The limit switch had to be ordered from Seattle & as soon as it became available it was installed. The furnace is working fine. Senior discount was applied! Service was very friendly & professional.

Fan on exterior A/C unit stopped working. Called and they were able to have a tech come out to look at it the same day. Since the unit was 23 years old and the part was not readily available, decided to look into a new unit. Randy was able to come out the next day to give an estimate which was within what I was expecting. Install was originally scheduled for a couple of weeks out, but was done the next week due to an opening in their schedule. Installers were on-time, and did a good job. The only negative so far is that I've found 2-3 sheet metal screws that look like they were used for the ducting lying around on the garage floor. (They did clean/sweep up when they were finished) Had a positive experience overall, and I'd use them again.

My sister used them so I stopped by one night and got a contract with them where they come out once a year to do an inspection and anytime I have problems, they will come out and take a look. If I need any parts I get a discount. There was no charge for this visit because it was part of the contract. They seem to be competent. I like that they vacuumed everything up. They told me everything was working fine. I think I have to remember to call them to come out. I didn't get a reminder this time. I thought I should have them out before winter hits so I called them. I put a reminder on my calendar to call them. The overall contract I am happy with, I don't remember what I paid.

The actual appt. went well. However, getting the quote for service, that is/was a no show.

They are very good and professional, the tech's name was Jake.

They did really good. He did a nice job and he was clean. He did a really good job. Made sure everything was running and was very pleasant to work with. I didn't really check prices. I went back to them because I had used them in the past and they did a good job and had a fair price. They showed up within the time line that they said they would which is always good. They called ahead of time to let me know they were on the way. They took care of it.

Technician showed up nearly an hour after the appointment window without calling. Then began yelling at me for mentioning he was late. I called their office where the owner was rude, insulting me for being "immature" for not having all day to wait around. Extremely unprofessional and terrible service. Avoid Western Heating and Cooling in Scappoose, Oregon at all costs!

We had no heat with a 15 degree morning. They were able to schedule us immediately and arrived in an hour and a half. Technician was knowledgable enough to know exactly what the issue was with our gas furnace and had it repaired and running again quickly. Pleased that I was billed for a regular service call.

First she talked to me on the phone. I explained to her that we where changing the service from a gas dryer, and we needed to extend it out a foot or two longer because we where putting in a new stove. She told me it wouldn't work and it would cost me between $400 - $700 dollars. They sent someone out. They did have to go through the drywall because it was going though the laundry room into the new kitchen. The total length was two feet. She told me that they would probably have to run a new line, which was okay because the meter was right on the other side of that wall. The guy comes out and says "Yeah, we can use this line." But he said the cost would be more than $400. The work only took a what seemed like a few minutes, but I feel it could have been cheaper. They did it fast and they did it right, and that is what matters.

Did not last for an hour and still charged me. Also charged me for a service call when I was due a contracted appt. anyway.

They showed up immediately! I called at 10AM and they were at my house before 11!! WOW...and I wasn't even in a rush! . The office said there was a cancellation and a tech was available right then. The technician answered my questions, showed me the failed part and explained what had gone wrong. He was so efficient and professional, I signed up for regular spring and fall maintenance inspections which provide for 15% discount on any repairs, no overtime or weekend rates and priority service. Even though the price seems a bit high, it includes $255 as the annual service agreement. I hadn't put any $ or effort into my HVAC systems for a dozen years since everything was working fine....shame on me. Now that the system is getting older, I hope to have it last as long as possible. Regular inspections and preventative maintenance will help that a great deal. This firm seems to have more than 1 location in the metro area and I like to help out local companies. You won't be sorry with these guys.

The company never called me after the service then a month later our renters called to say the furnace was not working. My husband called Western heating to see if the problem was related to the tune up and they told him if it was their fault or if it was due to the tune up they would fix it with no charge. The company never called us after the 2nd service call either, no contact. We called the renters and were told that the guy came out and nothing was wrong with the furnace. So imagine my surprise in April when our renters gave me a letter addressed to me mailed to the rental address that turned out to be a bill from western heating and cooling for $89 for a 12/30/13 appointment to clean the filters with a due date of 4/26/14. So I called the company to see why they were billing me for a service that should have been included in my voucher and why no contact then a bill 4 months later in my name to a house I don't live in. The lady on the phone said they changed their billing system and that was why there was a 4 month delay in billing. They did not have my husbands info or our mailing address so they mailed it to the rental property. She told me the standard service call was $98 and I should be thanking them for lowering it to $89. I asked why the filters needed to be cleaned as they were suppose to be cleaned in the service call a month before. She told me the furnace was working fine when the tech arrived and they cleaned the filters at the first service call and did it again so they could show the tenant how to clean them and that they explained operation to the tenant. I told her that I felt like it was a scam as they were billing me for something they should have done with my voucher purchase, they should have called me or my husband after each of the service calls to communicate with us, and they should not have waited 4 months to bill us for a 2nd service call to do what the voucher paid for in the 1st service call. I asked if she could do anything to eliminate or lower the bill. She told me that the owners were out of town and that she would call me the next day and let me know. 3 days later she calls to tell me the best she can do is lower it to $70. While I do appreciate the company lowering the bill I am still very upset with the serious lack of communication, sub par service for vouchers, no contact, billing 4 months after a service call, and billing to the wrong person and to the wrong address. Very disappointing experience. No communication.

Absolutely perfect. Would like to mention that this company has the nicest personnel I have worked with from office, to technicians. They all are amazingly respectful and polite and will certainly do business with them. You could not go wrong with this wonderful company.

This was an amazing experience. I had to have my stove moved with only one day's notice, and Western Heating and Cooling made it happen! Every interaction with them was exceptional, and they made me feel that I was in good hands. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. I was able to text some pictures to Darcy so that they would know what needed to happen and get me a quote. They handled getting the necessary permit and dealing with the City of Portland for the necessary gas line pressure test. While I was waiting to find out when they could schedule my appointment, they called me back just to reassure me that they were indeed going to be able to fit me in, which greatly alleviated my stress. They were able to fit me in at 7am the next day, and they arrived exactly on time. The two men who did the work were professional and did an excellent job. The job even ended up costing less than the estimate I was given. Basically, this could have been a nightmare experience, but thanks to Western Heating and Cooling it was smooth sailing!

Western Heating and Cooling did a real good job. The worker was very knowledgeable and they did a good job. They offered me other services, but there were extra things that I didn't want to go with. They were fine that I didn't want anything else done. They've also been out to give an estimate on some other work, but I haven't really followed up on that.

The service technician, Russ, was friendly and informative. The job area was left neat and tidy. I've used them before and am planning to have them come out regularly now. 503-543-5599 or 503-647-5808 are their phone numbers. The person who answers the phone is also very pleasant and helpful. They even called to let me know that Russ was coming a bit early.

It went very well. The appointment was made for the day after my call. Russ showed up exactly as expected and quickly fixed the problem and took a few minutes to explain why the connection had leaked. $98 for a service call seems a little bit on the high side for my expectations but based on the results, I'm completely satisfied.

They are very punctual. Their price was reasonable. The worker was very professional. It was good enough that I went ahead and got a service contract from them to come back every year and do annual service for me. I would use their service in the future too.

I used them because of their location and they have a good online presence. He was on time and professional in my home. He seemed to have all the tools necessary to do the job. He did a great job.
