A&M Painting, LLC is a two person partnership consisting of Andrew Junker and Mark Stephenson. We have more years of experience than we'd like to admit to and we hold to a high standard of excellence. Our reputation is important to us and we work hard to maintain it. We find that it is just easier to do a good job-for us as well as our clients.
We are familiar with all the basic challenges of interior and exterior painting, but we are also lead paint certified, experienced in artistic finishes, and knowledgeable in the use and availability of environmentally friendly products.
Very unprofessional. Reviewed my project in January, 2018. Contract signed in February. Called in April and was told that I was on their calendar for April 25. Spent a week emptying and cleaning the rooms, filling nail holes, etc. Called on April 23 to check on timing, and was told that they were swamped with work and would not get to me until May. Kept being put off, apparently due to a job that took longer than estimated (required three coats of paint and five extra days). Finally, said they would start on May 11 and finish in two days (Friday-Saturday). Original estimated time was a week. Was told that my job had better not require more than one coat of paint. Really????. Was asked if the owner (Mark) could bring his dog. I have a young dog that is not calm and well-behaved around strange dogs, so I suggested it was not a good idea. Mark was huffy about that. Really???? Unfortunately, I had out-of-town company visiting that weekend. I had already told my old friends that they couldn't stay at my house, due to the uncertain painting schedule, but I did want to spend time with them. So, I called Mark back and asked if they could start on Monday, instead of Friday. He was very rude and said they would not do the job at all. "Call me in the fall." No chance of that! So, due to Mark's over-commitment, poor scheduling, underestimation of a job, and bad temper, I am living with two empty rooms and piles of stuff in my dining room for the foreseeable future. He might be a great painter, but is the worst businessman I have encountered in 35 years of home ownership. It is certainly not very professional to take your problems out on clients. I definitely do NOT recommend A & M Painting, Bend, OR.

They did a great job. They were respectful and kept the work site neat. They were very good about checking in and asking for and accepting feedback. I enjoyed having them work on our home.
