"Matthew Atchison".

We hired Matthew Atchison to build a retaining wall and fence at our residence. Although the price was fair and the quality of work was adequate (there are some issues with job) we experienced many issues with Matthew throughout the project. He was four hours late the first day he was scheduled to start work. He was combative when we attempted to address the issue. The first week of work he only showed up a few hours a day and didn’t show up at all somedays without communication. He asked to be paid prior to Christmas even though the job was not complete. He didn’t finish multiple items within the contract and the last tasks he completed where lacking attention to detail. We provided him with 90% of the payment as a gesture of kindness. He and his wife then proceed to harass my husband and I on Christmas eve to give him cash because he did not have bank account and he needed the money that day. Payment in cash was not in the contract and the contract stated the final payment would not be provided until the job was complete (which it was not). My husband and I choose to complete the reminder of the work ourselves due to the lack of responsibility, professionalism and accountability from Matthew.
