takes time to terminate all 4. It has been about a month now, and I still find evidence of them in the kitchen. As a result, even though I have lived in the house 5 weeks, I still have not made much use of the kitchen. I store no food or kitchen items there. Theirnumbers are decreasing enough, that I have hopes of their deappearing altogether shortly. Removal of c*** roaches is a lesson in patience, I do not believe another company would be doing any better job than Alpine is doing.

He's a nice guy and very professional. They were pretty straight forward and they did an excellent job. I was pleasantly surprised about their prices. It didn't take them long to come out and they did the job in a timely manner.
