Mark and his crew were on time, and went right to work. They started by limbing out the tree, then with the aid of a 40 ton crane, removed section s of the tree starting with the crown. The whole neighborhood was out taking videos and pictures. It was an event. His crew went the extra mile and loaded up a separate trailer for us with the giant last cut of the tree. It was 5500 lbs and it was going to be taken to a small saw mill . They carefully stacked all the "rounds" in an area that would not block the driveway, the street, or damage the lawn. At the end, they cleaned the grounds, and they even gave us the name of a good company to "grind" the stump. Mark's company did not have a grinder big enough to tackle the five-foot diameter stump. Westside Tree was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. They, did, however, make use feel they were the most competent. As it turns out, they were.

We used them recently. They showed up on time and did what we asked plus a few extras for a very fair price. Mark is a very nice person to deal with.

Mark and 3 employees showed up right on time and went right to work. It was very impressed with their skill and safe work habits. They carefully removed all of the trees while being very careful not to damage the fence or fruit trees that were under them. They also removed all of the wood and limbs. The neighbors whose yard and fence the trees were leaning over were very happy with the results and so was I. I also want to mention that Mark's crew were all very friendly and helpful. It was obvious that they were friends and enjoyed working together.

Mark was very responsive to my email and getting me an estimate quickly. The cost estimate was very reasonable (as compared to what my neighbor recently paid to have a huge pine removed). The crew came on time, were professional and did a fantastic job (amazing really!) in cutting down the huge pine tree in the front yard, as well as grinding the huge stump and chipping up the branches. They took great care to ensure there was no damage to my house and other plants in close proximity to the huge pine, as well as to my neighbor's house and fence when trimming up the big oak tree in the back yard. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. I called Mark a couple of weeks afterward because I wanted to plant a new tree in the front garden (and had dug out most of the pine shavings) and there was a hunk of that pesky stump left, and he was at the house in 30 minutes and did more stump grinding, now that's service! I've used Westside Tree prior to this work and will continue to use Mark and his crew for tree services, they are the best!

I contacted Mark by email requesting a bid to remove two pine trees from our front yard. He responded in a couple of days and the job was scheduled. The crew arrived on time and quickly took down the two trees, chipped the branches and left the cut-up trunks for firewood. While they were here I asked Mark if they had time to also remove a large unhealthy shrub, which they did. Ground that stump also, and they cleaned up all the debris. Very professional job and easy to work with.

Great - they showed up on time, got it all done efficiently, and were packed up and gone before the trick or treaters started coming around!.

We had a number of trees that were either dying (rotted core), listing a bit far, or preventing sunlight from reaching the grass. These folks worked pretty much the entire day taking down several trees. They did an excellent job and placed the cut wood in locations that would not harm the lawn. I was very pleased with the service and will definitely call them again if we need more tree work.

Called Mark, left a message, he returned our call the next day. He came the next day to give us an estimate to trim and shape our 50 ft rare Golden Elm tree. We scheduled an appointed for the work to be completed, it was completed as planned, guys were professional, price was as quoted...they do a wonderful job. We will use them in the future for our tree trimming and shaping needs.

It seemed like the job was done in a hurry. There are some broken and dead branches hanging from the trees. The curly willow has small branches that should have been removed and some of the branches are hanging close to the house. The pear tree still looks out of shape. The same job done by his crew 2 years ago was done well.

Mark of Westside Tree came out promptly and provided the lowest of three bids I requested. He was able to get a crew out here within ten days. They did a great job, removing most of the trees the first day, finishing the following day. Stump grinding took the remainder of that day and was completed on day three. Quite a lot of work. One mishap involving a branch falling on our fence was repaired promptly. Clean up was great. They recommended that I advertise on Craigs list and several people came for the excess wood

It was great! They arrived on time. They have great communication and did a very professional job. The clean-up was good, and we would surely use their services again. They are wonderful to work with in all kinds of weather. All in all, a great experience with a great of tree in the yard that will not be a problem for a long time.

The crew was great, very nice to work with and they did what we asked and didn't mind us directing the trimming a bit. We appreciated how well they cleaned up after they were done.

