Wallace came over to look at the work to be done. He mailed an estimate, but not for another week and a half, and we had called him twice in the meantime and left messages. But the price seemed reasonable. He was busy right away, so we waited a few weeks for the work to commence. He did it all within 8 working days, but no weekends (except the 2nd Sat. since he had promised it done the day before, and we had a party on the Sun. and we established that we wanted it done before then up front). The work was done quite nicely, with the exception of some debris still on the wainscoting from when I removed the wallpaper before; I would have liked to clean it before he replaced the sink cabinet, b/c now it's impossible to get to it, but you can still see the white film on the side between the wall and the cabinet. We paid him on the last day, and he charged $350 over estimate for supplies. I am not sure why that much (we bought the floor, sink, fixtures), but did not ask.(should have!)

The whole experience was great from start to finish. Wallace took an extra week to give us his estimate, but made up for this with his hard work, great communication and great results. The bid was close to the final cost, a thousand extra was added for some additional plumbing, but this cost was shared as we own a duplex with a friend. Wallace did excellent work on every facet of the bathroom and it came out even better than we'd hoped. He is incredibly knowledgeable and is willing to share this knowledge at no extra cost. When some of the plumbing work done needed some additional work, he made sure to come back to do the repairs in a timely fashion. The timing of the work took longer than expected (approximately 10 days) but Wallace made sure to keep us updated as to why delays occurred and did his best to do it in as timely a manner as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Wallace to anyone interested in quality work at a reasonable price.

He's good to work with and his prices are reasonable.

The basic things are timeliness, knowledge, quality, professionalism and attitude. Wallace was outstanding in all categories. He never missed a day of work. Rare part-day absences were always explained. Wallace always seemed very knowledgeable about construction techniques and he worked with exceptionally well qualified sub-contractors. I found that his quality standards and finished work to be quite high. His suggestions and recommendations were always useful. Wallace shows an excellent work ethic and a professional but friendly attitude. The job was always left in a neat and orderly fashion and after construction was complete the entire area was thoroughly cleaned and inspected. I would not hesitate to recommend Wallace for kitchen, bathroom or any general home repairs.

Wallace Rainey has remodeled my kitchen, bathrooms and other rooms in both my condo and now my house. He is honest, fair and very dependable. He is truly one of the most trustworthy individuals I have ever had in my home. When there is a more economical solution to a job, he encourages his clients to go that route. Wallace has done small and large projects for me for over 10 years, and I have always been pleased.

Wallace has been my go-to guy for four years. He is friendly, respectful, tidy and creative. I might be able to find someone cheaper, but I've come to know that I can trust Wallace and he stands behind his work. He keeps pretty busy, but he's worth the wait.