It went great. They were lower priced by a few hundred dollars that other quotes I got but after checking Angie's list decided to give them a try. They worked us in even though they had a tight schedule. 5 of them showed up and got the whole job done in approx. 2 hours. Cut the big tree with no damage to plants and shrubs, stacked the wood, ground the stump down and got some big roots. They listened to make sure they did exactly what we wanted on trimming the others. Great Job

Appointment setting up estimate visit was delayed by phone tag issues. Mark arrived on time, on a Saturday to provide an estimate for the job. Once I decided to go with Mark and his company a date and time was arranged for the work. They arrived earlier than scheduled which was just fine. The tree between me and the neighbor was brought down rather quickly and uneventful. Relying and my wife and I, Mark took the time to talk through what we wanted done with the trees in the backyard, also including members of his crew. They took care to note where sprinkler heads were, even moving yard decorations away from the work site. At one point we are called out to check on their progress and see if we were satisfied with the job thus far. After a few minutes of discussing what else needed to be trimmed or cut they proceeded with the job. Within 3.5 hours the job was completed, and the work areas were cleaned up.

They were very prompt and professional.

Both guys were very professional - the type of people you WANT to come work on your property. They were very friendly and respectful and did wonderful work and cleaned up beautifully afterwards!

Workers arrived on time. Introduced themselves. Explained what they needed to do. They were very proffessional in their attitude. Removed the tree cut into segments for my usage. They did have to return the next day to finish grinding the stump. Arrived when they said they would. Straight to work and completed in a timely fashion.

Unbelievable experience with Mark and the crew at Westside Tree. Called on Monday morning after deciding I wanted a tree taken down prior to a new roof being put on in a week. I knew it was a tight window to get it done and most of the other places I called would not be able to get me a bid until later in the week. Mark called me back on his cell phone by 9 AM and was fortunately in my area - within an hour I had a bid over the phone and the opportunity to have the tree removed that afternoon ! The price was fantastic and I told them to proceed. I arrived home at lunch and the 4-man crew had already started. Mark and I reviewed my landscape and made plans for additional pruning down the road when their schedule allowed. In addition to the 50' pear tree the crew removed, Mark also did some serious pruning to an overgrown plum tree that was overhanging the roof and clogging up gutters. The crew was fast and efficient - picked up all the loose debris - and respected our landscaping and exterior lighting. By 3 PM the crew was completely finished, cleaned up, and on to the next job. I did not need the logs but a friend wanted them - so Mark's crew cut the entire tree into firewood sized pieces that were easily loaded into my truck for delivery. Exceeded my expectations in every way. I'm sure Mark would tell you that it was clearly fortunate they were in my area, and happened to have an opening that afternoon - but give him a call and see what he can do for you. You will not be disappointed.

This is the 2nd time I have used Westside and I am totally pleased with them again. Mark is a very down to earth and conscientious guy. His bids are detailed, very reasonable and are always right on with the final price. The crew is great and shows care to not damage surrounding plants and landscape. They cut all large limbs for firewood and completely clean and leaf blow the area when done.

This is the second time we have used them. It's pretty painless and easy to do business with them. They called back a day after initial call. They came the next day to provide an estimate. They were a week out for bookings but we scheduled for a particular day.. They showed up when promised, did the work as agreed. Finished when promised. They are very professional.

Service was prompt and professional. They provided excellent consultation ahead of time with concrete recommendations and alternatives which were responsive to our preferences. No impact on the property including some challenging trees close to the house. I'm keeping their card handy for any future needs or referrals.

We moved into an older home with mature large trees that hadn't been trimmed for quite some time. Some of the tree limbs posed a danger over the roof of our house and our insurance company required us to do some limb removal. We met and received 3 estimates and chose to go with Westside. Mark (the owner) gave a competitive estimate with excellent knowledge of what needed to happen and pointed out other issues that we may want to consider in the future. We felt confident and comfortable hiring Westside Tree and Land Co for the job and we were not disappointed. Mark and his team were punctual and got the job completed without a hitch. We will call Mark when we need a tree service in the future!
